[Genesis 15:1 -18]
A vision and a dream are two different things. When one is awake, they can have a vision but cannot dream while wide awake and walking. Abraham had a vision and in this vision, God was communicating with him. Why is it that whenever one has a vision we are shown and not communicated to? This is another dimension; this is another level.
A vision is not a gift but eyesight. Whereas a dream is played and deposited. Although in dreams God speaks to us in a parable but yet we understand Him. Also, the mind cannot comprehend what God might be saying in the dream yet one is able to interpret it based on what they know. When it comes to dreams, it takes one to be in the presence to know that they cannot be attacked. When one is in prayer and the Word, they cannot be attacked.
God only communicates with us through dreams and visions when we are in prayer and when we have the Word. Meaning every dream is divine. Dreams are not entirely based on what a person thinks or talks about on a daily basis but also their position – where they are spiritually. It is of utmost importance what one does before they go to sleep. Ones heart instructs them and if you sleep while in your flesh then your flesh will instruct you.
(Verse 10) Abraham was able to make a sacrifice in a vision(Trance). Dreams and visions are real because it is the spiritual realm connecting to the physical world. (Verse 12) As the sun was setting down a deep sleep fell upon Abraham and thick darkness came over him. We should always pray wherever we are. Night prayers are important as one’s Spirit is active.
[Psalms 16:7]
“I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel, my heart also instincts me”.
Whenever one is sleeping their hearts continues to speak. What one does before they go to bed every day, is very important because what is in their hearts will instruct them.
[Psalms 17:3-6]
“You have tested my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me and have found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress…”
What makes God converse with us at night is because He will be testing our hearts. Therefore if your heart is empty, then God won’t visit you. Speaking in tongues activates the Spirit-man. You can attain all spiritual gifts, but immortality can only be attained from God. The last enemy to be defeated is death. When one is in the Father and the Father is in them that is a true Christian.
[Psalm 63:6]
“When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches.”
Despite praying throughout the day, praying at night is very important. The spiritual world is more active at night, hence it is rare for one to be attacked by either a spiritual husband/wife during the day. For one to have a beautiful life during the day, they should be prayerful at night. Never sleep without meditating and praying. Time for prophecy has elapsed. It is time to hear God individually.
Unity is the way of God being one, but one being superior to the other is not the way of God. Jesus had 12 disciples and He sent them all out to heal the sick. He never said to one that they are not ready(See Matthew 28:19). Even when they were instructed to go and wait in Jerusalem, He never disqualified anyone. In our respective departments, we need to mature. Joshua took over when Moses died. The revival which is coming brings maturity. Ushers should be raised and also be able to pray for the sick. Students must be like teachers.
Paul wrote to the church that we must imitate him as he imitates Christ( See 1 Corinthians 11:1). Demonstration should not end in the church but we should impact the world.
Deliverance should start in our own household; when the light comes darkness should flee. Noah saved his household(See Genesis 7). Abraham, Noah, and Enoch walked with God and they had no titles, yet today we call Abraham the father of Faith, yet all it takes is for one to walk with God. The church must arise and be influential to the world, there is no longer time to play church.
