‘LIVING BY THE SPIRIT’

When we come to Christianity we come in believing but along the line as we journey we end up losing the faith and believe that we started with. When we start to lose that, that is when our goal never gets reached. That is when our purpose in our lives is not manifested. The moment you are no longer walking in the light believe is no longer active. Your believe has been diluted.

[Luke 1:16-20]
”But behold, you will be mute and not able to speak until the day these things take place because you did not believe my words which will be fulfilled in their own time.”
When God spoke to Zachariah through an angel he did not believe. As he did not believe God had to give him a sign. God gave the sign by shutting the mouth of Zachariah. It means that whatever Zachariah was doing it was quiet before God. If you do not believe whatever that you do it becomes quiet. Whatever you may speak it does not have value because it is quiet. It is silent because you lacked believe.

[Luke 2:14-40]
The bible does not say that Mary believed but it says that Mary ponded, meaning that Mary accepted the word that was spoken. She did not meditate but she accepted what God said to her. Mary also received the name that was given by the angel. The name Jesus is not given by God but it is given by the angel to secure the Son. The name that was given was Christ but the angel came with the name Jesus.

Simeon was given the word that he will not die until he sees Christ. The moment he saw Christ, he was supposed to believe and when he believes in the light he was going to be part of the light. Simeon was given a choice that when death presents itself he can either choose death or light. What God spoke to him about, it was not according to the choice he made. When he was speaking he was holding the Son and what he was speaking about it was something that is in Jesus and not something that is there.

What God led him to see it was not something that was presented to him. At first, he spoke about what was inside (Jesus), and then after he closes Jesus and blesses the parents. This is telling us that even when he speaks about the sign, the one that is to cause the rising and falling of many is the one that he closed.
Many do not understand when something is close to them and that causes them to not believe. That is why it says you unbelieving Gentiles who bewitched you? They became bewitched by not believing when it was presented to them close. They failed to open and understand it. The moment they open and understand the inside they now start to reflect. And the moment you start to reflect it does not mean that it happens instantly.

It took Peter who walked with Jesus to wait in Jerusalem, meaning others also have to wait, and to wait it does not mean you need to look at the politics of Christianity but what you do not understand you leave it to God. When you are waiting you are taught how to discern.
Your light is not there to expose and follow but your light is to make you wait and work on your believe. Learn to wait and allow God to teach you. The sword was to pierce right through the soul meaning that we are going to lose Mary after giving birth. Mary was outside the book and as she was outside a sword will come and pierce her. The minute it comes and opens you, you will start to believe. That is why even after the death of Jesus, Mary cried for Jesus Christ, hence Jesus had to come and say to Mary that here is your child even though Mary did not understand.

Anna had made people wait in Jerusalem telling them that salvation is coming. When she comes and sees the Son she understood what was spoken by Samuel and what was recorded in the book of Moses. She looked and glorified the Messiah and after she went out to minister. The moment she goes to minister she ministers to the very same people who were waiting for this salvation. The bible does not reveal the people that Anna ministered to because the target was not the ministry that Anna came with. Anna gave them Jesus and not Christ. She ministered about Jesus and not Christ. That is why they could cast out demons in the name of Jesus but were not kept in Christ. That is why Peter tried to stop them but Jesus said that those who do this cannot do it if they are not with me.

[John 8:12-27]
“Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness but have the light of life. Jesus answered and said to them, even if I bear witness of Myself, My witness is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from and where I am going. You judge according to the flesh, I judge no one.”
When it comes to the politics of the church, sit. The moment you are taught to judge by the Spirit your judgement becomes true. If you are following Jesus you will not walk in darkness. David says that even if I walk in the valley of the shadow of death I fear no evil, it is not the darkness but it is the shadow. The shadow is the language or talks of death. I am walking in the shadow of death but what I heard from Simeon I start to believe. When I believe in the light I start to follow. When we are in believe even when there are politics in the church we do not look at it. It does not mean that we do not see it but we do not stress about it.

According to you, you have stumbled and fell but according to the Spirit that you believe in, you have not yet stumbled. God was teaching you how to stand up. The moment you are approached by darkness and you fall into the trap of darkness, you have not yet fallen as long as you can remember His love. As long as you can still open your lips there is still time for you to come to the light. The moment you stumble is the moment you start rejecting. The moment you reject it is when faith is no longer in existence for you.

Jesus came in the form of a man [the flesh] and the flesh is a sinful nature. Jesus comes and says that even in this sinful nature Christ testifies on My behalf. Even if there is sin surrounding Me but there is someone who bears witness of Me. The moment He bears that witness you see Him in flesh. God is not seen in miracles but His work is seen in miracles. God can still speak and you may end up missing what He said. There are things around you and you may find that God is speaking but you are not hearing because of what you see. It took Ezekiel to understand that God is above than what he could comprehend that he sat himself down and allowed God to teach him.

Death is a choice. It says that you will die in your sin and that sin is not believing. Because you do not believe you will die in that sin. If you do not believe that He is alive you will die in your sin. Even if you are surrounded by death if you do not believe you will die. The moment you say you do not believe in Him, confession is not what we say with our lips but it is what we say in our hearts. So when we believe, we believe in our hearts and confess in our hearts. The moment lips speak they speak what is in the heart. When He says you will die in your sin He speaks about what is in your heart. Believe is in the heart. There are people who preach about resurrection but their hearts do not believe.

If your heart believes you can see the light. Simeon believed that he will resurrect when Christ resurrects people and because of that believe it caused him to die. When Simeon spoke about departure, to depart is to come out of your flesh. So he wanted to depart from his body because he saw salvation. So Simeon understood and believed in the resurrection of death than resurrection without dying.
[Romans 8:11-12]
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.”
Quickening does not mean if we die but even if we are sick it will quicken our mortal bodies. What makes it not to quicken you is that you do not believe.

When we drink Holy communion we believe so whatever food you eat, the Spirit that lives in you will quicken because you believe. The conscious that tells you that you have done wrong when you obey and repent that is living by the Spirit. God speaks in your conscience. He becomes harsh on us the moment we are disobedient. It is nice to dwell more on the Word because in the Word God will come and teach you. The more you meditate on the Word the more God unveils things to you.
