Vision/Purpose is Above You
August 5, 2019
Do you (genuinely) believe
August 8, 2019When God speaks He speaks less (dramatically) than the way we preach as ministers. He speaks through thoughts, which are calm and do not even have a sound. When you have now read the Word of God and it is in you, it is easy to miss what He is saying to you because He does not shout nor jump the way we do.
Know your purpose and vision. My purpose and vision is Christ, the problem is that people have given themselves other purposes and visions apart from Him. People have a vison of owning a Church and not walking with God. Resolve to know nothing except Christ, let your vision be Christ. Purpose is what you intend to be, it is the reason for your existence. We must desire to see ourselves having His mind and being who He is. The vision must be Christ; the way to our purpose is to see ourselves in Him.
Someone must write the vision and the other who reads must run with it. A vision is for an appointed time. Christ wouldn’t have come at any other time because there was an appointed time for Jesus. Paul ran the race by focusing on Christ. The vision is not the book but Christ. The prophets of the old prophesied about Him and the vision about Him remained and came to pass.
People lack the knowledge of Christ but that does not mean that their heads are empty and are without any other knowledge. Keep quiet woman and let the vision speak. Let the one who observes keep quiet and the one on the cross speak. [Luke 7:35], “Wisdom is justified by all her children.” Wisdom does not speak but her actions speak, the term ‘child’ is referring to deeds. Wisdom is always quiet but her deeds speak, run a silent race. When you read the vision you become Christ and He is the one who speaks, not you.
[Habakkuk 2:2], “Write the vision and make it plain on tablets…” We only hear about the action of the runner and only know about the person who reads the vision according to how well the runner has run the race. The one who reads knows wisdom by her actions and not her speech. Paul ran his race in silence but silence does not mean do not speak. Martha tried to teach Jesus that Lazarus is dead (and rotten) but Jesus knew in His mind that Lazarus will wake up. Martha and Mary said the same thing saying, “If you were here he would not be dead.” (see John 11:21). For Mary to say this it is still regarded as silence. Being silent means not coming with anything other than of God.
Most of you are married to doctors’ reports instead of Christ. The statement of Martha implies that the disease is not curable but Mary implied that the Lord will cure the disease. She actually said ‘because you are here Lord we know all things are possible’, we will be quiet and allow you to resurrect Lazarus. Be quiet, behold the visionary and run your race.
What makes best athletes popular? Is it running or speaking? Do not come and say God is powerful yet you do not prove it. Confront sickness if you know God is a healer. Even though she (wisdom) does not speak, with her touch, we see the lame walk. You are wisdom, lead in silence! Be known by your actions other than your talk. You do not have to explain love, patience or kindness however you are to display them. Fruits are not seen when you speak but through your deeds. There are some scriptures I would not teach about, you have to look at me to learn about them. Paul sent Timothy to remind the Churches at Corinth of his conduct even though he sent them a letter, so it means the letter was limited and could not remind them of all his conduct.
[Luke 10:38-42], verse (41), “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone?” Martha spoke too much, she was not running her race, her race was to cook and Mary’s race was to be at the feet. This time Mary was not anointing Jesus, she was just sitting there and Jesus replied to her and said, “…you are worried and troubled about many things…’ She was full of the world in her mind. Mary had chosen the path of silence, she was all about her own business. She was also serving but was serving in another way different than Martha. Do not be a worried about many things however behold Christ who is our vision, do not observe what others are doing and how God uses them, rather focus on Christ.
When you are not focused on the vision (Jesus), it will be taken away because you are not focused. Do not look at someone’s vision, to us He reveals Himself as the one who turns water into wine but to the other He reveals Himself as the one who lays hands. How John explains the Throne of God is not the same as Ezekiel explains it. Even the vision the disciples had about Jesus were not the same though they were all with him for three years. Your purpose is not to teach but to become like Christ. Unaware of how you are to become like Him however, all you know is that you need to become Christ. By looking at what He did elsewhere, you give Him allowance to do His will in you without interrupting Him
[John 11:24], “He found that he had already been in the tomb for four days.” Jesus did not want to know that how long Lazarus was in the tomb. When Martha heard that Jesus is coming, she ran out of the house. Verse (24), “I know he will rise again in the last days.” Know when to keep quiet, Martha is not a learner because she kept on trying to teach the teacher! She rejected the teaching of the Lord because she knew too much. Do not go to God with knowledge, whenever you go before God be empty, do not go to God with yesterday’s teaching or revelation, let every day be new. Verse (25), “I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” Jesus was rebuking Martha.
Verse (28), “The teacher has come and is calling for you.” Martha even exaggerates. Some manipulate the name of God when they want things but Mary teaches through actions. The Jews followed her and she would not say a thing to them, she ministered in action. There were many Martha’s at home, they complained that they have been doing chores for the whole week but Mary would be silent.
When Martha spoke, she did not touch the heart of Christ however Mary on the other hand caused Jesus to groan and resurrect Lazarus. Same words were spoken, the other led to a rebuke and the other produced a miracle. Mary was answered because her mind was not full of worry. As the Church let us be like Mary and not Martha. [John 12:3], “Then Mary took a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair.” She did not anoint them the first time she sat at His feet. [Luke 12:4-5], “Then one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son who would betray him said, “why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?” Mary’s actions revealed the hearts of the people to the master; as she was at the feet, Martha’s heart was exposed and the character of Judas was also exposed. Let your character and your excellence expose everything that is not of God, be quiet and serve.
[John 2:3], “When they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said unto him, they have no wine.” When Mary (the Mother of Jesus) saw that there is no wine, she knew where to go. We should also cry unto the Lord, no one else. Verse (5), “His mother said to the disciples, whatever He says to you, do it.” How many of us have such a character? How many Churches respond like Mary when they cry to the Lord and say for example “I need a Job” and when He says “it is not yet time they say ‘Alright’. How many take their Curriculum Vitae wherever the Lord says it must go?
We need to be like Mary, let the Word of the husband be final, do not stay and monitor what is going to happen with the water. Many of us plead cases and try to justify the need for certain things in our lives before God. Jesus answered Mary. When you remain quiet Jesus answers on your behalf. Mary is truly a son, she does not defend herself. Focus on Christ and forget what you want Him to do, forget that you applied for a job or a tender. Pray, every prayer that you pray will never get lost. Think about it, how many years were the Israelites out in the desert? God has heard that you need a job, you have anointed your Curriculum Vitae and applied many times but still there is no positive response, forget about it. They day the job comes it will not come because of anxiety but it will come because of the appointed time of the Father. See the goodness of God and let Him do all for you.
YESHUA, A CITY ON A HILL; THE LIGHT THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN
