Christ can only occupy Jesus” – Part 1

We know of Adam and Eve who were placed in the Garden of Eden, created in the image of God. So the knowledge of good and evil was impacted into Eve when she ate from the tree and she carried two seeds; which is the seed of God and of the serpent. Hence, we then see the battle of two seeds, Abel and Cain; then God through Noah tried to take away the seed that was not from Him.

We read that the sons of God and the daughter of men started to be together as a result, the Spirit of God could not rest on man forever (Genesis 6:1-2) – this was the reason why the Spirit came upon them and left and most of them lived their own lives. Hence, the Old Testament does not speak of fruits because no one can produce fruits without the Spirit. For the Spirit needs to rest on you to produce fruits.

Moreover, men could not pass 120 years of age, because the Spirit did not rest on them and their flesh would decay. I spoke of the salvation of the Spirit, soul and body. The first salvation is of the Spirit as a person becomes born again. Then you become in the process to saving your soul then your body. There is no way that your soul cannot be saved without your Spirit being saved and the body cannot be saved without the soul being saved.

Their [men of the old] spirits were not saved but still in bondage. They were born with a temple that could not carry the Spirit of God. There was no temple that could contain God. God would come and touch them, then leave. When God sent Jesus, He was looking for a house to dwell in. Some people renovate houses but some demolish them totally and build new ones. In the days of Noah, it is like God was renovating but could not stay in those houses. So He had to destroy the temple in three days and rebuilt a new house.

We are not celebrating the birth of Christ but of Jesus; Christ could not dwell in Jesus without Him being born because Christ is not born but given; but Jesus is born. Jesus was the only temple to carry God but He was not complete. Hence God had to speak to Joseph not Him. This was not a matter of age but Jesus had to go through baptism so that Christ could dwell in Him. Hence, Jesus wanted to be baptised so that Christ would come and rest in Him.

Anyone who is not born of Jesus cannot carry Christ. We need to be born of Jesus; the body that is broken [of Jesus]. Christ could not be born but given, so Christ cannot die. The only way for Jesus to lay down His life, is to give up Christ. It was impossible for Him to die because Christ cannot die. Unlike the men of the old, anyone could take away their lives because they lacked the Spirit of God.

We were born at the table, where He broke His body giving us a body where Christ can dwell. Hence anyone who does not eat His flesh is not part of Him. There are many Christians who do not have Christ, falling down and seeing visions is not evidence of having Christ. Even though you do not have Christ, you can still see visions and fall down. Look at the men of the old, how powerful they were. God could not dwell in them because of their mind-sets.

What determines the temple of God is the mind; the room of God is the heart and mind. If you are not in the right place, God cannot rest in you. To most Christians, God is a visitor where He comes and leaves. Most get this visitation when they are at church. You must be in the same state at church and at home. You need to be spiritually sensitive at church and at home.

We do not know the God of protection, provision and healing only, but we must be in a relationship with God, we must be intimate and be in the holy of holies with Him. Do not identify the presence of God with what He does for you, because He also does things for those who do not carry Him. Let us talk about the worries of this world: when you worry and think about money, clothes, what you will eat or how you will get healed, you cause God to become a visitor.

In Matthew 6, it says you cannot even add a day in your life when you worry, so you need just a day to enter the rest. Remember we are given six days only one day is needed; because on the seventh day, men does not live for what God has created but what God created lives for man; where things exist for your sake not you existing for their sake. When you worry you cannot add a day.

Your body needs to be taken away and you be given the Body of Christ. Not everyone has the Messiah; for the door to the Messiah is Jesus. Jesus told the disciples that in His Father’s house there are many rooms, that He is going to His Father and if they have seen Him they have seen the Father and that the Father is in Him and Him in the Father.

Remember the Father of Jesus is Christ. There is all truth and truth, Jesus was not all truth. Hence, He said that the Spirit that will come upon and will teach them all things (John 16). Christ can only occupy Jesus. If it is difficult to imitate Jesus do not expect Christ. The only way Christ can be in you, you need to be born from the very same material Jesus was born of. The problem is not the flesh. We have two kinds of the flesh, which is of the body and of the mind. The body is not the problem but the mind which worries causing it to be fleshy.

