Do you (genuinely) believe

The power of water
August 15, 2019Matthew 8:26 He said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was [at once] a great and wonderful calm [a perfect peacefulness]? Prayer can be administered but without faith it does not touch God. Believe and fear cannot go along, hence Jesus rebuked the disciples when they called out to Him steered by fear of the storm. The disciples did not call to Jesus for help because they had faith in God but because they feared to die. Fear can never please God. Many Christians pray out of fear and not faith because they do not believe in God. Hence I said yesterday, ‘many people pray for jobs because they are afraid that they might die of hunger.’ This is the knowledge that people have that if you do not have an income; you will die from starvation. Thus, their prayers are based on and come out from a place of fear not faith. Paul encouraged us to pray by the Spirit.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love Many prayers are not answered because of fear; remember only faith can please God. You should not pray out of the knowledge of what you are going through but pray through the Word. Many believe the report of a medical doctor more than the report of God. You know that cancer kills but what is God saying? People saw someone dying from cancer and they believed that it kills. Remember, when there was an outbreak of HIV/AIDS? The world was shaken the moment it they knew that HIV/AIDS kills and it is incurable.
Since this is the knowledge and experience of the world, and most of us believe it; why is it impossible for us to believe that God heals as we know and have witnessed Him heal others? Why can’t we run with such an experience inasmuch as we run with experiences from the world? Today we are able to stand and sing that we have seen the Lord, such songs are not sang only when you have encountered the Lord personally, but also when you see Him [God] in other people’s lives. This is what we call a testimony, so let us have the same mentality with the Word of God.
Psalms 56:3 says, When I am afraid, I will put my trust and faith in You. David chose to trust the Lord rather than trusting men. When he [David] faced Goliath, he went with the confidence of what he once conquered [the lion and bear]. Though comparing Goliath with what he conquered, you realize that a lion and bear are nothing before Goliath, the giant; but David did not measure the strength of the enemy but believed in God. He did not calculate but faced Goliath with trust in the Lord.
If you do not believe God for what He is about to do for you, remember what He has previously done for you. When God approached Moses, He had to make reference to Jacob, Isaac and Abraham for Moses to believe. Therefore, if God can heal your headache, He can give you that house. Jesus told Nathaniel that if he believed because of the spoken Word, he will see greater things John 1:10. What Nathaniel experienced was not the end, greater was on the way. Receiving a job was not the end but it was only the beginning of what is great! Therefore, do not conclude with what is of the beginning. If fear tells you that you won’t have food tomorrow, do not act on its report and allow it to cause you to pray out of fear.
Worry not about tomorrow, this is what the Word teaches us (see Matthew 6:25). Let tomorrow worry that it will be defeated because you are content in the Lord not the situation. If He [Jesus] raised the lame, He will do it for you. Some of you were not even born with that disease or difficulty, so why do you conclude that it is the end of you? If God could heal the one who was born lame and blind, if He could change what seemed natural, what about your situation that just came up recently.
1 Corinthians 10:4 Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered in the wilderness. God was not pleased with the Israelites because there was no evidence of faith and believe. This caused bodies to be scattered in the wilderness whilst they all drank from the spiritual Rock. Some of you sin against God because you receive a Word but it does not work for you because you do not believe. Your perspective matters a lot. You are deprived from God because you lack faith and do not believe.
When the Israelites were in Egypt, they prayed with faith and called on the God of Jacob, Isaac and Abraham and God heard their prayers and answered them. Yet the moment they left Egypt, they changed their prayers and perspective and they started complaining. You used to believe but now it is like a norm for you to be laid hands, and you have become used to the power of God. The Israelites ate from the very same spiritual Rock but some lacked life. Do you still believe? Are you telling me that in your entire life, God has never answered you? If He could answer you before, He will and can still answer you today and forever.
Maturity should not cause you to stop believing. I know that you know and understand the fixed date of the Father but you should not stop believing that God can heal that cancer. Never put knowledge before the Spirit of God. Even though it is knowledge of Christ, we do not study God but we have a relationship. God is not bound in time, be careful not to be found outside the Will of God. When God teaches you about the fixed date, He is not training Himself but you, God is not a study for exam, whereby you can use previous question papers. You can see a baby crawling but God can be teaching you humbleness representing maturity. There is no standard way of being maturity; it is God who declares maturity. You can come without speaking in tongues and God declares you matured. God does not need to open your eyes for you to see Him or to see in the Spirit, but wants your eyes to become His. Sometimes you do not need to behold the face as Moses did but need to become the face. The level of Moses was not the ultimate, without the Holy Spirit he could still see God, what about you who God wants to use your face as His?
