‘DO NOT GRIEVE GOD – REPENT!’ Part 1

[John 4:7-18]

Jacob gave them water but it did not have what sustained and kept it there. (Verse 12), they drank from it themselves, even his sons and livestock drank from this well. (Verse 13), this water is Spirit. In John 14, He says I will not leave you alone; but I will send the Promise.

The Promise was to be sent, even though there were people who had the Spirit before. In the Old Testament, they had the Holy Ghost, but when Jesus came He introduced the Holy Spirit. The Spirit they had and the one we have now is the same, but it doesn’t manifest the same way.

Can the Holy Spirit dwell in an animal? No. When the donkey spoke, it was the Holy Ghost that spoke through it. The Holy Ghost and Holy Spirit are one, but the way He manifested in the Old Testament is not the same as in the New Testament. In the Old Testament animals also partook, but in the New Testament, He is the Holy Spirit because He is all about a relationship – a new covenant.

The Spirit couldn’t dwell in them permanently because they lacked something. Even now in 2021, there are people who still experience the Holy Ghost, they go to church, speak in tongues and they can feel the touch of the Holy Ghost.

If you have the Spirit that touches you, know that it is the Holy Ghost. When He lives in you, He is the Holy Spirit. Having the Holy Ghost today is taboo, meaning we don’t know this person. When we use the word “ghost” it means we do not know Him. They saw the Spirit that touched them but never had a relationship with them.

The Holy Spirit is a relationship, whereas the Holy Ghost is a touch. The Holy Spirit can never dwell where there is no truth, but the Holy Ghost can touch where there is no truth. The Holy Ghost uses while the Holy Spirit works within you. Hence, He says I will send the Helper who will work with you. We are not in the days of the Holy Ghost but we are in the days of the Holy Spirit.

[Genesis 6:6-14]

“And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart”.

God can grieve because of you, and usually, the grievance is experienced when you have lost someone. Imagine God regretting making man. You can do many things, you can blow all your money and do crazy things, but there is one thing that makes God regret making man.

While we were resting God began to speak to me and said many people behave like animals. When we hunt animals we put food at a certain place near water and hide. When the animals come to eat and drink, we aim at one animal, and when it is shot the other animals run and watch as the other animal dies. This, however, doesn’t stop the animals from coming back again even though they saw what happened to the other animal that was shot.

With this God began to speak more, and said that since animals do not have a soul, their desire for food is so intense that it causes them to go back and eat where the other animal died at. God likens human beings to animals; that even though they know that this thing leads to sin and hell, they will continue doing it. They are behaving like people without souls. With animals, there is nothing to lose, but with human beings, it is different because they might lose their souls.

Animals can do whatever they want because they do not have a soul. There are people who live in the world to prove to us that the world will not torment them, without knowing that they have something more to lose. The Bible says what is the use of gaining everything and lose your soul? Sometimes the one whose flesh is tormented is better because their soul will be saved.

(Verse 3), the Spirit of God shall not dwell with man forever. You will not be the dwelling of the Holy Spirit. They wrote the Bible under the unction of the Holy Ghost, meaning He would come and leave.

They lacked something that God gave to us. Since man became sinful, his body will be corrupt. When a person dies their soul doesn’t die, but it lives forever but it matters where it is going to live. (Verse 4), these giants are demons. God can never call an angel His son, so He was speaking to His sons. These people were believers who went and communed with unbelievers.

This is a marriage of a believer with an unbeliever. Those who are already married to an unbeliever God will grace you, but when you decide to get married to an unbeliever now, there is no scripture to cover you.

God doesn’t want born-again people to marry unbelievers. The one who is in the light and starts having a relationship with darkness does not have anything to lean on. (Verse 5), the man started to be evil and nothing that came from him was righteous, it was all evil. (Verse 6), imagine God starting to regret making you.

The minute you have a relation with darkness there is a grievance. (Verse 7), God ranks human beings the same as animals. The Bible says creation has been waiting for the true manifestation of sons. The manifestation that creation is waiting for is not power.

For as long as man continues sinning creation continues to be in bondage, but when a man changes his ways and starts living for God, creation becomes free. Righteousness is the core message of the Bible. (Verse 8), 2020 was The Year of Favor. Favor is righteousness, and many limited it to money and riches. Yet the great favor that we had was of righteousness. Noah found favor in the Lord, hence he was not destroyed together with his family.

All that God wants is repentance. The solution for sickness, the pandemic, is repentance because God is tired and He doesn’t want sin. (Verse 14), make an ark for yourself. The year 2020 was the year of favor meaning we have found favor in the Lord because there was too much evil around. God destroyed people because of the sin and grievance that was there. People lack what we have because the Holy Ghost only comes upon them and leave. You need to have a relationship with the Holy Spirit. Hence, it says my Spirit shall not remain with man forever, because man has become sinful.

Someone might say that I am preaching like this because I do not have mistakes. I do have mistakes but they are not done intentionally. When the Holy Spirit has made it clear that there is a hole, there I do not go and enter. A mistake is not when you sin intentionally. Intentionally is when you do something knowing the truth. Mistakes will always be there. When we do things un-intentionally, that is when God will grace us. When it is a mistake we know that God will grace us.
