Battle of Character – Valour Bone

I am one person who is very fond of old hymns; I am one of the people who were born, born-again. When I hear hymns today, it reminds me of my uncle who would worship so much that he would even shed a tear. Someone would agree with me that in those times it was rare or rather not expected for a man to cry; because they were “expected to be all strong” including myself. When I saw my uncle worshiping and showing his love for God, I would sometimes judge and discriminate. This is the mistake that most of us do; we tend to be ignorant of what is happening in now. God reminded me of those days (seeing my uncle serving God) and I realised how much I miss his worship today. Let us not become that generation which God has to remind of what happened five years ago. Let us learn to live in the moment and acknowledge what is happening in now! We fail to appreciate what we currently have until it is gone. I am not always here at Yeshua Ministries but the moment I am here, I feel privileged and favoured to be here I do not take it lightly. I feel very honoured to be standing here in front of you and thank you man of God, for allowing me.

It is a women’s conference right? Women are usually known for their outer beauty. Though they are known for this, they are creatures that are very insecure and habitually feel intimidated. As one grows, you realise that you have been fighting battles unaware. As a woman, there is war within you but if you cannot identify this war, you would not grow as a woman. At some point challenges build our characters, when you realise that you are becoming jealous, do not ignore that feeling but walk towards it and rectify it. Other women struggle with their personalities, you may find that a woman could be one of the quiet people and when she finds herself in the midst of loud people; she may think that something is maybe wrong with her. This is a battle of character. There is a day when I looked in the mirror and I felt like “Ok!” This is what I wanted; I always wanted to feel fine and be fine about myself. Other people are only loud when they are around people, whenever they are all alone then they cannot be happy. Therefore, there are certain phases (challenges) that one need conquer on their own. You need to be able to conquer such battles.

God chose to save the Israelites in order to make Him-self known to them. Going through the scriptures, I realised that God labelled the Israelites or Church as a “She”, and I wondered why. Until yesterday when the man of God (Abraham Unknown) taught about the quietness as a position, it all made sense, and I understood what I was meditating upon. Besides beauty, a woman is known for her virginity and purity. A virgin woman is one woman who was never touched – where there is no seed planted. Since it is the husband that teaches the woman, it means that a virgin woman should have no foreign teaching other than the one from her husband. Therefore we know that God took us out of darkness and brought us into the Light, obviously it means that we had a teacher before, who taught us in the dark. God took us in with our impurities and purified us.

It is Christ who prepares the bride; He cleaned us and now we are pure. Therefore this purity is not of our own but of Christ. God wanted to be the only one who touches Israel and be her Husband. Since purity is when you have not been touched (taught), and God wants a pure nation; what is purity then? We have been touched before? The purity that God wants from us is the willingness to be taught. God wants to teach us so that we become perfected by His Word. Then present us as with virginity, the willingness we possess. Hence God chose the church (She) not a man (Head) so that the woman can be taught by Him and be able to cover the man with God’s glory.

King Solomon speaks of a woman and that woman is called Wisdom. Let us read about this woman. [Proverbs 8:1], “Does not wisdom call, And understanding lift up her voice?” The man of God (Abraham Unknown) taught us that the woman does not speak but the only one who speaks is Christ. Here is a woman crying at the gate (verse 3), “Beside the gates, at the entrance to the city, at the entrance of the doors, she cries out:” She is called wisdom. This wisdom is not of age where now you can only acquire it from experience however this wisdom was there from the beginning. Who was there in the beginning? “In the beginning was the Word and the Word with God and the Word was God.” (John 1:1) This Word was Light unto mankind; this is Christ the Son. Therefore, Wisdom is the Son. Hence, we are a Sons in a skirt.

[Proverbs 9:1], “Wisdom has built her [spacious and sufficient] house;
She has hew out and set up her seven pillars.” It is only the Son who can prepare the table, hence Wisdom builds her house. The way God speaks of Israel and how much love He gives this nation, it is absolutely beautiful. Women can attest to this that it is nice to be pursued and followed around, but we must move to a level where God is chasing us. We must become sons. As this is a Woman of valour conference, valour means courage or bravery. It means that as Christ becomes fully formed in us, we carry valor bones that no one or anything can break.

I faced challenges of my own, where I discovered my valor bone. When facing a battle be careful not to find yourself praying desperate prayers for God to answer. As such prayers are not offered in faith but such prayers come out of a place of fear. Therefore, keep to your confessions and do not change your language. This valor bone that I am talking about is in trusting in God; for those who trust in God are like Mount Zion!
