A PECULIAR GENERATION

[1 Peter 2:9]

We are a peculiar generation and we should remain as such. With that said, may God bless us and give us the heart that will help us to pick up the pieces. The heart that is full of love and be able to pick up the pieces. There are many pieces that need to be picked up. Therefore whenever one of us is broken we need to pick up those pieces and that is the love that we need. Indeed, we are a chosen generation. We are an uncompromising generation.

[Psalms 24:4-6]

We can define an idol in many ways. Often people think that idols are things that we create or bow down to but they are many idols in our households, an idol can be anything and anyone. For instance, our cellphones and homes can become idols. It is not limited to what is created with your bare hands, also an idol can be best described as what you worship. However worship is in different ways and forms, it is not only when you bow down.

With that said an idol is best described as something, you cannot live without. Let us, therefore, become a generation that does not have an idol, a peculiar generation. When they say peculiar it means that you are set apart. You are of the royal priesthood, you should not be the same as others. It is such a privilege and honor to be a child of God, therefore we should live up to that and it should be evident to people around us that we are children of God. In your absence, people need to speak that indeed you are a child of God. We need to come back to our rightful position and become a peculiar generation.

God is looking for the daughters of Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah(see Genesis 19). God is looking for that proud generation, that is fully for Him and lives accordingly. Therefore it does not matter how long the journey, faithfulness, and righteousness are still required. It should be easy for strangers to distinguish that you are a Christian/Believer. Many Christians are challenged and going through tough times the reason being, iron is now mixed with clay.

Christians are camouflaging with the world and becoming one thing. We are living in the days where believers can praise both God and still do ancestral practices. Also, there are preachers who are teaching such that people should not neglect their ancestors. Like the days of Jesus, He only had the 12 disciples who followed Him and they were more than enough to impact the world.
