Groaning – A Perfect Prayer
May 19, 2019
Renewed Consciousness [Heart]
June 2, 2019
The Apostle Paul says, “Pray for me that the doors of mysteries may be open”, it is more about longing for the Word, more than the door of mysteries being open. I remember a few weeks back, where the man of God Abraham Unknown was teaching about groanings, and I asked God to teach me how to groan. God taught me that groanings, come when there is pain. Crying silently is also groaning. It is not only making a sound that is considered as a groaning, however, even silence. The moment you keep quiet, you must check how you think because you can keep quiet yet your mind is busy. You can make a sound without God not hearing you because of your mind is too busy.
How many of us groan while our mind is not aligned to the will of God? Making a sound yet thinking of something else, do not you think that your groaning is in vain? The moment you speak in tongues and pray, your mind ought to be shut. Your mind cannot be shut if you are not aligned to the will. There is a difference between reading and meditating. And it is so nice when your mind is on auto-meditation. Even in silence, you are certain that you are not thinking of anything else but God. We must make room for God, and He must come and find a place in us.
Our minds are too busy, and this makes our meditation to remain the same. God cannot be deceived, He knows us better than we know ourselves. If you want someone who knows you, it is God. He knows that you not watching TV for the whole week will be hard, but He wants dedication. We all want to die to ourselves, and always thought that death to self is when you do things that you do not want to do. Isn’t praying for the whole week death to self because flesh does not have volume? We all concentrate on big things. God cannot trust us with big things if He cannot trust us with small things. The very same glory we want from God comes with a cost.
God wants to take everything away that is going to nullify His purpose and His greatness in your life. The moment you have temper, you are not yet trusted with big things. If we want God to trust us with big things then let us start with the little things. All it takes is obedience. Do not put your relationship with God on the line because you are afraid of what people will say. God wants to trust us with so much, His will upon our lives is so great but which eyes are you using to see?
Does failing a subject mean that God has failed you? Does your car application not being successful mean that God is a liar? Which eyes are you using? How do you see the will of God in your life? What God wants to give you is genuine, He wants you to be patient. He is cooking up a storm for every one of you and He is doing something great for every one of us.
Do not be impatient with God. It is the same God yet we all have different purposes. You having a car now may be okay, yet not being in the will of God. For even good things cause a certain distraction in your life, it looks good but it might be death. It looks good to pass your studies but is it life or death? Can He trust you enough? God has given some of us a permanent wound which is always open, a wound that, if you move too quick it pains. Your response to this wound just being groaning. With a thorn in the flesh it pricks you for a moment, but with this wound that is always open – the pain is permanent. You have failed so many times in your life, but when you retry you do it carefully not because of fear but acknowledging that God comes first.
God can cause you to fail in order for you to acknowledge Him, He can wound you so much that you have no one to cry to except Him. Wounding you in order to produce Excellency, and to show you the divine in you. God can teach you how to pray by taking things away from you, He goes to places that no man can touch. He shows you that He can reach out to what is more precious to you – this is the wound that is always open. And just because the master is quiet in the secret room, it does not mean that He has left. Just because the wound is dry it does not mean it is healed. Let us fix our minds to Him. He wants to trust us, He is willing to trust us but let us master the little things.
How many times in a week do you long for God? God wants us to long for Him every day. Do you feel God more when you are at church or home? If God cannot touch you at home the same way He touches you here, then there is an error. Some wait for their favourite songs to play so that they can fall, but you find that God does not want that to happen on that specific day. And your Spirit can deceive you to a point where you think that it is God – your Spirit can even make you fall. Our blessings are in things that we despise. God displays power where it is needed, and you have to receive Him the way He reveals Himself to you.
[Deuteronomy 8:3], “So he humbled you and allowed you to hunger and fed you with manna that you did not know…” God feeds you not to satisfy you – He knows that you will run short of the food and you will not be satisfied. He is providing so that you can long for Him more. We all want to be prosperous and our business deals to go smooth but what is more important is God. The bible says, “Seek first the kingdom of God then everything else shall follow.” Someone said to me, ‘I understand that I am born again and God wants me to do this and that, but it looks like when you are in the world, you become prosperous, but the moment you become born-again you lose everything.” Anything that does not benefit the kingdom of God must go. If it does not go, it causes pride and makes the others to sin.
We all want to live in purpose and in the will of God, but little things matter. When you are silent like this, what are you thinking? We always say that God is a jealous God and He wants you to Himself. How many of us want to let go of what God is doing at that moment because we want to go somewhere the next day? How many of us disobey when God instructs us to do something because we are afraid of what people will say?
Just because God has opened your eyes, it does not mean you must prophesy, sometimes God shows us things to test us. You must become sensitive to the voice of God because God can show you yet want you to keep quiet, or at times, He might show you to address. God wants to trust us with much, but these little things are delaying us. Many of us want to live in the purpose and be aligned, God want to drive us to the purpose but if He does not trust us with the little things He will not trust us with much.
A lot is required for you to acquire something from God. We want a lot but can we take the much that is expected from us? What if for you to get your distinctions it requires you to stay at church 24/7 and you disagree with that – “He who is given much, much is expected.” The little things never look this big.
