‘DO NOT HAVE BUCKET MENTALITY’

[Philippians 1:12-28]
‘But I want you to know, brethren, that the things which happened to me have actually turned out for the furtherance of the gospel, so that it has become evident to the whole palace guard, and to all the rest, that my chains are in Christ; and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.’

I was ministering about this scripture in the dream. God communicates with you accurately in dreams because He is the one ministering. In the dream I was ministering about the Will, saying that people want the Will but they do not want the hardcore Will of God. When you are a son under chains you don’t have the privileges to enjoy like others. When you are under the Will of God and your business is not in the Will it’s either you choose your business or God. When you compromise the ministry you compromise Christ Himself. You can never sacrifice His ministry and still have Him because He is His ministry.

What happened with Paul advanced the Gospel. There is a level where when you grow and you go deep into the things of God, you go deep that you sacrifice yourself and whatever you do becomes directed by the chains. You find that you had a perfect wife outside the Gospel but when the Gospel comes she becomes imperfect. When you have these chains you wave away the right of choice. How many Christians look at their lives and think that their lives have stopped? (Verse 13), this is what happens in the world where you thought that your duty was to serve your husband.

Then when Jesus comes and says call your husbands, you realize that you do not have any husbands. The very thing that was supposed to stop her from drawing water made her preach the Gospel. Instead of working for the husband who is at home, she worked for the community in spreading the Gospel. When you do not know who you are you will come and reason with a bucket mentality and say what about my course, or husband. (Verse 14), serving becomes worship. Many brethren saw the light in Paul being in chains.

Everyone knows about this imprisonment because it is not a choice. It is unique. There is no way you can have chains and not do well. You are not looking at what is doing but you are looking at the well. Many think that their lives have stopped since they are serving.

They are preoccupied. You are looking at the bucket yet it will always become empty when you look at the well. (Verse 14), “and most of the brethren in the Lord, having become confident by my chains, are much more bold to speak the Word without fear”, they received confidence through a person bound by chains, meaning He is a letter and the well. People are drinking out of him.

It means you are a tree and that people can eat from you and become. When you take the fruit straight from the tree it has a seed and it produces many but when you get it from the market place it cannot produce because the fruits do not have seeds. There is a mighty sign to accomplish these great things to show that you are a prisoner. (Verse 14), In Paul being in chains and him ministering they started to become as he is.

When you are a prisoner it doesn’t matter the circumstances. Some stopped serving and they stopped becoming because of circumstances. At the beginning of the pandemic, the government wanted to pardon the prisoners but that didn’t last long, even now the prisoners are still jailed. You being faithful and abiding in the Word you encourage and lift others up. Your life becomes a preaching to others without you being aware of it.

The Bible says do not be afraid of the one who harms the flesh but be careful of the one that can kill both the soul and the spirit, but there are Christians who can kill the soul. Jesus says all authority is given, what the devil cannot do we can do because it is given by the Father. There are people who when they see you serving there is renewal in their minds and they become more encouraged. Their souls become saved because of you. Every time you want to leave salvation change your language because it is not all about ‘I’ but ‘we’.

There is a voice crying in the wilderness can’t you hear Him? How is it that there is water in the dessert? Become a tree that can bear fruits in and out of season. When the Israelites wanted to drink water, the water was bitter but there was a tree inside the water. It was in the midst of polluted water but when people ate from it they got life (see Exodus 15:23). (Verse 15-18), Paul speaks about himself, there are people who are busy fighting this but in the end, the Gospel is advancing.

In verse 12 they wanted to stop him, the prison that was supposed to imprison him actually advanced the Gospel. When you are a prisoner and people fight you that is when you advance because in a pandemic we spread more. Even those who couldn’t come to church, now they are able to see the church. (Verse 20-27), there is a manner of life that we should live – the life of a well. When the father is there people have fruits but in the absence of the father, they do not have fruits. It should not be borrowed fruits or a bucket full of water. (Verse 28) You will end up having the same mind as the Father that even when He is not there they see Him.

[Matthew 10:24-26]

A student is not above the teacher. There is nothing more than being a well. Whatever the father has gone through you will go through. Allow the Word to be planted and you become the way it is. You cannot be above the Father but you can be like the Father. No father can teach you to deprive yourself of the world while he did not do that first. Fathers are meant to be followed. When they teach you they teach you to become who they are.

