FAITH AND HOPE

[Hebrews 11:1]

Faith is the evidence and assurance of things we hope for. Hope and faith go together. We teach about faith and that it can never be in the future, that it is in the present. By faith, the manifestation happens now. Hope is future faith. You cannot hope for what is here. Faith matures hope. You cannot have faith without hope. So, you no longer live in hope but in faith. Living in faith does not mean you must neglect hope. When faith seems to be failing, you must fall onto hope.

When you have hope you believe that God will heal you, though it might seem as though you are postponing your miracle. When your faith is not mature enough to deal with the situation, hope must be able to deal with it.

Faith is like lungs and hope is like the ventilator (which helps you to breathe, when your lungs fail). Faith is the assurance and proof of things we hope for. We were hoping and faith brought them. Faith is your eyesight. When there is manifestation, hope ceases. You cannot hope for what you do not see.

Faith is not the evidence that is physical but it is in the Spirit. When you have faith it does not mean you will literally see. Believing is more than faith. Faith has not yet manifested but it forces your future hope of something to manifest now. If you do not see in spirit you will not move in the physical. You must first have hope that you will be healed. When faith kicks in, you are healed. Faith comes by hearing. So, you see what you have heard.

They saw beyond Jesus, they did not see flesh. Before they could express they see through (see 1 John 1). They have gazed and touched the Word and it walked among them. Many churches have lost faith. There is where your faith gets challenged. Hope is exercised without the existence of a problem. While faith responds to your problems. Most Christians have faith when things are not well.

You have never been challenged but you have hope. When you are challenged you press on because you need healing. When we do not have faith we must have hope. It becomes a problem when your faith dies as well as your hope. When their faith is not matured to carry them through immortality their hope must kick in. When we say we will be immortal it is hope. When you say you are immortal it is faith because you are maturing your faith.

Hope is the caterpillar and faith is the butterfly. When hope matures it produces faith yet they all come by the Word of God. You can never have faith without the promises of God. When I say I will give you R100, you do not believe but you have hope. You know that I will give you. Faith is taking what was a promise and making it your current reality. Faith is when the Spirit meets the flesh. Faith is the bridge between the spiritual realm and the physical realm.

Faith makes you see in the Spirit. Hope is not that it is there but you know you will get it. Your first option should be prayer and not science. The Church has suffered so much that it no longer has faith. People who lacked faith are not the ones who lacked faith before. We mix a wish and faith. When God says He will give you your desires it is not faith. What you desire is not faith. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God.

For instance, one can be sick and falls down. Now I stand because I have read in the bible that by the stripes and wounds of Jesus we were healed. I believe that God is a healer and as I lay hands, they shall be healed. I am exercising the promise I have been given. Now I go and pray for her and she does not get healed, doubt creeps in, that she does not get healed.

The Bible is not lying and one should understand the times we are living in.

Jesus was tempted by the Devil and He said to Him that He must turn these stones into bread. Now Jesus answered and said, ‘man shall not live on bread alone but by the words that proceed from the mouth of God’. — Man shall not live by scripture only but God will speak directly to them. There were times when God would speak to men directly even though He was not dwelling within them.

The Spirit just comes and goes. God wanted intimacy with men. God sends His son and He is speaking through the scriptures. Yet He says that is not His voice but was His voice. What was His voice must teach you His voice. You cannot know my voice without knowing the voice that ‘was’ [bread, scriptures]. I want you to live in the days of the Will of the Father.

The Will of God can be opposite to what is written in the scripture. Though it is not against but it is the opposite. For example, I can be sick and it is in God’s Will for me to be sick. Yet the scripture says I am healed by His stripes. We must not treat God like a microwave, that when we say we need healing and it happens instantly. God goes by the Will. He has His ways. He can take you through something so you can learn.

You are not going to be living like in the days of those great men and women of God of old, that when they declare healing, it happens instantly. God allows things to happen so you can learn to have a relationship with Him so that you can understand His Will.

When you know God’s Will, you do not just go and heal everyone. Many if they had the power to raise the dead they would have gone into the graveyard and raised everyone and not just Lazarus only. Yet the Will was not for all to be raised.

Jesus said that Lazarus was asleep and not dead because there was a Will upon him and not the others. People go and become disappointed by how God works because they do not know that there is a Will above scriptures and promises. The Will is above what we desire. There were people that God answered even when it was against God’s Will. Just like the Israelites, they were complaining and they experienced miracles that were against God’s Will. God had to carry them like babies.

They were not mature. God wants us to live in the Will than what we desire. Many take advantage and do not use faith. They look at what they want and they align it to the Word of God in order to pray. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God and not what you desire.

What is the source of your faith? God does not respond to anything apart from His Word. We have tried to heal without being led. God is not silent that we need to read the bible because He is not speaking.

When we read the bible we get His promises. From the promises, something has to mature so you can get faith. The bible is full of promises. When you know the promises that God has for you, you start to have hope. How does hope mature into faith? We need to mature these promises to faith. From promises, God must speak. Man shall not live by bread alone but by the word that proceeds from the mouth of God. So bread plus the Word of God, all amounts to miracles.

The bread is the promise, and the Word that proceeds from His mouth is Him speaking. When the Father speaks, it produces a miracle.

[Matthew 4: 4]

You cannot stand with promises and scriptures and expect to survive. Every word that proceeds is in the present and not in the future. Men will live with the bread and the Word that proceeds. The scriptures can be read but God must speak. Many have taken the bread alone and awaited results without faith. Faith alone can never survive, but it needs hope. It is not faith when you just read but God must speak. Faith fails because it is not only scripture that produces faith, but you need to hear from God [Word]. A testimony of two or three is valid.