What you feed your mind in silence is dangerous. How many of us have killed people in our minds quietly? The mind has power to give you image and sound. So imagine if you were to meditate on the Word of God. It is easy for me to say, ‘I saw a blue car and people around me to see it also.’ Can God find rest in your mind? Can He say, ‘I know a mind of peace’ – a mind that knows nothing but the Word?
[Luke 2:13], “Then suddenly there appeared with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host (angelic army) praising God and saying…”These people saw Jesus while He was a baby and they all marvelled. They all had something to say. Verse (19), “But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart”, Mary kept quiet, silence is not foolishness – it does not make you a fool. We all want to make a sound or sing for people to dance, but what if people danced for your silence?
We all want to say something, speaking a lot does not mean you are wise. Knowing that 1+1=2 does not mean you are wise. Wisdom is knowing when to speak and to give the answer of 2. God will trust us with big things but we have to start somewhere. We have to be obedient with what we wear. Mary kept quiet, she saw and was spoken to but still kept quiet and kept everything in her heart because she knew it was not the time for her to speak.
Just because everyone around me is saying something, it does not make it is right for me to speak. God gives you something to test you. It is the instruction that comes after being given that is important as well. At times we become too quick to speak because we want to sound as if we hear God. Yes you hear God but were you obedient when He said, ‘Seal it up, let it remain between me and you.’
The wise men marvelled at Jesus, they were permitted to speak but Mary was not. Just because everyone around you has seen visions and is sharing, it does not make it right for you to share. Disobedience brings delay and this makes God to look like a liar while He is not. Do not move too quickly, this wound is more than the thorn in the flesh because it causes you to groan. The wound is always there to remind you to inquire first. You want God to take away your temper but when He brings someone to step on you, you do not realise that it is Him. As much as we want to find rest in God, let Him also find rest in us. Let him find peace in us.

Message Title: “Be faithful in little things”
With Abraham Unknown
#SonOfProfLesegoDaniel
Whatever God trusts you with; at the end, He should say well done to you. We are all pushing to be great, but the mistake that we do is that we measure greatness with a specific position, but your greatness will be measured by how faithful you are. Most of us want to be trusted with much, but fail to be faithful in the little you have. What is growth? Is it the number of members in the church? Many ministers pray for growth and when God grows them, they want to see a lot of members. As you mature, that not is growth. Growth is not numbers; a church can be full yet you find that there is no growth or maturity within.
Elevation does not come when you elevate yourself but when God takes you there. When God has trusted you with little, you ought to be faithful in that little. Some of you, your visions are suffocating the people around you as you share them. Be careful, because some visions can cause pride in you. There is a thin line in what Joshua shared: telling his family that one day they will bow to him. It is not a sin to share your visions and dreams, but how you say it, and the motive counts. Make sure that you are clean and blameless, because either way, people can be offended, whether you are right or wrong. Most of you want major blessings that cause heaviness in your life.
People should not backslide because of you. Yes, others might leave church, but do not find yourself at fault. For example, your speech can cause a person to leave church too soon – even though they were going to leave. Do not cause offence while you are in the wrong. A commission was given for disciples to go out and minister but the “how” part was not specified. Therefore, do not sprint out before the fixed date of the Father. When Jesus was found in the temple teaching by Joseph and Mary, He did not retaliate from going with them but He obeyed and followed. Some of you would have told them to sit down and listen as you are “doing the Father’s business”.
[1 Samuel 1:12-16], “Now it happened as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli was watching her mouth. Hannah was speaking in her heart (mind); only her lips were moving, and her voice was not heard, so Eli thought she was drunk. Eli said to her, “How long will you make yourself drunk? Get rid of your wine.” But Hannah answered, “No, my lord, I am a woman with a despairing spirit. I have not been drinking wine or any intoxicating drink, but I have poured out my soul before the Lord. Do not regard your maidservant as a wicked and worthless woman, for I have spoken until now out of my great concern and [bitter] provocation.”
When Hannah groaned, this did not make her to be puff up – though she knew about groaning and recognized that Eli as the high priest, he did not know about groanings, instead he thought that she was drunk. Hannah still subjected herself under Eli even though she was entrusted with something that Eli did not know.
The minute your visions and dreams cause you to be puffed up; you should know that they are not from the Lord. No matter how much you can see things or perform miracles, they do not make you higher than your Father. Fatherhood is not measured by the visions and Dreams that you experience, you must know who is the source. Some of you are trusted with major blessings but you find yourself overtaking your spiritual Father. How can your Father “miss it”?
Whatever God has given you, do not find yourself puffed up, but in that, be faithful. A Father cannot pray less for His children but to pray for the Son to grow more, and also does not become jealous or fight against what the Son has been blessed with. This I can testify about my Father [Professor Lesego Daniel].
Gifts can cause you to be puffed up, accuracy and deliverance does not mean that you walk with God. If it was the case, we would be following the donkey that prophesied in the bible. Character is the ultimate, be faithful in those little things. Moreover, do not give people what you go through [the flesh] but stay faithful. Serve God with Excellency not as if you are making someone a favour.
