The Spirit of Truth
January 22, 2019Happy New year! It is such a wonderful year. If the promises of the previous year, have not yet been fulfilled, let it not kill the Spirit and the confessions that you have made. We are forever going to confess that it is a good year! You will receive blessings going in and going out. You will receive everything whether it is marriage, a job etc. It doesn’t matter what happened last year, this year is a new morning filled with love and the Spirit of truth. What the man of God L.A Unknown was sharing last week, it is so powerful and when I was meditating, then God spoke to me about [John 16].
What is the Spirit of truth? God has opened my mind and I got to realise that all these things it’s a place. It is all God, it is just a place within Him, and it is only a matter of you entering that place. [John 16:13], speaks of the Spirit of truth, meaning there is the Spirit and the truth itself. The Spirit is representing the truth. The bible says ‘’The Spirit of truth will guide you into all truth’’, meaning when you do not have the Spirit of truth you are not there yet (A place of all truth). It is not just the truth but all truth, you might be led to truth, but have you been led to all truth?
The truth is a place, and you cannot reach the place without the Spirit. He has to take you by the hand and guide you. Verse (13), “However when He, the Spirit of truth has come, He will guide you into all truth for He will not speak on His own authority”. The Spirit of truth is just a messenger, and the message He carries is not His but it is of the truth. The Spirit of truth hears from the Spirit of all-truth, meaning you will not see in-part but you will see in perfection because it is all truth. This is all in a place which you need to be led and directed into that place; all you need to do is to enter. [John 2:1], “On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee…Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him ‘They have no wine’”, on the third day Jesus and the disciples were at the wedding and the wine got finished and the mother of Jesus went to Him and said, ‘’The wine is finished, then Jesus said to the woman what have I to do with you?’’
He did not say, ‘Woman what have I to do with this situation’, but He directed the question to her. Meaning she was revealing something that was hidden and not ready to be done. How many of us have entered to a place where we push God to ask himself what have I to do with you because you make Him reveal something that is not yet known.
When Mary spoke she believed that something would come out of Jesus; you cannot speak in such confidence if you do not know and believe. Verse (4), “Jesus said unto the woman, what is it to you and me? My hour has not yet come”, there is no excuse for you not to get blessed because when you are in that place you are able to collect your blessings even when it is not time for you to get blessed.
God might plan something based on seasons but you must push God to grant you that which He has prepared for another season. God had to perform a miracle, because all along Jesus had not yet performed in that level. Mary made God to perform and reveal something that was not for that time. The Spirit of truth reveals things to come – there is no limitation. You are not limited to the year or the season. You are not limited to the move of God at that particular time. Mary was in a place when she spoke, and she took it out. But watch the wisdom, verse (5), “His mother said to the servants, whatever he says to you, do it”, she said do not question what he tells you to do. Verse (6), “Jesus said to them fill the water-pots with water…And He said to them ‘Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast’”, Jesus gave them an instruction only; He did not declare or pray for the water, He just said do this and this and take it there.
The water was filled by the servants and was taken to the master to drink. How many of you would do that? So many of us would run and ask God to show us a sign that He is the one who changed the water to wine. He just spoke and the servant did what He told them to do. The reason there were no questions asked, it is because they were servants and not princesses, they were used to carrying out instructions. How many of us can take the instruction from God without asking questions? When the doctor says ‘You have cancer’, how many of you listen to the Spirit when he says ‘You do not have cancer?’ Servants do not question but they just do as they are told. Verse (9), “When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine and did not know where it came from…He said to him, ‘Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine and when the guests have well drunk then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now’’. This means the colour of the wine never changed, there was no human sign that said ‘The water had changed’, especially because Jesus never touched the water to pray for it, but the water was changed into wine and it was best.
This is the power of the beauty of the Word at work. The bible says, ‘’This was the beginning of the miracles that Jesus did which manifested his glory’’, because it was purely the Word. There are times where Jesus spit on the mud and gave out an instruction but this time he just spoke and this revealed his glory (it revealed who God was). God says I have sent my Word to heal their diseases; when it comes to life and death He sends the Word.
God said to Moses, ‘’When my glory passes by I will let you stand upon the rock’’, because there is a place in Him. [Matthew 8:5-7], “…Lord my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented…I will come and restore him…” this was the movement of God at that time for him to go and lay hands. Verse (8a), “The Centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that you should come under my roof”, this is another way of saying my time has not yet come. Verse (8b), “But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed”, what does the centurion man know about Jesus that he does not know about himself?
He knew something, he was in a particular place where he knows about the Messiah. It is easy for Jesus to say ‘’My time has not yet come…’’, but it is up to you to push him to operate in perfection unto you. The centurion man was pushing for Jesus to perform through the Word and not in the flesh. He was pushing Him to perform in His purest form. Verse (9a), “For I also a man under authority having soldiers under me”, when he say I am a man under authority it means he is inside a place called authority and he understands how it works.
The bible says, ‘’Paul we know, Christ we know, but who are you?’’ When you are not in the place, whatever you say will not have substance. It is not about how you call Jesus but it is about what you are under. God has many rooms and places in him (place of peace, authority, truth, righteousness etc.). Verse (9b), “And I say to this one go and he goes, and another come and he comes”, this man understands the language of authority. He does not say please. Verse (10), “When Jesus heard him, he marvelled and said to those who followed ‘Assuredly I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel”, no one has entered that place in Israel.
Verse (11b), “Many shall come from the east and the west and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob”, they shall meet at the place. The centurion man was in the place under authority where he met with Abraham”. Verse (12), “But the sons of the kingdom shall be cast out into the outer darkness”, Verse (13), “Jesus said unto the centurion ‘Go your way and as you have believed, so let it be done for you”, they are not at the place, the Word is not about what you say but about the place you are at when you speak it.
Make sure that when you speak you are found in God at all times. Don’t be a child of God but be a child under God because being a child of God is just an association it doesn’t guarantee covering. Push God to do miracles in your life which have never been done before. Sometimes our knowledge of God limits us and we make excuses.
Even if it is out of time we can still attain it, all that matters is that we are in the truth. The bible says, ‘’Whatever you ask in my name shall I grant you’’, because you are in the name. Anything that is the truth doesn’t need evidence to support it but it stands on its own. When we are found in the truth nothing can accuse us. Even when we are out of time whatever we ask, God shall give us. When it is the season for healing we heal, but those who need deliverance you cannot deliver but when you are in the truth, the truth is that Christ sets us free.
LET HE THAT HAS AN EAR HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING TO THE CHURCH
