“Confess And Expose Yourself”
September 22, 2019
2 Corinthians 11:1 I am jealous with a godly jealousy…I have promised you to one husband. Paul is saying he is jealous because the Corinthians have been preserved so that he might present them to Christ as a chastened virgin. Verse (3), as Eve was deceived or drifted away from the Lord he is afraid that the same thing might happen to them. Verse (4), you have been tolerating the gospel that seems like that of Christ. In the beginning, it was him preaching to them and the one they received from the beginning was the true gospel of Christ. Verse (5), I may not be a trained speaker but I do have knowledge… he decreased himself so that he might preach the true gospel of Christ. He says I have lowered myself and made sure that I do not preach myself. There are people who preach the gospel to feed themselves; they dilute the message of Christ.
This is how many were deceived from the gospel. Verse (9), I was not a burden to anyone, he did not preach so that he might get something from them. There are some people who preach according to how it fits them and the moment it is like that; it is no longer of Christ. There was a motive when the devil deceived Adam and Eve, he wanted something from them. Some people preach the gospel because they need something from you. It seems like this gospel is the same while it is not because this other one has a (bad) motive. Paul is preaching like this to expose those who preach with the motive of wanting money. If Paul were here today, he would have mentioned those who preach with motives to get women and money.
Verse (12), some people boast about money and their wives, but Paul says he will continue cutting where they cannot reach (underneath). He will cut deeper in their midst so that he might reach to everyone. Verse (12), they work for Satan because they preach another gospel. (13), what they preach seems true hence it is easy to be deceived. They are smooth talkers and the motive is not correct – if their motive is wrong then it is not God who sent them. Right words might be spoken, scriptures being read and revelations being spoken but you need to discern the motive. This goes further to an extent of TV and to people you love on social media. This is bad connection; it does not matter whether you used to serve with them or whether they are powerful. Nowadays, people who fool others are not ministers only but even the sheep; they deceive one another sheep. If the sheep can divide shepherds, do you not wonder what that deception can do to the other sheep? If the motive is wrong then you will still read the same scriptures and hear the same revelations but the Spirit will not be the same.
How do you determine whether the Jesus being taught is the true One? You do so by discerning the motive(s). I might be teaching you now but there is someone preaching to you during the week on social media. God breathe upon scriptures but the devil can take the very same scripture and breathe another spirit upon them. People are fellowshipping on social media. Some things happen in your life because you are contaminated unaware. Yes, you do not visit churches or watch TV programs however; the problem is that you cannot discern the motives. You cannot separate the motive from the message. Verse (4), For if someone comes to you and preaches a different Jesus from the one you received…you put up with it easily enough, why do you tolerate each other while there are wrong motives? Many of you listen and share while there is a motive and the moment you do that you become deceived like Eve.
People who deceive others are very eloquent and their words are enticing. Even their statuses are powerful, many quote the world to be motivated unaware that they take the spirits also. Verse (18), they boast on how many members they have, their wives and husbands, meanwhile they are not standing in Christ. They do as the world does. They are slaves to the world. Galatians 5:16 Live as free man, do not use grace as a cover up for sin but be a bondservant of Christ. Even though you are free, live as though you are bound as a slave of the master.
These deceivers have motives of getting money, women, and fame – they use grace to cover their motives and claim that God has forgiven them. When you are bound, you do not have a choice. Some people are bound with not having a choice to come to church but are not bound when it comes to sinning. Be a bondservant to a point where even when you want to sin you cannot because you are bound. We are bound to Christ and because of that, we are no longer free to do somethings even when there is desire.
Your chains should be the ones keeping you. Temptation is not a fall but a suggestion, when you crave for something it does not mean you have fallen. Falling starts when you meditate and take action – not when temptation comes. Some people allow temptation and say that grace will cover them. The more you fall into temptation the more sin matures, until you reach a stage where you do not acknowledge what is wrong anymore. Some ministers are like that, the fear of sleeping with women is no longer there. They do that and still come and preach because their conscious is dead (not realizing their mistakes). There is a spirit that delights in resting in Christians than in the people of the world. If I win someone into the kingdom of God, it becomes victory, however what more when the evil spirit possesses a Christian? It becomes victory to the dark kingdom as well.
Verse (16), rather serve one another in love, this means it is still righteous to stop doing something because of someone. There are certain things you were not supposed to suffer from but because of who you liked and shared on Facebook, you inherit their behaviors. You have received the freedom that denies you other things. If the Word, the Holy Spirit, or brethren’s do not stop you, what will then stop you? The cost is no longer you alone but everyone around you. Galatians 1:6], “I am surprised and astonished that you are so quickly turning renegade and deserting Him who invited and called you by the grace of Christ to a different gospel… (8) But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach the gospel other than the one which is true”, it must work in you first before it can work in others. Verse (9), “if anyone is preaching to you the wrong gospel other than one you have received… Paul says some preach the gospel to discredit me, either way the gospel is advancing. To you who have the gospel be careful that those filled by the world (system) do not advance the gospel in you. Have an ear of the Light that can discern.
People do not know the depth of bad connection; it is easy to be contaminated. The devil masquerades as an angel of Light, he comes like that, and you find yourself suffering from things unaware. God can only rest where there is righteousness and where He finds Himself. You need to discern and not just receive any message. They open right scriptures and speak right messages but the spirit behind matters. The world does not know glory but the devil knows, the most dangerous man is not the one who will say I love you not knowing anything about God but the one who comes in the name of God.
It is better to be robbed by someone of the world than a man from God. The bible says it is hard for the one who once tasted the kingdom to come back, out of ten who fell only few (one) came back. It is hard for deceptive people to be restored because when they come back it becomes difficult for them to reach up to your level. To some it will be impossible for them to be restored. Moreover, I have seen how men of God who once had churches and it did not work out fail to go back and serve as a normal servant of the house of God. They are afraid to start from scratch, considering what people will say. If I would fail in ministry, I would quickly run back to my Father, serve, and repent. Therefore, be careful, do not be deceived, but check out the motive!
YESHUA; A CITY ON A HILL, THE LIGHT THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN!
