SUFFERINGS OF CHRIST

LET THE WORD SUSTAIN YOU IN TRIALS
August 25, 2022[Philippians 2:10-15]
In the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow, of those in heaven and on earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Therefore as you have always obeyed, now how much more in My absence. Work out your own salvation. It is important for every individual to work out their own salvation, with fear and trembling. For it is not your own strength but it is God who works in you, (Verse 13) both to do His Will and to work. Meaning the desire for you to work for the Lord is not entirely your own but God working through you. Henceforth one cannot work out their salvation without God doing the work. Many want to work out their own salvation but without the works.
In our serving it is God working in us, working out our salvation is not based on one’s wisdom. The anointing and presence that has been given to us is what will cause one to stay in the fire and den of lions and no one is permitted to take themselves out. We often lose our identity when we are relaxed, the den of lions is there to remind us of who we are in Christ. Therefore do not move yourself where you have been placed. Also do not find yourself complaining even when you have to wait longer.
Often we mix our own pleasure with serving God, one must do away with their own pleasure. We cannot serve God fully with our own pleasure, what needs to lead us is the Word of God and not what pleases us. The Word of God can be what you deem it to be because of your own pleasure and not what the Word is true.
(Verse 14) Do all things without complaining and disputing, so you can become blameless. It is difficult for one to work out their own salvation with complaints, once serving is mixed with pleasure, complaints will arise.
The Bible instructs us to do away with everything that hinders us and the sin that so easily entangles us (See Hebrews 12). Often people focus on God and their own business, hence many get tired of serving.
Complaints can erase your work, complaints, and disputes are what make one blameful. One cannot be led with their own will, therefore we need to surrender our own will to the Word of God, by so doing we won’t see in part but perfection. The only way to shine as a light in the world is not to have disputes and complaints.
[1 Corinthians 13:10 -13]
When what is perfect comes, that which is in part will be done away. Often seeing in part does not mean what is perfect has not yet come. What is in part is usually perfection, hence Jesus said He, has not come to destroy the law and the prophets, but He came to complete them (See Matthew 5:17).
A child speaks as a child, and so is their understanding is of a child. However, when now one is old, it is still the same person, same mind and thoughts yet they have now matured.
Working out your salvation with fear and trembling, just accept and take the Word of God as it is complete and not in part. Receive the Word of God in its fullness, one can only receive the eternal strength from above and God working in them by receiving His Word in full. Often people are sensitive to their troubles and circumstances but not sensitive to the Word of God.
[John 11:24-27]
Martha answered, “I know that he will rise again, on the resurrection day” Martha knew of resurrection and not eternal life, and the resurrection she knew of was of the last day. She knew that Larazus will rise again, Jesus had to bring to her attention that He is the resurrection and the life, this is perfection.
People who walked with Jesus had different perspectives of Him others believed in Him for resurrection and others believed in Him for everlasting life. He said to them that He is both the resurrection and Life(Perfection). We can all believe in one thing but yet others happen to see in part and others in perfection, but one thing for sure we cannot be selective is when it comes to the Word of God.
We are stuck on seeing in part because that is our comfort zone, we continuously want what we know. Receive the Word in fullness the completeness of God, this is perfection.
Often too much waiting tends to make one aware of their surroundings, but continue looking unto Christ because Salvation is not predictable. Only seeing the fire and focusing on the fire is seeing in part, even focusing on the fourth Man. Yet one must know the Will of the fourth Man, and follow Him and not only see Him as a Saviour. We ought to receive His Will and His pleasure not our own. One’s pleasure prevents one from seeing and living in the Will of God.
[Psalms 119:35]
Make me walk in the path of your commands because we delight in it, one should not pray when they see that they are not walking in the path but must pray when they no longer delight in the path. The minute one cannot hear nor love the Word that is when one must start praying, never get in a state where you do not see nor hear God, and yet you deem it normal. It is often difficult to get back to the path but it is not impossible. We ought to delight in His Word alone and nothing else because such a thing is an enemy of the Word.
Our pleasure should only be for the Word of God. Our mandate should be to please God and no one else, dwelling in the Word and praying is what pleases God, by doing so we are working out our own salvation. Allow God to be the one doing His works within you. One’s pleasures of life can blind them not to see what is before them, however, when one falls one must retrace their steps and get back up. Hence Jesus advised us to cut off anything that leads to sin.
