BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND FIRE
January 15, 2023[Genesis 22:6-8]
“… And Abraham said, “My son, God will provide for Himself the lamb for a burnt offering.” So the two of them went together.”
The mistake that we do as ministers and church, we provide for ourselves. We do not allow God to provide for Himself. Remember that when Abraham took Isaac, God told him “take your son Isaac and offer him as a sacrifice” so Abraham knew who the lamb is, but while he had fire, wood, and a knife, Isaac asked him where is the lamb. Abraham said “God will provide for Himself”
It is not because he is afraid to tell Isaac that he is the lamb but it’s because there are some things, that can never be provided by man but by God. The lamb can never be provided by man, but it needs to be provided by God.
In the book of Acts when Paul was going to appear in Rome, the boat started to be in the storm then there was a shipwreck and when they were on the island, Paul gathered wood with fire, and a snake bit him (see Acts 27 and 28). The wood and fire represent revival, the outpouring of the Spirit.
When we have an outpouring of the Spirit, we tend to provide the lamb for ourselves. The lamb is the Word of God. People who provide the Word for themselves are people who speak in tongues. Isaac was not worthy that he couldn’t be the Word so Abraham had to say God will provide for Himself.
The Word can only be given by God. We cannot write our scriptures and give out our own Word. Anything that is from our minds is not from God, only God can speak out His Word. Even as I stand and teach you it must be God who speaks through me.
Most of the time we as the church use the Word of God for our own motives and advantage, not for God. Who is providing the lamb? That’s the question I have today for the body of Christ. Even if you can have dreams and visions and when you look at the Word you find that it’s not in the Word then you should not accept it. The deception begins when any spirit in you speaks out of the parameters of the Word.
The Bible that you have is the voice of God, no matter how much you can come up with ideas you must never provide the lamb for yourself. Never speak for God as if God can’t speak for Himself. We have the Bible, Genesis to Revelation that addresses everything in our lives therefore whatever we hear and it contradicts the Bible we are reading then we should not accept it.
It is important for us to always look at the lamb that is sacrificed. At the revival, I said no one could be the perfect sacrifice therefore why are we providing sacrifices for ourselves? No matter how much God can use me, I can never die for you, I can never be a perfect sacrifice for you.
“For all sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (see Romans 3:23) is speaking about all man, from the past to the future. Whenever there was supposed to be a sacrifice, the lamb that is chosen had to be without spots or any defects, that was the rule of sacrifices. Therefore, anything that becomes a sacrifice and has spots it’s not a perfect sacrifice, fire cannot come down and burn it.
The problem with the church is that we have the fire and the wood, but we have taken the lamb out of the altar. The lamb is no longer at the altar but it is our own church system. The altar of God is full of church systems, not the lamb which is Jesus Christ. At the altar, we need to see the lamb, which is Jesus Christ, the doctrine of Jesus Christ nothing else.
We know too much about our churches, and we know too much about the man of God, but we do not know about the doctrine of Jesus Christ. If you know more about me and Yeshua Ministries, in the next years I might deceive you and you will not be aware because you know me not the Word of God.
God said I will give you Shepherds after My own heart (see Jeremiah 3:15) so they will teach the heart of God not teach themselves and their own systems. In prayer and fasting, I said why are we building legacies that when I die my son must take over the ministry?
The church that God is looking for it’s not a family church, God is looking for a church of Jesus Christ that teaches the Word of God.
We must stop taking away the lamb from the altar and putting our own ways. Eli messed up and allowed his sons to come and mess up in the temple. His flesh and blood started to destroy the temple of God.
God raised Samuel among Eli’s sons because their altar was full of bribes and systems of men. If Eli didn’t teach Samuel to hear God Samuel was going to be like his sons. If Eli didn’t say to Samuel when you hear Him calling you again respond and say, here I am Lord (see 1 Samuel 3:9-10) Samuel was going to be like the sons of Eli.
What saved Samuel from the sons of Eli was that he could now hear God. So, when everyone messed up, Samuel could still hear God. It is we ministers of the Gospel who messed up because we teach what we do in our churches, and we do not teach what the body of Christ does. We teach how we must do things in the church and every house is different, but the bible continues telling us one faith, one Father, one baptism (see Ephesians 4:4-6).
Why we are failing to become the same? Why are churches failing to become the same? It shows that churches are full of systems that make us different more and more.
Some men that God uses later let go of the doctrine that Jesus Christ gave them and make their own doctrines because they are trying to protect who they are.
The minute we understand that God doesn’t respect man’s position is the day we will stop respecting our positions. For me to decrease I must not respect this position and respect God. When I respect this position, I will protect it by all means that even when I have lost the way I will not be able to come back because I respect the position.
