(Romans 10:17)
“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
It is important to obey, why is this verse talking about obedience? Isaiah says “who has believed our message?” In this verse, the writer made it clear that faith goes with obedience. Faith is a gift but obedience is not a gift. Some are born with the gift of faith, some attain it and some become anointed in it. However here he is talking about this other faith, he says faith comes by hearing, how does it come by hearing if he was born with it?
Hence I say even witchdoctors have faith because they believe in the unseen. Gifts are without repentance. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. As a Christian no matter how much faith you have you are not meant to lead God. Some exercise their faith to lead God, they try to lead God with their faith and want God to be where He is not. They do what God never instructed them to do.
Faith of a gift can amaze people but you find that in God it is worthless because He doesn’t find Himself in there. There is boldness that Christians mix with faith which results in foolishness. Christians like to test God where He never said you should test Him. They test Him in many things but not in tithe. Many exercised extreme faith but God didn’t back them up.
What took them away was the gift of faith and not God. A gift can exercise and open doors for you. God can never fight for you where He never instructed you to be. You can enter a room that God never told you to enter and you say “I am not afraid because I am with God” this is what many Christians do. In you not hearing do not end up losing the fear of the Lord. When one has the fear of the Lord they have obedience. Faith and obedience go hand in hand.
A gift can operate without the Spirit, it always operates without wisdom but when the Spirit of the Lord is there, there is wisdom. Faith comes by hearing, before you do something ask yourself if you heard the Word and what is it saying. Your faith might lead you astray from the Word. One needs to be aware that faith can move mountains but did God say you should move the mountain? It’s not always the case where faith moves the mountain.
Faith will make you choose one deed of God and apply it in everything you do. In religion, there is faith, who are we to bind God with faith? When God says “do not eat this” would you quote Mark 16 to Him?
Some entered marriages with faith but it was the gift of faith and not the Spirit. Faith that is a gift can never be backed up by God. He backs up His own. Jesus raised Lazarus because that is where the glory was. They said Lazarus is dead and He said he is asleep and all this is for the glory of God.
You can cast out a demon without glory because you did not hear. When we pray we withdraw from what God has deposited. When there is no ear to hear there is no mouth to pray. When there is no ear to hear there is no hand to minister. Is there glory in that resurrection?
Some might say “why don’t you go to hospitals and pray for the sick” but did God say you should go there? When it is by the Spirit or instruction you know that you are safe. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. Someone might be praying for churches to open, but did you hear God say that churches should open? People will open churches as if they can heal, you have opened the church but Covid numbers are still going up. You say you are the solution but we do not see people flocking in your church. God cannot perform where He is not. Covid needs the Spirit.
Might and power will make you operate in a gift. I am here to tell you to move by faith because you have heard me. Lastly, I want you to be aware of something, every time you hear the Word of God do not allow it to become knowledge because it will become experience, and that’s when you will see it puffing you up. When the Word has become knowledge, it becomes a method.
For example, when you want a job you fast, this is knowledge. Being puffed up you will move without hearing God speak. People try to figure out what kind of Word they should speak to twist God’s heart. The Gospel is not about methods, hence we can pray for you from here but this can also be religion whilst God wants me to lay hands.
