‘BE CAREFUL OF STONES THAT WILL SEAL UP YOUR FAITH’
January 28, 2022“A BOTTOMLESS HEART”
[Matthew 13:1-13]
The parable Jesus was speaking about in this verse was about the Word. Although they could hear what He was teaching they could not comprehend. The Bible says the foundation should be Christ. Many are challenged in life and because they are not rooted they are scorched. The seeds which fell on the good ground continued to yield fruits, however, the seeds which fell on good ground underwent the same procedure as the ones which fell on bad ground.
Hence it does not mean the sun does not scorch the seeds which fell on good ground, but because of the good soil, the seed is able to spring up and produce fruits. Therefore what was of outmost importance was the good ground, despite if it is rocky or not. The sun nourishes the fertile ground. The one who receives the seed is the one who decides how it grows or multiplies but they all receive the same seed.
(Verse 9) He who has an ear to hear, let them hear. They all listened to Jesus’ teaching and they all had ears, however, Jesus was seeking a certain ear. Such an ear is the one which distinguishes us, it is what sets us apart – some to be on good ground, some rocky ones, and the other ones with thorns. Many have fertile grounds but also have an ear for the world which causes thorns on their fertile ground.
The disciples wondered why Jesus taught in a parable. However, how Jesus answered them illustrated that the parable was not only for the crowd but also for the disciples. (Verse 11) He answered saying., ”…because it is given to you, to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of heavens” – the mystery is the parables. Jesus already knew who He was teaching.
To know the mysteries is intimacy, when Jesus spoke to them in parables it meant that they were engaged and not yet married. Only after they become one with the Word (Mystery) and there is intimacy then after such they are now married to Christ. Engagement can be broken but not marriage. To many, it is a parable but to us, it is a mystery.
It often seems easy for one to separate themselves from their spiritual shepherd, from serving but it is difficult for one to separate themselves from the Word because that is intimacy. The Word is able to take you back from the things which you separated yourself from, but this can only happen when you have become one with the Word.
Hence it is then questionable as to what kind of the Word you have, which cannot take you back to serving. It is either you are the wife or a prostitute, it is either you are intimate with the wife or the prostitute. It is impossible to be a wife without serving. Intimacy is what keeps us busy in His house, with such you become intimate and serve in His house.
Hence if love does not compel you then there is no intimacy and it is difficult to serve. The sole purpose of the wife is to satisfy the husband.
[1 Corinthians 7:10-36]
“Now to the married, “I command, to you not but the Lord, a wife is not to depart from her husband. (25) Now concerning virgins, it is good for a man to remain as he is. (27) Are you pledged to a wife and do not seek to be loosed. (36) If any man thinks he is behaving improperly towards his virgin if she be past the flower of her age.”
Where there is intimacy there should not be separation but where there is no intimacy there can be separation. Intimacy makes you one. Those who have the Word, it has been rooted in them and cannot be uprooted, one does not have the right to uproot it either.
[1 Corinthians 2:8-11]
For those who love Him (marriage), we have been given the right to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heavens. Hence when we read this scripture we no longer say no eye has seen or ear has heard because we have been graced to witness His mysteries and become intimate and one with Him. Where there is no love, one cannot experience the mysteries of God.
Jacob worked for 7 years and yet did not know what was prepared for him. He only noticed through intimacy that he was with Leah and not Rachel.
Similarly, some have realized in their walk of salvation that they once received wrong teachings, what you received you thought it was the Word until you received the real Word. Similar to Jacob, he had thought that Leah was Rachel, but he was misled. We ought to find our Rachel and it is hard to break such a marriage. What God has prepared for us, the Word and intimacy makes you one with the Word.
[Genesis 29:10-28]
Once you have been intimate, you cannot be deceived. Often many want to find themselves one with the Word but yet have not worked. There is no intimacy without meditation.
Many open scriptures to validate what has been taught to them and that is not intimacy. Most importantly we should meditate on the Word day and night (see Joshua 1:8). We must seek the mind of God and this is through meditation. We often have to search because our mind carries both the Word and other things, hence we must go deep and find the seed in order to water the seed.
[Proverbs 25:2-4]
It is the glory of God to conceal a matter (the secret and mysteries), but the glory of kings is to search. Therefore it is the nature of God to hide mysteries and that is why we should then continue to search. In order to know the deep mysteries of God one must search scriptures, not to validate but to search. Your thirst for the things of God matters. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst (See Matthew 5:6). We are strengthened when we hunger.
God continuously conceals Himself, hence we must continue to search. We ought to seek His face daily, it is a command that God wants us to search and seek Him. We are born into a Kingdom, we are therefore regarded as kings and our glory is in seeking Him. Deep calleth unto deep, the deep is endless and that is the Word of God.
As the heavens are high and the earth is deep, so are the heart of kings – they are unsearchable because they carry mysteries in their hearts. Those who search the heart of God are bottomless, continually being called into His deepness. We carry in our hearts that bottomless river of God. Persecutions open up the heart and the river flows. We carry in us a bottomless heart and our hearts are unsearchable. Therefore such a heart should not carry offense. Allow the blood to speak on your behalf, whenever we are challenged or confused.
