[John 6:26], “Jesus answered them and said you seek me not because you saw the signs but because you ate the loaves and were full”, we know that bread perishes. Verse (12), “Jesus took the loaves and when He had given thanks He distributed them to the disciples…” The moment He gave thanks it means the bread, became the bread from above; and was no longer normal bread. For us to see that the bread was from above, look at how it multiplied. This was a sign of multiplication, but the multitudes were not there because of the sign but because of their bellies.
“I will give you a sign like Jonah, as he was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights, so shall the son of man be in the belly of the earth for three days and three nights.” The moment Jesus was on the cross, He became the stone and not bread anymore. Through their perception the people missed the power that was at work. Verse (26), “…they took boats and followed him, then he said you are not seeking me because of the sign, but because of the bread…” There was a sign which they did not see hence Paul says “…eat with discernment.”
The boy who had the fishes and loaves was from the earth, and he represented the Fathers from the earth, so when Jesus took the bread and said “…thank you…” It was no longer normal bread but it was a stone. This anointing is olive oil which we bought from the shop but the moment we said “thank you…” it becomes oil from above. When it is from above, it is no longer from below, but it becomes oil from the olive trees. The church needs oil from above, and we need to say “thank you…” for that reason. They ate, but their bodies were not enhanced because they ate like it is from a boy and not from the Father. They were there for three days, hungry, but Jesus did not answer them with food. It is the disciples that said the people are hungry, Jesus had a better plan which is to give them food that does not perish.
Why did Jesus who is a spiritual man, had to take a tangible thing and multiply it? He took bread and fish and multiplied it, He did not thank the boy that gave Him the bread, but He thanked the Father. There are people who seek to be filled, instead of them asking God to perform in everything He gives them. Verse (27), “Do not labour for the food which perishes but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of man will give you.” The problem was not the Son of man but it was with them because they received the bread like the bread of the earth.
The bible says, “Faith is an evidence of something of things we hope for.” The moment you move with a thing, you understand it is Christ, because a human being cannot be a thing. Christ is the invisible image of the visible God. There is something invisible which is a thing, and it is not a matter of gender for there is no gender to those who are born of God. I am not a Father by gender, but a Father who is a thing – hence I am Unknown. You pray for something else but God answers you with a thing. You wanted a gift of a job, healing, but God answered you with a thing. He has no beauty but those who are chosen worship Him.
Imagine worshipping a thing, there is nothing like Him – He stands alone. The Word is formless, it does not have hands or feet. The minute it is a thing it is a mystery. Verse (11), “How much more will the father in heaven give good things?” Many run for impartation from earthly Fathers, they move from one minister to another. Jesus never put a title upon Himself, leave titles for babies. When you are moved by a title, you become offended when someone calls you something else you are not, for instance calling a prophet a pastor – some become offended because of that. This is because they work in the market place. But we have come to the standard of Christ. When I see you, I know that you are the least of Benjamin – without a title. Hence Paul says, “The mystery of God was given to me by grace.” [Ephesians 4:7], Grace was given and not titles. Verse (8), “When He ascended on high He led captivity captive and gave gifts to men”.
He took gifts and bestowed them upon men, those who are captive do not decide when to prophesy because it is Christ at work in them and they are captivated by the gospel of God. We have people who backslide because they are not held captive. When you are bound by the chains of the gospel even when you want to stop serving the power pulls you back.
It is not a matter of choice but of being captured. The chains are already there and you cannot cut them. When you eat the stone, it stays in you unlike bread which decomposes and go out. Verse (9), “He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens that he might fill all things.” When Jesus descended He came with gifts, but when He ascended He left the gifts behind. Verse (11), “And He himself gave some to the apostles, some prophets and teachers for the equipping of the saint for the work of ministry”, most of us became born-again because a gift preached to us – meaning that it equipped us. The ministry begins when the saints are equipped and not when the gift operates. Sons are not gifted but they themselves are gifts. Jesus is not gifted but He is a gift because unto us a child is born and the Son is given.
I have realised that since Jesus resurrected, we have been failing to break through to the other side. The disciples failed when they received the tongues of fire – He gave them gifts to equip the saints but instead they repeated what their Fathers were doing. Hence Paul says, “Who has bewitched you?” Creation has been waiting for manifestation of Sons and not prophets and pastors. People have become excited with gifts and want gifts now and again. It is time we forget about gifts. It is time to become a Son – when you are a Son you are without choice. You do not have a calling but you are chosen. When you are a Son you do not ask to grow (spiritually) but you seek the Father and grow.
Gifts are seasonal, hence people go for impartation all the time. A gift operates for a time, hence when the season ends, people feel like you do not have power anymore. There was a time when people loved traditional healers but now people love prophets, (because it is a seasonal thing). Let us go for what is above and not bread that decomposes. Do not become part of people who equip saints while they themselves are not equipped.
A mother gives a child food that she ate, but we have ministers who do not do this – they give their children what is not in them because it is the gift operating. Jesus said, “Eat my flesh…”, because He had become that which He wanted to give them. As I give you anointing oil, do not take it like the people of the earth, but as you apply it, see God in it. People came to Paul with aprons to touch, and people were healed because of that. When they took the aprons home, they took them with the mentality that they took God and brought Him home. So as I give you the anointing oil I give you power from above.
[Revelation 2:16], “To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” There is a stone you must attain which is from above. That which is from above makes you a new person. The Father of the earth cannot give you this stone, only the Father from above can. As you call upon the Father from above and seek Him you receive all things. Healing has been given before you were sick, thus you do not ask but you declare healing upon yourself. There is a generation that asks for everything but there is a generation (which is us) that knows the Father.
There are things of God which no one knows except you. With this very same anointing oil you will devour all that which is from the devil. [Jeremiah 33:3], “Call to me…” – not ask, why are you looking for what you know? The book of [Hebrews] says, “Leave elementary things like the laying of hands” The woman with the issue of blood understood this power. There were people touching in the wrong manner, but power never left Jesus, but the woman came and touched and power left.
God says, “I will give you what you do not know.” Do not reject how God answers you! When the blind man came to Jesus, Jesus took saliva and mixed it with mud, but someone with an earthly understanding would have rejected this, many have rejected what God is doing because of the strange things He does in their lives.
Verse (3), “I will show you great and mighty things”, God was not talking about gifts. Therefore, why do you seek what you know? Let God answer you in a unique way. God already knows what you need therefore, let Him answer you with great and mighty things.