Positions must not be respected but the Word is the one that must be given out. The God that is ministering to you is the God that is ministering to me. If God can rebuke you, God must be able to rebuke me. If God can bend you, He must be able to bend me. We are tired of the men of God who can’t stand up and say I am sorry I did wrong. This is what is killing the church because men of God stand up as people who are perfect in the Gospel.
Do you know that Peter was not the son of Paul? Peter walked with Jesus but when Paul saw Peter practicing hypocrisy and rebuked him, Peter didn’t say ‘no Paul, you won’t tell me anything you don’t even know Jesus. I heal people with my shadow you can’t come and tell me that I am wrong’. Peter admitted to wrongdoing and repented.
How do we as fathers expect our sons to apologise and confess and repent while we as fathers cannot do the same? Shepherds cannot lead you where they are not walking, if the shepherds do not take a step, you as a sheep can’t a step. God rebukes us as men of God, but we are slow to repentance because we do not fear God more, we fear our church more. We fear losing members more.
It’s nice for me to preach this while the church is small, wait until the church grows is harder. The more the church grows the more people depend on you, and the more it’s hard to preach such messages but yet they still need to be taught.
There are some tests that are brought before us as men of God, and we fail them but failing them doesn’t disqualify us. Denying that we have failed disqualifies us but accepting that we have failed and now we need to do well is what qualifies us. Abraham had to answer and say the Lord will provide because Isaac couldn’t be the sacrifice himself.
[Exodus 3:1-5]
God sends Moses without any scroll (The Word) but he gets the fire and the wood, the signs and the wonders but he doesn’t get the Word of God. That is why his ministry was full of challenges. There was disbelief and sons who didn’t believe who always complained, he never had the Word.
The Word was given to them during the journey. God called Moses to the mountain and the bible says the finger of God wrote down law, not laws. The first thing that Moses received is the commandment, not the commandments.
After receiving a commandment when he came down, he found Israelites worshiping an idol, a foreign god. They took gold jewellery and created their own god, he took the commandment and hits the idol, and breaks it. After breaking it because of anger, he never had the Word of God. When you do not have the Word of God you will have anger and break down what God has given you.
His ministry was moved by anger, ruled by anger, anything that happened he became angry and hits things. It’s not the first time we see Moses acting in anger, when Israelites wanted water, he hit the rock out of anger. So, his ministry was full of anger even though it was successful.
When you are a leader, and you are full of anger you raise sons who are full of anger. Anger travels from the head to the body. Moses had anger in his ministry because when God sends him out, He did not give him the Word but signs. When he was given an opportunity to have the Word, he broke it. The second time God calls him, He no longer gives him the Word He gives him the law.
The law was not supposed to be given. He was given the Word but he broke it because of anger. You do not force the Word on your children, when they do not accept it, you do not force and fight with anger. When Moses found them worshiping an idol because the Word has not found its sanctuary in him, he was full of anger, and he broke it.
Korah, the one who was opposing Moses, anger birthed him. You will always find division in the church when the leader is ruled by anger. I am trying to show you the difference between Moses and Abraham. With Abraham, the lamb was provided by God, and when he was about to slay Isaac, a ram appeared in the bush caught by the horns, God is the one who provided the Word, not Abraham but with Moses, it’s a different thing, we have lamb as a sacrifice that was provided. His ministry is full of emotions not the spirit of God.
People deviated from the doctrine of Christ because of emotions and feelings. We start to become strategic. Fire is from God; the Spirit of God is from the Father Himself. Revival is from Him but who will provide the lamb? (see Acts 2).
Even though Jesus Christ taught them for three years He told them to wait in Jerusalem and when they were waiting the bible says while they were praying there was shaking, and a tongue of fire came down. Prayer is not a sign that you walk with God. Prayer is not a sign that you have it, they were in prayer without a tongue of fire.
The tongue represents the Word of God but it’s not just a tongue it is a tongue of fire meaning revival must not just come and there is no Word. When it is just fire who is providing the lamb? Signs and wonders confirm the Word, and the Word also confirms signs and wonders. The Word alone is not validated there must be a fire(signs and wonders).
The Word is the doctrine of Jesus Christ. I am teaching this because revival is here and there are signs and wonders you are going to see when they start to deviate from the Word of God you must know something is wrong. God walks with the remnants. In July when God said it was the year of Israel is because Israel of the remnants, not all of Israel entered but only 144 000. In everything that God does, He uses remnants.
You can be called by God and move with Him but yet you miss it. We do not hear any scripture that says they were baptised into Abraham, but we hear a scripture that says they were baptised into Moses because they crucified Him with the anger of Moses. When the Pharisees arrested and crucified Jesus Christ, it was the anger of Moses reigning in them. The Pharisees spoke about Moses, not God.