Don’t you ask yourself that after God has created what was perfect, He created the flesh? He created the first man who did not need the breath of God because he was Spirit; who has the mind of God and in his mind is the Word only. Adam could see His nakedness because his mind was spiritual but the devil impacted another mind. Then God cursed the serpent that he will eat the dust [the body]; but not touch the mind. Hence we are decaying today. In John 1:1, the Word that became flesh is clean and perfect and the Word is the mind of God. The Word became in charge of Jesus that made Him abnormal to others.

God could have created Jesus as He did with Adam but He came through a woman to have the flesh where the Word occupied the body. The angel said to Mary: “you shall conceive” – not that the Spirit shall conceive. So, Mary gave Jesus the body cells but the minute the Spirit came upon Him, it was not normal flesh because the Word was in His mind. Have you heard that you are what you think? When Eve ate, she became knowledge of good and evil. Your body was created to know life; but because of the mind-set without the Word, you know death and sickness. This is what the devil changed in Eve.

Jesus came to change our mind-sets in the same way the devil used to Eve and that is through food. What Adam and Eve ate did not have effect on them but what they heard in eating. Then God restricted them from eating from the Tree of Life because it would not have changed them but they would have remained with the bad mind-set forever. Even today, people eat the Lord’s supper but there is no change. This is because of the mind-set which needs to be changed through a teaching. It is very important that every time when you eat you are getting eternal life. So there was no Word for Adam and Eve to be changed.

So the Spirit needs to rest in us so that we can rest. Is God resting in you? An atmosphere can make you feel at rest, it is not only money and cars. How do you know that it is an atmosphere? When you are at home meeting challenges, you are worried.

Some ask for prayers because they are worried. A person who is at rest says “Thank you” in the midst of everything. Such a person does not need to make their requests known because they know that God knows. Christians are wasting away because of worry. Be a careless person. Do your part and allow God to be your report. God needs to rest in you.

[Isaiah 11:1-3] “There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots”
The Branch ignored the stem that was there because it is contaminated. Jesus did not come out from other people because they were contaminated. The stem of Jesse is the place where Jesus had to come out from, but a Rod came out. So the tree had to be cut off, and used to correct them.

A rod is used for correction and direction. So how do we know that we should not get offended? Through Moses because we saw it in him and was not pleasing to God; the rod is with Jesus, hence the scepter shall not depart from Judah until Shiloh comes. The birth of Jesus was the cutting of the tree. It did not start in John 15, where there are two trees, one to be cut and thrown and the other to be pruned as it bears fruits. You cannot be connected to the vine and not bear fruits.

The Samaritan woman drew water all along but when Jesus came, He caused it to dry up as He introduced the better water. The Law was good for a time, but Jesus fulfilled it by drying it up. There are two things that made the Law to be of no effect, sin and Jesus at the cross. Jesus had to deal with the tree. The stem was contaminated not the root. So out of the root, the branch sprouted out.

Verse 10, Jesus was out of the root but then became the root as a banner and a sign. So we can be the branches from Him. Jesus was only called the Son of God, Son of Abraham and the Son of David; but what about the others? These were the only clean roots. Others were weights, hence they needed to be laid aside. Even Moses and Elijah were weights as Peter wanted to focus on them other than Jesus.

[Hebrews 12:1]
The clouds of witnesses are the weight we should not look upon because the Spirit was not resting in them. They were the well of Jacob, from the dust. They drank water with dust but there is water from above that has no weight. The Spirit of the Lord was hovering on the water, and He separated the waters. The water from above is the Spirit. There is a firmament that separates normal water and water from above. We read of the water that sprang from below becomes there was no rain. Perfection is not the Spirit coming down but it is us going up. Rest is above; there is a firmament that is above heaven. There are many firmaments but there is one that is above heaven and earth. So God cannot be contained by heaven and earth.

The day Jesus resurrected, there was eviction where people had to leave heaven and the bosom of Abraham to perfection. The tombs opened up and they walked in the City – which is above heaven and earth. You can still be in heaven without rest; they could not reach perfection without us. You need to be above the firmament but you need Jesus to get there. The first entrance gets you to the bedroom. It is Jesus who will lead you to Christ and Christ to the Father.

You need to be in Christ as He is in you. Favour will not work for you when you worry. Enter the year 2020 with Thanksgiving.
