The strength of God & Gifts of The Immature
September 5, 2019What do we receive from you when you are opened up while you experience bitterness? What is it that you give out? Many of us give out our personal experiences; we give out what we have been through, how our experiences were, and what we felt in the moment. We do not give out what was given out because the very same bitterness has sweetness inside. We contaminate what was given and that cause us to fail in giving what is sweet. Have you noticed that people who have received sweetness (prophesies), never lasted because it was all sunshine at first? When bitterness comes, they shake it off. We need to receive the Gospel as raw as it is. Jesus knew from onset that He is going to suffer and die, it was never sugar coated. All His experiences were training unto Him, they never contaminated what He carried, hence when He was opened up, and He gave out what was sweet.
Remember that the Gospel is enclosed when it is given to you as time goes on, which has to be opened up through pain. It can only be accessed through pain, especially to ministers. Sadly, many become contaminated by offence. Offence is the number one killer of your calling because it targets the heart because out of your heart the mouth speaks. The minute you are beaten, what do you produce? Your experience, situation, or what is from above? The bible says that deep calls unto deep.
Proverbs 18:4 The words of a man’s mouth are like deep waters [copious and difficult to fathom]; The fountain of [mature, godly] wisdom is like a bubbling stream [sparkling, fresh, pure, and life-giving]. When Jesus got to Peter who was frustrated, He took Peter to His depth (Word). Peter said …at your Word (deep), I will enter and partake as he has tried everything to catch the fish. Peter gave up to his own strength and let God be. The deepness of the mouth produces the testimony of the heart. What you speak is what your heart is. I am not referring to your verbal speech but I also refer to what you think. You need to produce sweetness through the mouth. How do we know that you are spiritually grown? Selah. It is so easy to get offended, especially when you are a minister and a servant. Hence, God said that you need to guard your heart because if not, then you will fail to produce sweetness (see Proverbs 24:3). With all the strength that you have, you need to keep your heart pure. If your heart is contaminated, your lips will be contaminated and you will be disqualified.
As God gives us the bitterness of the Gospel, make sure that you do not fall off. Make sure that what you receive does not kill you. We receive conviction from the Gospel, so as you receive bitterness (The growth from the Lord), ensure that your heart is safe at all times. Many get offended that they did not even receive a promotion, offense is not only limited to how people treat you bad. Your disappointment may turn into offence, God can offend you where you believed Him for a job today and it does not come then you stop praying and trying. Guard your heart at all times! What you have received was received in bitterness. Do you know that God corrects us more than compliments us? God is not in a business of brushing us.