Jesus said I am the bread of life, what Moses gave you was not from him, but it was from My Father from heaven. When there is anger in the man of God it overlaps from generation to generation and all generations rule in it. Israel killed Jesus because of anger of Moses. God said to Moses the first time hit and the second time He said to him point but Moses didn’t point but hits because of anger because people have been complaining.
The book of Corinthians says they are baptised into Moses, they received the weakness of Moses, anger. Whatever Jesus did He said to them are you angry because of what I am doing? I am doing my Father’s work. The things of God can make you angry when anger rules you. If anger can rule Moses what more about us?
Do you know that you do not have to fight for God? When God has given you something you don’t have to fight for God. When you have the Word of God you do not have to fight. You do not have to prove that this is from God. God will testify on His own.
As a minister, if you do not ensure that the Word reigns in your heart at all times you will pour things into your children. You will find that you are raising thieves because you are a thief yourself. The ministry of Moses was full of anger that overlapped even when Jesus was born, anger was still in his children. They said we are not illegitimate children, Abraham is our father, and Jesus said if Abraham was here, he was not going to do what you want to do, he was excited to see my day.
The spirit that rules in the men of God affects everything (families, children, etc). When Mariam and Aaron spoke against Moses (see Numbers 12), Marian was hit by leprosy, that’s the heart of Moses. The heart of Moses is that when you speak badly about him it kills you, it harms you.
Abraham lied about his wife and the king wanted to take her, God spoke but he never hit them. God defended Abraham and said to the king take the wife back because this is my son the king went to Abraham and said to him do you want to kill us, why didn’t you tell us that this is your wife? Nothing bad happened to them because of the heart of Abraham.
There are things we are given authority to as men of God, and how we use authority is dangerous. I can harm you with my heart, I can curse you with my heart. You can be affected because of how I feel and how I am. God is not a bad God, He doesn’t kill, and He doesn’t give sicknesses. It is us, men of God if you do something bad to me and in my heart, I wish you bad, my anointing can respond to that.
It is not something to be celebrated that Moses led so many people and they died in the desert. We shouldn’t celebrate that Moses is dangerous and that when you are against him you will die, and the earth will swallow you. God saved them from Egypt because He loves them. Did God just lead them out to let them die in the desert? I love Moses but ask yourself what is it that made Moses not enter the promised land. Why is it that God begins the ministry with him, but he cannot finish it with him? He just showed him but said you are not going to enter.
Joshua had to come in and take over. Moses, you have something in you that you are not dealing with, and it is preventing you to enter the promised land. It is very important that the one who began the work in us finishes with us. it is important that your purpose, what God has given you must not kill people but must raise people. God is not a bad God, He is a good God.
Jesus entered a city, and they all rejected Him, He never performed any signs then He left, but no one died because they reject Him. That’s the ministry of Abraham not of Moses. Peter denied Jesus three times publicly.
When Jesus resurrected, He knew who to collect, the very disobedient one, He went and collected Peter.
It’s not the message of Christ that those who speak against us, those who oppose us we cannot collect them it is not the message of Christ. He collected Peter and sits down with him and doesn’t say you denied Me, He asked him “do you love Me?” what matters is that you love Me (see John 21:11-17).
Most people who oppose you are people who love you. Jesus had to go and fetch the love, not the act. The act is the disease, but the love is the Spirit from God. Jesus collected the one who denied Him. Ministers we need to love the very ones who say I don’t love you.
Abraham and Lot could have fought (see Genesis 12). When God told them to go out they did and where they were staying the bible says their servants started to fight because the land was too small, so Abraham and Lot had to separate. Lot chose Sodom and Gomorrah, and Abraham chose the land that God showed him but when God was destroying Sodom and Gomorrah, Abraham was the one praying for Lot. Lot and Abraham did not separate because they loved each other, they separated because they were fighting, but Abraham was praying for Lot.
Why didn’t Moses pray for Korah and say please God do not open the land to swallow him? Something was wrong with Moses, and something was right with Abraham. That is why he is called the father of faith, he had the love of Jesus. When you have the love of Jesus you do not delight when people fall. You do not delight when ministries fall. Bad things that happen to other people must not testify about you.
I do not want the misfortune and the things that are happening to people who are wrong to testify that I am the man of God, I do not want that. God did not call me to see when someone dies. We are here to bring life, to heal the sick, to preach the Gospel of Christ because of that when love has ministered when people are raised from the dead when the sick are being healed that’s when you should say I am the man of God. Only love and the Word of God must minister and testify.
