‘GOD HATES HOMOSEXUALITY, NOT THE PERSON’ Part 1

God loved us, He did not specify which ones He loved. Your relationship with God starts by God first loving you and you believing. God loves us unconditionally. What separates us from God is not that God does not love us anymore but it is what we do or what is in us. But God still loves us, He loves someone who is burning in hell. But because He wants to destroy sin it ends up destroying even the person that God loves. Hell was not created for any human being but it was created for the devil and his agents. God loves us without any reason.

[Genesis 18:20-26]
God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality and nothing else. The sin that was there was not normal, it was not like any other sin. The minute it says great, it means it surpasses the other- there is measurement. It shows you the level of sin that was there.

[Genesis 19:1-8]
The people of Sodom saw angels as men, meaning the appearance that the angels came by it was of men. They wanted to sleep with men and not angels. Lot calls it a wicked thing for a man to sleep with another man. Lot opted for another sin for them not to practice homosexuality. They rather sleep with his daughters even though they are not married to them. Whether they raped them or whatever it did not matter to him but as long as they do not practice homosexuality. Realise how bad homosexuality. The way it is so bad other sins they were seen as a way out.

We do not have many sins but one sin with fruits. One sin is disobedience that Adam and Eve performed in the garden, homosexuality is a fruit of sin. What made Sodom and Gomorrah to have a great outcry was the fruit of homosexuality. Men wanting to sleep with other men. This is an indication that this is a big sin. Lot was saying that you rather sleep with my daughters out of marriage or even rape them than being homosexual. There were already cities that were performing ancestral worship, gossiping, murdering each other but God never opted to destroy them with fire. The unfortunate part is that in Sodom and Gomorrah there were not even ten people whom God would have saved by not destroying the city. It was only Lot and his family.

Today, it is not because God is okay with homosexuality but because in each and every city there are more than ten people who are righteous before God. People must not think that God is okay with homosexuality but what is saving them is other people who are righteous because He said He will not destroy even if there are at least ten people. This is the spirit that God hates at most. God left His throne to go and see if it is true according to the outcry that is there.

Even when Lot’s daughters got him drunk and slept with him God never saw it fit to destroy them like people who are sleeping with same-sex people. So same-sex is far worse than a man sleeping with his own daughter. There is a great outcry when two men of same-sex want to make love. Jesus could not have died for us if the law did not come first. It is impossible for Jesus Christ to come and die on the cross without the law. The law was supposed to come first so that God could make people see their sins first before receiving grace. The law had to come to make you aware of your sins in order for you to receive grace.

When the law made us aware that we are sinful, grace came and saved us. Churches are not preaching that homosexuality is wrong because the devil is right in the church. Sodom and Gomorrah is in the church. Some of the things are happening in the church because the church is quiet about homosexuality. Some of the leaders, you feel like God has turned against you because you are too quiet about what God hates. He did not turn His back on you but He has turned His back on what you have tolerated in your church. You have turned on what He does not want.