Do not tell me about maturity but believe. People become equipped with what God has given them and they end up failing to believe in minor things. The woman with the issue of blood just touched them of Jesus and she was healed but the disciples were with Jesus everyday but they failed to recognize the same power. Not that the power was not there, but they did not know how to receive. The woman came with a different perspective. She did not care as to who was touching Jesus in the crowd. She knew that there was power and just went touching as if she was the first one to touch Him.
John 13:7 How is it that you do not understand? Take note that before this occurrence, Jesus had been multiplying and breaking bread before. Yet, we see the disciples doubting and worrying. What was the sin of the Pharisees? It was unbelief because every time Jesus casted out a demon they said it was Beelzebub. They believed in demons more than God. If I were to fly now, people would say that I am a witch because they believe in witchcraft more than God. Do not compare God with mere man! What do you expect from God, do you expect Him to come walking on two feet? What if He does not even walk? Selah! Have you read the book of Ezekiel? It speaks of wheels pointing at different directions but going to the same direction (1:17 Ezekiel). You can never comprehend God with a close minded perspective.
If you cannot use your eyes and ears then remember what the Lord has done. The disciples were worried that there was only one loaf of bread (see Mark 814), but they once saw Him multiplying bread and they forgot about that and started complaining. This is how Christians think; they tend to forget about the power of God. Not that there were no people who slept with hunger right in the presence of Jesus, but that did not mean that He cannot multiply bread. It is time to open a room, the very room we are told to go in and pray in secret. A room of believe, where only faith and believe is found. The woman built an upper room for the prophet, and when the boy died; Elijah took him to the upper room where only him and God were there and nothing distractive could enter (see 2 Kings 4:32).
Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious with anything but pray; the moment you worry and become anxious you end up in fear. Believe and allow God to take care of you. Your surety should not be on the salary date, or that you have studied enough, do not trust that you are healthy because you exercise or eat healthy but your trust should be in the Lord. Before you received your job, you believed God for the job but when your bank balance is low; you put your full trust on the salary date. Imagine your child being afraid to ask you for a meal and she tells herself that she will only get that meal the day she starts working. When the Jesus instructed them to just open a fish and take out the coin (Matthew 17:27), so why put your trust in people and the things of the world rather than God?
Jesus performed a miracle to everyone who was passing by; He did not wait for people to come to Him. We have lost what Jesus did, we tell people to believe first for God to heal them. The faith that amazed Jesus was when people went to Him with the belief that if they encounter Him they will be healed. It was Jesus who had faith for them that they will be healed. The person you are praying for does not really need to have faith to be healed, does a corpse have faith? It takes you to have faith and believe that the dead person will rise.
It was not the bones of Elisha that carried power to raise the dead but it was the grave 2 Kings 13:21. Jesus did not have to pray for His garment every day for power to manifest, it just needed people who knew how to receive. The people took handkerchiefs to Paul and he prayed for them and they were healed even in the absence of Paul. It means that the handkerchiefs had more faith than the owners because they never lost power and believe that they can heal. Mark 9vs.19 Oh you of little faith, how long must I be with you to know that me and the Father are one. Jesus did not want to perform a miracle just once, when Peter went back to fishing, he forgot the method that Jesus taught him to catch fish. The problem was not the fishing but his mind and his disbelief. Jesus had to go back, fetch and teach Peter again. The power to change petrol to juice is not over but it is the people who stopped believing in it. The very same power that changed petrol to juice can be utilized to change your life of poverty to prosperity.
John 9:6 A blind came to Jesus and [He administered mud and saliva paste to his eyes] then instructed him to go wash. Take note: the blind man was not accompanied by anyone to go wash. How is that possible? The command! Even to the lame man, he just had to pick up your mat and go without the help of those who always brought him to the lake. The thing with many Christians is that if they prophesy one person, suddenly they call themselves prophets but why don’t they call themselves accountants after their done writing accounting tests? Let us reach a level of believe which please God.
YESHUA; A CITY ON A HILL, THE LIGHT THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN!!!
