“CHARACTER OF LAZY PEOPLE – #LAZINESS”

I want to talk about laziness, and this is one of the characters that no one accepts or admits. We all think we are determined, the one who chops onions say he is determined, just like the one who sweeps, washes windows, or does the garden. They all say they have done something; thus they deny being lazy. Even the one who sits and plays cards or the one who wakes up with pajamas and stands at the fence with neighbours, they all deny that they are lazy. I want you to be aware of something when it comes to lazy people, lazy people have excuses in life. They will give you excuses in everything even where there is no excuse. They know how to reason and have an answer to everything. Lazy people see a scam in real business but they are the ones who are easily scammed. Lazy people make decisions quickly and go for quick money schemes because they are lazy to research and know the ins and outs of a specific business.

Many people who scam others, they target or their victims are lazy people most of the time. Yes, there are people who get scammed not because they are lazy; but lazy people become susceptible because they want easy money. Lazy people do not want to study but they want you to study for them. They will always come and ask how does it work but after you tell them, they will not go further and do their own research but their research is listening to people. Lazy people have all the time in their hands. These are the kind of people who know everything at church; they will tell you the whereabouts of everyone. They will tell you who does what and who does what, they easily get information about people. They know who is getting married and who is not, who left who and who was dating who. The way lazy people know the whereabouts of people, they know more than the one who counsels people. Lazy people are determined to know the lives of others. These are lazy people.

Lazy people complain about everything, even about little things. They do not answer in a sound mind but they speak bluntly so. They will complain about the food they are eating but they cannot or do not know how to cook. They will complain about money but they do not know how to wake up in the morning. They will complain about a specific political party or any leader in a specific department; whether a pastor, prophet, apostle, or a leader in the worship team or ushering department. Lazy people excel in complaining. They become aware of everything that happens around them, especially bad things. Let me give you an example from church, in church, we have those who serve and those who are lazy. The ones who serve are too busy to even notice what is happening around them, but the lazy ones are able to tell you who did not speak to the other one well. They are very observant when it comes to bad things. Do not be such a person. Lazy people sleep like nobody’s business. They have a reason or excuse to sleep during the day and an excuse to sleep at night. They have reasons for everything, this is the character of lazy people. They are waiting for someone to save them; most of them are waiting for marriage to take them out of the life situation they are in. As I have mentioned that they complain about everything, lazy people always blame someone about their lives. They will tell you what their parents or forefathers did not do. They will tell you of how they grew up so that we can feel pity for them.

As I said they are waiting for something to come to them, whenever they hear a pastor saying “you will be blessed!” – they go out running because they believe that it will fall from the sky. Lazy people do not know how to stand up for themselves, they do not know how to do research. When they use google they excel and are masters of WhatsApp and Facebook. They are masters in social media, if you would check what they look for, they search for the most handsome guy or lady. They know how to search for pornography videos, they even study sex and know different styles. Yet, if you ask them about investments; they will not tell you about the ins and outs of a company.

Lazy people are good at pleasing their desires; they always please themselves. Their search engine on the internet is according to what they desire. They do not have the future; they do not think of the future but they think for now. Every time they do something, it is for now. Lazy people are selfish because they want to have children but they do not want to build a legacy for them. They are good at making babies but not good at taking care of them. These are lazy people. When it comes to building legacies they always make excuses and will tell you that they are living their own lives. When they grow and have children, they practice Black Tax. They claim that they have raised the children and thus want something from them. Lazy people will never do anything for free, especially when it comes to family; but they always depend on someone.

They never go out of the nest but they always sit while the eagle brings food for them. They know what time mommy should come back from work, these people are very informed on people’s paydays – they have time to observe such things. They even know which Brazilian hair is legit or who bought the expensive one – they are our Daily Suns because whenever you are with them, they will tell us what is trending at church. These are the characters of lazy people, and if you have one of the characters that I have mentioned, know that laziness does not need deliverance but needs you to stand up and do something. Lazy people say they are tired or sleepy as if they are the only ones who get tired or sleepy. Lazy people easily diagnose themselves through google, they already know that they have syndromes. They will tell you that they have a problem, and use it as excuses to be lazier.

If this is you, you need to change. There is no pastor who will lay hands on you and laziness go. I have even seen it in anointed people. They will tell you how called they are and how God wants them to be fulltime in ministry. When you tell them about a job opportunity, they will tell you that this is not for me. They know what they love more than anyone else, they know this statement well “Do what you love”. Lazy people will never put food on the table. They are good at taking advantage of the anointing. They will charge you to see them or get a prophecy. They are the ones who come with revelations of planting a seed or taking out prophetic offerings. Lazy people are lazy to even think, but when it comes to things they like and want they think. They use their brains as they want. Lazy people are good in certain things and also bad in certain things; they will tell you that they love music when you tell them to go and work at the supermarket to finance their career; they will tell you they are not called for it or God does not want me to do it. They will tell you what the Holy Spirit is saying only to fit what they want. These are some of the things that lazy people do but not all things. Lazy people have victims, but they act as if they are victims. So they have people that they prey on, they eat their money, time and even eat them. They will make sure that you wait for them, they will make sure that you go to work and you feed them. Be careful of lazy people and if you are a lazy person, stand up and do something.