When you come to Him, you become inspired and you begin to bear fruits in all seasons. When you are born of Him through all circumstances they will still prevail.

[Matthew 6:1-7]

This is a bucket mentality. When people come into the kitchen and they see the water in the bucket they think you have all the water you need. Who acknowledges the farmers? When you go to the market place you embrace the store instead of the farmer. A borrowed mentality is in the public.

Where is the secret place? The secret is in the roots. Where does the water come from? You are a tree but the secret room is down there in the prison where no one comes in. Everything is happening in the secret place. (Verse 5), they are not prisoners they can go anywhere they want. (Verse 6), this is when you are a prisoner. You can never be a prisoner and not have a cell. We do not just call ourselves prisoners of the Gospel but you must have a well where you draw water. Where is your cell? God is in the cell. The prison you are in He is there.

(Verse 6)Do you see why many are not prisoners? It is because the door is not closed. When you are a prisoner it is He that closes the door. You can’t go where you want because you are a prisoner. You have chains of the Gospel but God hasn’t thrown away the keys, it is a choice to become a prisoner. We have chosen to be prisoners because there is nowhere to go. You need to close the door, you can’t be a prisoner and not close the door. Many are out of prison because they opened the door.

[John 4:26]

They were in the well with a bucket but she was in the secret place in the dark, she had to spread what she had to the light. She was alone with Christ in the cell (dark). The light is the reward because prayer is communication. (Verse 31), this food is in the cell, there is certain food you cannot have unless you go inside the cell. The woman saw the Father – how did she see the Father?

When you enter the cell you become the tree. People see the tree growing beautifully but they do not know where you get the water. You are a tree right rooted under where people die. The Samaritan woman entered, she was in the secret room and Jesus gave her food that no one knew about. He says you prepare the table in the presence of my enemies but there is food that enemies do not know about. The woman entered prison and became what Jesus is.

You are the only one who knows your cell and you are the only one there. The woman didn’t go and consult, she just went into the cell. My food is to do the Will of God. People are crying saying there is no food but not you. I have food that you know nothing about. Those who think the world is much nicer, haven’t tasted the Word. When you taste the food in the cell you wouldn’t want to go back anymore. People will come and urge you to eat. When someone comes with food that is not from the cell you must know.

Jesus sat with them and said the one who will dip this bread will betray Him. There is a table in which when you eat the devil enters you. Never receive food from someone who never died at the cross. There are people who get possessed in church. Never allow anyone who has never gone through the table to feed you, eat from the table above. There is a table and the body in the cell. The body is now in the sacred place whilst people look for Him in the grave. There are those who eat the body from the cross and those who eat from an open heaven.

[Acts 16:16-35]

Never close a church for a prisoner because we are used to things that are closed. Never put a prisoner in prison because they are masters of prison. (Verse 24), in the dungeon there is no light, God lives in the thick dark cloud. Matthew 6 says shut the door when you pray, meaning they were in the secret room in the dungeon praying. (Verse 27), you are a prisoner so there is no reason for you to escape because you are used to it. I am asking you as a son and daughter, if the circumstances that made you to serve were removed would you escape? Have you bonded with Him to an extent that you still stay in jail even when the chains are loosed?

Haven’t you bonded with the Father? Jesus became the Christ after the resurrection but He still found the lamb there because He loves prison. As much as He is a lion He is still a lamb. (Verse 28), all the people in the prison got born again. The minute you go back it means you must go back to jail in the inner chamber. (Verse 31-33), everyone was baptized, they were still in prison but his household was born again. (Verse 35), they were still in prison, never go out of prison. Save them while you are in prison. Let them follow you and they come where you are.

The chief magistrate had to go to prison and apologies to them there. Your light cannot shine if it’s not given in the dark. Are you Yeshua a city on a hill? You are a city that receives the message in the dark – prison. Don’t allow anyone to fool you, you are a prisoner. And in prison there is food, why do you allow someone to tell you about food that is outside? People are busy discussing what you eat in prison but they are not even there. You are a prisoner, remain like that. No more bucket mentality, you are a well. Become a tree because no one can define the kind of roots you have.
