God is about to do something scary and strange for you. Allow Him to give you all your needs. Jesus is the source and perfector of our faith. You cannot believe unless your faith is perfected. Faith is what we see, it is Jesus Himself. We have not fought as Jesus did, but He fought in order to perfect faith. This is not about taking away the faith but to cause it to mature in us so that we can believe.
[Hebrews 11:1], says, ‘’Now faith is the evidence of the things unseen’’. Evidence can never be invisible. Therefore, it means that faith is tangible; it is a substance. The moment faith is mentioned, people think that we speak of something that is intangible. Faith is prove of things that we do not see, meaning that faith testifies of what is not seen. Jesus walked on earth not to destroy but to perfect. Faith cannot exist being intangible. Everything in the Old Testament was a shadow of things to come, proof (Jesus) came and yet was rejected.
[Hebrews 11:3], ‘’By faith we understand’’, not that God works by faith. Jesus (faith) came to make us understand that the earth was created by God not faith. The duty of Jesus’ on earth was to make us aware and understand that the world was fashioned by God. Jesus did not come to testify of Himself but of the One who has sent Him. Yet, the one who sent Jesus is not from afar but right within Him. Unto us a child (Jesus) is born and a Son (Christ) is given.
The Israelites kept on waiting on the Messiah without the knowledge that Jesus was the hope of Christ. They were given evidence (Jesus) but they rejected it. The evidence was proving the events that took over then. Thus, those who believed without seeing Him received the end results of faith. You cannot believe without faith being fully matured. So, Jesus needs to be fully formed in you. The acceptance of Jesus is the beginning of Christ in you.
Let us take a murder case as an example, imagine a suspect is caught and arrested by the help of the evidence brought forward. We do know that the information will be stored safe and the suspect become a prisoner, so it is with accepting Jesus – the evidence of Christ. Jesus becomes stored in you and you become captured by the chains of Christ. So one needs to understand that evidence causes you to be arrested.
[Colossians 1:15], ‘’Jesus is the exact likeness of the invisible One.’’ They were looking for God, but little did they know that they were walking with Him all along. Hence, the world will look for Him and not find Him but us (Sons) will see Him as He will be in their hearts. Thus, let us pray for the eyes of our hearts to be opened. You asked for a sign, open your eyes. “How long should I be with you?” Jesus asked the disciples -see [John 14:8]. They saw the Lamb (Jesus), but failed to see the Lion (Christ) inside. Christ is the first born of all creation. When was He created? When God said, ‘‘let there be light’’ – see [Genesis 1:3].
So faith is the hope of things unseen, it means those “things” are there, it is just that people cannot see. So Christ is not far, He is not up there but right in our midst. We are not speaking of someone who is from afar but we just reading the evidence.
[James 2:14], ‘’what good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds?’’ Have you heard people say, Christians love things that are tangible? Well, you cannot reject what is seen and believe in what is invisible. At the table, Jesus said, “This is my body” – He didn’t say, it represents, but it was His body – [Luke 22:19]. Hence, they are waiting for His second coming because they do not have Him in their lockers and fridges. We did not find Him but we were found by Him, He reveals Himself to those who are sick not to those who are well.
Most of you did not even think you will be born again, but here you are. Hence, Jesus sent the disciples and told them that they will be fishers of men – meaning that the men will not come to them but the disciples will go to the waters below (come to us the fishes), taking us to where they are, that is, the waters above. We were brought into the glory, into the light. Someone has to be captured.
The great Shepherd goes out to look for that one sheep (church), leaving the 99 sheep (churches). This 99 were seeking God but He left and went to look for that one that is lost. “I am sending you out as sheep among wolves” – you will go out of church buildings and will speak highly of me even in the wilderness – see [Matthew 40:16]. When Samuel went to the house of Jesse, there was a young man (David) who was searched and found, while there were other sons who were trying to please Samuel. The one from the lowest position was the one (David) chosen to be King of Israel. Do not think that your position in the house will guarantee you being chosen.
You need to exercise your faith. Faith without deeds is dead, be careful that Jesus is not dead in your heart. The works of the Father needs to be seen. Jesus did the works of the Father. If the Invisible one is in your midst, He must perform, your duty is to just say a word.
[Revelations 5:5], “The Lion of Judah has conquered” – the invisible will conquer but you will see the visible (Lamb). Wherever the Lamb is, the Lion is there, but could they see the Lion conquering? Yet, blessed are those who believed without seeing – [John 20:29]. “No one can take away my life but I lay it down”, Jesus could die but not Christ – see [John 10:18]. Look, any church without power, miracles and signs; is not worth fellowshipping at. Such churches are among the 99 that the Father left behind, to look for the lost, the sick and hungry one.
YESHUA; A CITY ONA HILL, THE LIGHT THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN.