Lazy people will tell you that they were unable to go to school while there is NSFAS. They reason with the very same thing that someone went through it and became successful. They will tell you that they did not go to school because there was no money for lunch but someone out there went to school on an empty stomach. They will tell you that there are no NSFAS offices on the campus while there are there because they do not want to stand in the queue. Lazy people will stop going to the NSFAS offices because they were cut off at the queue while someone went for the whole 7 days. Lazy people will say they do not understand because they opened the book for 5 minutes while someone did research.

I am going to say it again; lazy people are good at having sex because after sex you sleep. Hence, lazy people have many kids, where there is laziness, you will notice with many kids. Lazy women have different fathers to their children and lazy men have children with multiple women. Are you that lazy person? They will give you an excuse not to go to school as if they are reading the bible 24hours. They will tell you that God wants them to concentrate on the ministry and be fulltime only because they are lazy to go to university. Let me encourage and advise these ones especially because I am in that department: let us stop being lazy by avoiding school in the name of ministry. Let us stop sitting at home in the name of I am a fulltime worshiper, usher, or prophet yet in your 24 hours, only two hours are used to worship, usher, or prophesy.

Lazy people in this case ministers are not able to raise the sheep well. The question is not whether you are called or not, but are you saying that you are called and fulltime because you are lazy? They are not able to raise the sheep well because when the sheep do not give, they are not lazy to go and knock. They always depend on congregants. They no longer see the congregants as sons and daughters but they see the belly. If you are called, study so that you might be approved. Study so that you may not be robbed in the ministry. It is not that many pastors took money from the church but because they were lazy to study, they trusted people with finances, and money was stolen in their presence. So if we study as ministers there are many things we will avoid.

We will have attorneys, advocates, and lawyers who will speak for us knowing the Word and revelation of God. We will have doctors who will not just give people pills but will also pray for them. We will have psychologists and social workers who will not just sit down with kids and identify the problem according to studies or stats but will also discern and advise and guide them spiritually so. We will also have teachers who will not just teach Mathematics but also teach them how to pray. We will have astronauts who will explore planets, knowing that in the bible it spoke about them and those who study stars knowing that they were there in the bible where God used wise men to give gifts to Jesus Christ.

When church runs away from education, we will not have Christians who will reason like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego or Daniel. We will not have politicians who will reason like Moses and Joseph. We will never have ministers who are wise like Paul and who will be able to stand and say I am a Roman citizen, and I have studied the Law and was circumcised on the eighth day. So to ministers, especially young ones; I say, go to school and stop saying you are a pastor, prophet, or worshiper. Out of 10, all 9 say that they are called and fulltime and only 1 goes to school. When they say they are fulltime, they are even unable to do business. Hence, they easily go into business with their sons and daughters. Here is my advice, go to school and work while you can. Before you tell people to buy the keyboard or to pay rent, do it first. Teach people what you are, do not just be called, and be ignored.

Let us stop being lazy. Do not have pipes with no brain. You sing beautifully but you do not know how much are your royalties. Go to school and invest in the spare time you have before you become famous. Study, we do not want to hear broken English. If you flow in Pedi and Swati but not English, then something is wrong. You struggle with English but you call your ministry ’Yahweh “International” Ministry’. Why is it international while you speak broken English? You cannot call your ministry international while you do not want to go to school and study and know how to communicate. Let us stop all laziness.
Gone are those days where we have musicians who want to sing in the US but do not know how to speak English.

When you speak English with them, they tell you how snobbish you are yet they want their business to be international and to travel the world. How will you travel while you do not know the standard language? So your reasoning tells us your territory and limits. If you cannot stand at church and speak in English, do not expect to go out of S.A and touch people. While you still testify in Zulu as young as you are as if you are elderly, while you insist to speak in your home language but you want to touch the world out there but you do not know the standard language, my brother, my sister you are fooling yourself.

You say you are a business person but you do not know the ins and outs of business; it is time we stop being lazy. When people fail they say they are business people. When they are unable to do something, they look for another thing. Most lazy people should have had doctorates at this point. They are good at saying they will do it next year. They are good at having ideas but not putting it in use. They will tell you that they have this beautiful business idea, three years later they still have it. They change ideas annually so. They are good at registering companies but they do not operate. They are waiting for an angel to do something for them.

This is the truth; you will not go anywhere as long as you are lazy. You will blame the government, your mother, or how you were raised; you will blame your community and everyone except yourself. It is time you become accountable and responsible. It is time you put actions in the words that you always speak, it is time you stand up and stop sleeping. It is time you stop using other people’s brains and use yours. Stop depending on other people and you do it yourself.

With that said: ARISE AND SHINE FOR THE GLORY HAS COME – the glory has come, arise and shine (Isiah 60:1) I like this verse, as long as you do not rise, the glory will not be seen in you but you will be the same as other people. Lazy people are the ones who say pastors are false and they eat people’s money; this is because when other people were doing something after they say I receive; they were sitting thinking that “I receive” will bring something to them. Let us stand up and do something. God has not called us to be lazy but to work believing Him that whatever He has blessed in our lives, we shall prosper.
