August 25, 2019We are often not available to be used by God because we have hung onto our calling, and stuck to what we know. We are only available for what we are talented in and love with. We are not all unto all men, and because of this God cannot use us. God is not looking to use someone who is called into something. Jesus was not called to be a Lamb and God asked whom shall I send and Jesus said send me Lord, meaning that He was available to become all unto all men. Most of us are stuck in what we are called for; that is why when there are no worshipers, those who are not part of the worship team will not come forth to sing. God is not a respecter of man’s position; He is looking for a ready vessel to use.
2 Timothy 2:20-21 In a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver but also of wood and of clay; some are for special purposes and some for common use. It is saying this because everyone who enters in a great house looks for vessels of gold and silver yet there are some wood and clay that are despised.
Verse (21) If anyone cleanses himself from the latter… This is to cleanse yourself from your position and to cleanse yourself from who you are. If you do this, you prepare yourself to become a vessel of honor. The latter is something that comes to an end. Your position is temporary and has an ending, so it means it is not in the Word because the Word remains forever. All things shall pass.
There is a vessel of honor and dishonor but what is important unto God is the person who cleans himself from the latter. When the Word wants to prophesy, it will look for a prophet and when it is not there it will look for anyone who is available. A calling is not forever, that is why some ministries ended when the work was done, but once you are available, God can use you even after the calling. John’s work was limited to baptizing Jesus and after that, it was over hence he went to jail and no one protected Him. God protects His work, not the calling.
We are not available to be used by God because some ministers just want to preach and when God calls them to usher they can’t do it. Some Men of God are only ministers on Sunday; they are limited to the pulpit. Are you available or talented? Where talent is not needed, it becomes useless. If you call yourself a worshipper because you can sing, what happens when you stop singing? Are you still a worshiper? You will not become a worshiper anymore because you were limited by the gift of singing.
2 Chronicles 16:9 The eyes of the Lord run back and forth throughout the earth, to show his strength on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. Some are loyal to their calling and not to God. Many do not have strength because God can’t strengthen them due to their calling. We are chosen to become Sons. God can call you alone, but He chooses us as a nation, which means that when He wants to do something He can use us all; He can stretch His hand using anyone amongst us.
Luke 8:2-3…and certain women who were cured of evil spirits: Mary called Magdalene, Joana the wife of Chuza, the manager of Herod’s household, Susanna and many others who provided for Him… When you look at the women who supplied the ministry of Jesus, you will think that they were Kingdom financers, they were providing assistance but in the end, did she go anoint Jesus in the tomb? Mary was the one who went to go look for Jesus at the graveyard. It was a tradition to anoint a dead body, but we only see Mary from those who were providing for Jesus going to anoint Jesus. Where were the others? They were stuck to only being Kingdom Financers.
Even after the resurrection, she was the first preacher to preach about the resurrection of Jesus. She availed herself, she did not teach because she was a minister. When you are available, God speaks and you do. Jesus said, how long have I been with you and yet you have not done this for me? Mary washed His feet because she was available, the disciples could not do this because they were only called to be ministers, they did not avail themselves.
It’s only children who only say today is not my day of washing dishes, but when you are the owner of the house, you just do it whenever you are available. When you are a Son, you must go with what the Father says, avail yourself and take care of what belongs to Him. Even when there is no singer, say ‘I am available’, when there is no one to pick up papers, say you are available. When there are people who are available, they nullify the work of those who are called. God sees that there is no reason to use those who are called while there are sons who can do all things. Why should I call a prophet who can only prophesy yet cannot teach? I rather have someone who can do it all.
Gifted evangelists can tell you about Christ but they can’t transform you, teachers wait for someone to first fish because they can teach but when you are a son you can do all things. I must become a vessel of honor, and I can only become one by availing myself to do what God wants me to do. Look at Mary Magdalene, she went where the Gospel went, this means that when Jesus taught, she would teach when He ushered, she would usher. However, look at the likes of Susanna and Joana, their ministries died when Jesus died.
Isaiah 6:5-8] (5) Woe to me, I am a man of unclean lips… From chapter 1 to chapter 2, Isaiah prophesied but now he says he has unclean lips, which meant that a gift was ministering all along, and not God. Verse (8) …See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your lips are cleansed… I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send? And I said, here I am. Send me. He prophesied while God was not there, God only appeared in Chapter 6 after He had cleansed him. Gifts are without repentance. God wants sons who will be moved by Him, those who will be convicted by the Holy Spirit.
Many Ministries die when certain people leave because the gift of the minister brought people that were not supposed to be there. When God says you are a prisoner, you must surrender to the chains. He does not put the chains on you, He wants you to take them as He speaks and surrender to them. Isaiah has been prophesying and writing all along but it is only now that God asks whom shall He send and He has availed himself. John 4 My work is to do the will of the Father. Even when there is only one person, I preach because it is the work of the Father. Some people are not what they preach, they are chameleons, when they enter the church premises and step to the podium they are ‘Pastors’ and they become very serious but when they are at home they are normal people. Why can’t they be who they are everywhere?
When you are there for God in little things, He will be there for you in greater things. Be a man of the Spirit, and when it is like this nothing will control you. If you can lose your car, would you come to church with a taxi? You must be normal, do not put a certain standard for yourself. Greater love is nothing other than for one to give himself or herself up for a friend. It is not difficult to die for your friend when you are not holding on to a position. It was easy for Jesus to die for us because He never proclaimed to be God or a King or anything of that sort. Some people are bound by their words, they go around saying that they are pastors and prophets and because of that they are limited to become free, they can’t clean or usher because they have held on to their positions. We set standards, calling ourselves prophets and when God does not speak, we come up with ways to hold on to the standards that we have put. Become a son; be available, as a son and you will do what God wants you to do.
2 Chronicles 16:9 The eyes of the Lord run back and forth to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose hearts are loyal to Him… Be loyal to God and take care of His house, do not make promises that you cannot keep. Be an ordinary person, be everything. It is easy to serve in the House of the Lord when you are a servant. There is nothing far greater than God trusting you with His own heart. He raised you, you did not do it on your own, do not forget Him. Be normal, come to church and go out as nothing but just a humble person. Raise His banner. Serve Him with reverence. Wash those feet. I love serving God.
YESHUA; A CITY ON A HILL, THE LIGHT THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN.
