FOR EVERY ENDURANCE, THERE IS A BLESSING
August 25, 2022
ACKNOWLEDGE THE LIFE WHICH IS THE LIGHT
August 25, 2022Woman, stop running. Stop making plans because eventually you are going to run out of options, out of strength and you cannot sustain it forever so, stop running. Just remain and endure. The message for us this month is endurance. Stop running just like Haggar, stop making plans, and stop coming up with other means because eventually, you are going to run out of strength.
Human strength has an ending, so you need the kind of endurance that is not human-made or that which you put yourself under but one where it is God taking you through that trial and test so that in the end it may produce something. Your endurance should succeed. In the process of endurance, learn to be content with where you are and what you have because not being content is a poison that kills endurance. You will never find yourself enduring anything as long as you are not content with where you are and what you have.
[1 Timothy16:3-6]
Many of us are godly but we are not content. This verse says godliness with contentment is a great gain. These people are using salvation as a tool to gain wealth, but the question is are they saved? Because salvation is not a tool for wealth, but it is wealth on its own. If you are a person who is ungrateful and who is always worrying in their heart that they don’t have this and that and demanding that the Lord does it now, then where is your great gain?
Suffer your need and you will have peace, whatever you need, suffer it because that is endurance. The Bible says we ought to seek first the Kingdom of God and the rest shall follow. Many are not aware that what they need is the rest, not many people are seeking the Kingdom of God, but they are mostly seeking the material things.
These people use godliness as a gain but still, they don’t get it. When you suffer, you end up having a clear mind and you can make the right decisions. This endurance that we are reminding you about will help you have a clear mind and make the right decisions. Reduce your needs and you will be happy and at peace. This season is the kind where God does not want us to even pray about our needs.
Pray and commune with the Father, do not pray about what you need because the minute you pray about it you are basically communing with the problem and not with the Father. It may seem as though you are praying to the Father, but you are actually communing with the problem. So, don’t pray about it.
[Mathew 24:1- 9]
I know we are speaking of endurance, tribulations, trials, and patience, and yet verse 9 says, ‘they will deliver you up for My name’s sake.” Ask yourself that since you have heard of the message of endurance is it still for His name’s sake? Because if it is in your name then there are no results, there is no gain. It is for nothing.
(Verse 10), He who endures forever will be saved, will you still be there at the end of endurance? The killings will only touch the flesh not the spirit, the flesh is touchable, and you ought to allow it to happen so that your spirit is saved. They will deliver you and kill you but he who endures will be saved. He is not saying that when this happens, do something but He says let this happen.
Let them deliver you to the killings and endure, hence He says weapons will be formed against you, but they will not prosper. People will fall by your side but you will stand, yet only if you endure. The process of endurance has two ways, which are the input and the output. In the input that is where your character is built. Many can endure but the reason behind your endurance matters because there has to be the character at the end.
[James 1:2-11]
Count it all joy when you fall into various trials knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Let it be complete because it can be there today and yet you find that tomorrow you don’t have patience meanwhile God was going to perfect it by then. When this happens you find that now you start perfecting it yourself and then claim it is the Lord who has perfected it. The problem is although you can perfect your own patience, you cannot sustain it forever. Let patience have its perfect work that you may be complete, let it be perfected by God.
In your endurance do not put a timeline but rather pray for strength to keep you endured throughout because you will never know. Disappointments come in timelines, and they cause you to end up blaming God so never put a timeline for your patience. Never match your patience with another person’s patience because another person is not your benchmark, but the Word is. When we look at the Word it is as in the mirror not when you look at another person. Let your patience be complete, let it run its course.
(Verse 12), ‘Blessed is a man who endures temptation’, starting the process of endurance doesn’t automatically give you the crown but you still need to be approved hence I say your patience needs to be complete. The man who endures temptation is blessed, but he will receive a crown when he is approved. Enduring is a blessing but you still need to be approved and receive a crown.
Many were hooked into the Kingdom by the things they wanted but when they thought they made it, deeper was revealed to them. Hence none can say that they know God because there is more than what you think you have endured, there is a crown of approval that still needs to be attained. The Gospel or the journey of salvation manifolds. It’s in circles yet deeper and higher, it’s not on the same level. You may read the Word today and find that it’s relevant for that time. So continue enduring till you are approved.
[2 Peter 3:14]
He must find you in peace, without spots and blameless. Consider that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation. God, Himself is longsuffering for our sake hence we ought to consider the long-suffering of our Lord. Surely our endurance has something as well. It will produce something so let us endure knowing that tribulations produce perseverance and perseverance produces character. May we be approved and get that crown because we need it so that we can say He is the King of kings while we have our crowns.