The bread is the first testimony and the second, is the word that proceeds from His mouth. Many, their faith has died because they have interpreted faith as scriptures. Some have interpreted their desire as faith. It is very difficult when you do not know the voice of God.

It is important to grow in the Word of God, otherwise, you will think that your desire is what God is saying.

When the Word meets desire, it can produce deception. Now, what happens if you desire a car so much that you meditate about it, and the Word says that whatever you ask you shall receive. The Word meets desire; now you dream about the car and you think that it is from God — Deception creeps in just like that.

If you are not careful that the Word gets mixed up with your desire, it will bring forth deception. It is not deception when it does not come wrapped up in a beautiful thing. Most of the things, you dream thinking they are from God, they were influenced by desire and not the Word of God. How many Christians have moved with deception? This is the reason they are no longer here.

Do not allow your desire to replace the voice of God in your life. Faith does not fail. Disaster does not manifest instantly. Paul will never raise his hands when marriage is declared because he knows that it is God’s will for him not to get married. How do you receive still waters while you are in the valley?

[Psalms 23: 4]

What must sustain you in the valley is not the still waters you are going to, but the ones that are with you. The light at the end of the tunnel does not keep you in the tunnel. Yet the one you are with sustains you. There is a time when God takes you through sickness and the solution is not healing but the one you are with. What you desire can never keep you in the valley.

You can be motivated as you are in the valley but there is where motivation ceases and what remains is what you are with. Not all things that we can do is what we want. When it says ‘you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you’; it does not mean whenever you are sick you will be healed. You can do all things yet God says that you can go through that but you are still with me.

When will this relationship mature? Where it is not about what He does for us that matters. The Church has lost many Christians because the relationship was all about receiving. People are looking for life and not eternal life, hence when some die they leave salvation.

The problem is that the answer you want is your desire and not what God has spoken. Before you can say or think that God has failed you, did you hear Him say that? Or is it that you just believed in the scripture without the word that proceeds from the mouth of God? Your hope has not matured because faith comes from hearing the Word of God.

Christian hope is the confidence that something will come to pass because God has promised. Hope is bread, and faith is the Word that proceeds from His mouth. Yet they go together. Jesus entered the graveyard with a mandate to raise one person and not everyone. The Will was with Lazarus. The death of Lazarus was for God’s glory. Never try to heal or deliver where the glory of God will not be revealed. Ability is not the Will.

When ten people were healed from leprosy, what brought the other ones back? God did not care for the eight. The other ones were made whole.

[1 Peter 1: 3 & 13-14]

We have been born again into a living hope. Our salvation is full of promises. As I say that April is a month of promises. God’s promises will manifest. When He speaks things happen. When things do not happen and it seems like faith is failing, hope needs to kick in. Never override the promises of God because your faith did not manifest.

That is why religious churches no longer preach about resurrection because their faith has died along with hope. When there is no hope and faith then do not be in that presence.

(Verse 13) You must rest your hope completely on the grace that should be received. There is grace that is coming, therefore have hope. There is grace that is coming to us through the revelation of Jesus Christ. What abounds grace is the Word that you receive. It is not just the Word you read or hear only, but also the revelation of it. It is important to know the revelation of what you ate. This happened so the glory may be revealed. The revelation of the command was the glory being revealed.  

(Verse 14) Anything that is not in the Will of God is evil. Evil reigns in any person who is not born again. The minute you desire what the world desire you must be careful of that. Desire can lead while it is not God. Test what you want (your desires). There is the Will above what you desire.

[Romans 15: 13]

Where there is hope, there are promises of God. If we cannot hear Him, let us live with His promises until He speaks. When I say we must not live on scriptures only, I am not saying that these scriptures are not from God. The Word of God is from God but we shall not live by it alone.

[Romans 8: 24]

Hope that is seen is not hope, though we were saved in it. There is no need for hope if it can manifest. We need to still have hope and faith. While we see people dying we need to have hope that immortality still works.

[Romans 5: 5]

Hope does not disappoint because of the love of God. You find that you have concluded that this thing has failed without checking the things you use to measure. God is not measuring the failure of faith by how it will manifest. If I have hope that the sick will be healed and they do not get healed, hope does not disappoint because of the love of God.

Fulfillment of what we hope for is not proof that hope is alive.

When you have the love of God, you still remain even what you hoped for does not come to pass. Do not be in God because of what He promised you but the relationship should be based on love. God was teaching me to say that love is unconditional. Most do not have love because it comes with conditions. People expect to love where they have placed conditions.

Love can never reign where there are conditions. Seeking your type is a condition that is against love. People miss love and seek their types. You cannot say you love someone because they have done something. Love looks like foolishness. We need to be open to love what God loves.

People you think you can’t stay with are the very same people God says you should be with. Your preference must not be above the Will of God. Where God guides you, allow Him to teach you.

Let it be the love of God that works and not the fulfillment of what we hope for. Love is the proof of that existing hope.

[Romans 8: 32]

Not sparing His Son is proof that He will not deny you. Jesus walking here on earth is proof that God will not deny us anything. There will be a time where He will give us all things. He will grant us all we ask for. Since He did not spare His son, how much more of the things we need.

[Isaiah 40: 8]

Things may happen but the Word of God will stand forever. God will not deny us anything. Whatever you ask, He will give you. Knock and the door will be opened. Seek and you will find.
