Message Title: Jesus, the interpretation of Christ

[Hebrews 10:23], “Let us holdfast and confess our hope’’. The Father has promised us the Son. You can’t hope for something you already have but you hope for something that is not there. When you have Jesus you still confess Christ, until he is fully formed in you. Jesus is the Hope of glory, therefore you can’t go to glory without receiving Christ. Jesus is the door and the way to Christ. Christ is the promise of the Father, and when He comes He comes with glory, He can’t come alone. There is no way you can walk in Christ and lack glory. [Hebrews 11:1], “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”, we hope for Christ because He is invisible.
Christ is unseen, but Jesus is evident and tangible. Those who lived in His days will tell you that they saw Him, if there were cameras in those days, they would have captured photos of Him. Faith is not an evidence of things that are not real but it is the conviction of things that are real – see verse (3). A person has five senses and Christ can’t be seen or experienced using those very senses. Only the Spirit can interpret the Spirit.
Jesus became the interpretation of Christ while He was still human. He is the only human who can reveal Christ. The bible says, ‘’He is the author and the perfector of our faith’’ – Hebrews 12:2. He is the one who began and finished faith, hence it says all those men (heroes of faith) who worked by faith it was the light manifesting in their lives – Jesus working in them. God said let there be light, but which light is this because He himself is light? He was light even before the existence of man – this light came to assist men. There was light that people couldn’t recognise or se,e, which is Christ hence He had to bring himself to existence through the LordJesus.
Faith brings the reality of God. Jesus came to prove the existence of God. People wouldn’t know that God exists without Jesus. The scroll spoke about God but it still couldn’t prove the existence of God. So when Jesus came, He proved the existence of God – we see this by His saying the works I do speak about the father – testifying and proving that there is God and that the spiritual realm is real. We cannot live in the spiritual realm and everything remains normal.
A human being is divided into three, which is the soul body and spirit, the same applies to Jesus but without Christ. Christ is not part of the three, He is not the spirit of Jesus. If it was so, Jesus would have been dead until the day of his baptism. Christ came upon Jesus when He was baptised. Jesus was one hundred percent human like us and the fullness the God head dwelt in him.
[Jeremiah 1:5], ‘’I knew you before you were formed in your mother’s womb’’, so who did God know before he was formed? God knew the spirit of Jeremiah, which was all along there. The spirit of a person doesn’t grow, only the flesh grows. The very same spirit a new born baby has is the same spirit he will have when he is old. The spirit of Jesus was always there. [Colossians 1:26], the mystery that was hidden was Christ; He was made known by Jesus.
Since faith is an evidence of things unseen, what happens when you take the evidence away? There are people who still operate in faith, and it is taking them somewhere. If you allow Jesus to take you to where He wants to take you, you will see greater things (Christ). The disciples were satisfied with Jesus, they didn’t realise that He was trying to take them to Christ. They were fine with faith.
Don’t go around calling Jesus man while you are still battling for Christ to be fully formed in you. You need to reach a point where you know Christ. You can’t expect things to move physically while you don’t understand the invisible.[Galatians 4:19],’’My children, for whom I am in pains of childbirth …’’- Paul addresses the Galatians as little children instead of Sons, this is because they do not grow to experience the glory, instead He keeps going back and forth suffering birth pains. Christ was not formed in them because He was temporarily within them. The way you live your life can show that you do not have Christ formed in you.
We have people who Christ gets temporarily formed in them when they are at church and the moment they leave church, Christ leaves. Such people are likened to a phone that works only on the charger, when you remove the charger (Christ) the battery dies. Speaking in tongues is an evidence of having the Holy Spirit; it is not the evidence of fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Fellowship is when you walk together with the Holy Spirit.
We have read that faith is the evidence of things unseen, and have learned that Jesus is the evidence of Christ. What are you an evidence of? What are you proving? Are you proving demons or God? Are you proving Christ? Can we see Christ in you?
Everything you say and do proves something, it is an evidence of something. People do not realise that when they speak to other people they prove who they are. Every time you open your mouth you are testifying. What you just did or said few hours ago, does it prove you to be a Christian? It is time for introspection. [Romans 8:18], ‘’I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us, the glory will not be revealed when Jesus comes back but we need to see Christ in you fully formed.
[1 Peter 5:10], ‘’And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast’’. God is calling us to eternal glory and He will perfect, strengthen and establish us when Christ is fully formed in us. It’s better for Christ to be revived in you than for Him to be taken away from you and you have to begin at the bottom with primary sufferings. It’s better to have a revival of Christ in you, than having to be birthed anew again. Don’t lose Christ because of how you live, allow Christ to be fully formed in you.
Let us confess Christ because God has called us to this glory. Many people are losing Christ because they don’t agree with him, when God says this, they chose to say something else. It’s not that God is quiet but that people are not listening. Every day of your life God is saying something, but are you obedient enough? With most of you, God is quiet because you never listened from the beginning. Fix it by listening – have an ear for small things, listen to the Holy Spirit. Let there be a revival in you.
YESHUA; A CITY ON A HILL, THE LIGHT THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN
