Love does not discriminate
June 22, 2019
Love is without discrimination. When God created everything it had diversity and no discrimination. Everything had its own glory – that is love. This kind of Love is not looking for specific people but it is for all – it accommodates our differences. Therefore, if we keep such love, we do not look down on each other.
If someone hates his brother and says he loves the Lord, he is a liar. The moment you despise, discriminate or look down on someone – that is hatred. Hence, the bible encourages us to esteem ourselves lower than others. God saw it fit to come down to our level and esteem us higher by taking a lower position. When He looked at us He saw people who were greater – this was the eye He used.
[1 John 5:2], “By this we know [without any doubt] that we love the children of God: [expressing that love] when we love God and obey His commandments.”, when you have this love that is when you know him. Many claim to have this love. The moment you put a standard, there is no love because you have already measured who to love.
God does not receive a cat and leave the dog, the strength of the cheetah is the weakness of the lion – they were made different, but they are accepted the same. God admires each of their strengths. A lion uses its own body to put a prey down – so the weakness of the other is the strength of the other. The strength of a cheetah is speed – while it is a weakness of the lion. God is without discrimination, His love is given to the whole world and not to some.
God wants us to see love when we are looking at another person. Whichever eye you use to look, that does not have love is a lie. [1 John 2:5], “Whoever keeps his word, truly the love of God is perfected.” Perfection of love is when we see love in everyone and not just some. When we do not see God, love is not perfected. [1 John 4:11], “If God loved us we also ought to love others”, we should give the love that He gave us. Loving each other the very same way God has loved us. No one has seen God – anyone who claims to have seen God is a liar. The moment love is there, that is when you see God.
You have not seen God until you see Him in another person. How can you say you love the God you cannot see and hate the brother that you see? The existence of God is dependent on the person next to you, if you cannot see God in that person, then you do not know God. Why do we see God in animals and not in people? Why do we consider a cripple as a cripple and not consider it as art. To human beings when something is not normal, it is not God, this is discrimination – limiting God to what you are.
Animals cannot discriminate each other, yet we do, because they see God in each other. If God says, “Eat without discrimination” – this is love. When you discriminate you are passing judgement – and when you do that, you have sinned against what God has created. Discrimination is when you weigh two against each other.
How many people changed because they thought they do not fit in? We never caused God to love us, but He just loved us. [John 14:19], “A little while longer the world will not see me but you will see me, because I live…He who has my commandment and keeps them it is he who loves me…and I will love him.” Judas asked how it is possible for the world not to see Him and yet they (disciples) see him.
Jesus assured him that it is a matter of love. The Father sent Him with one mandate, God saw the world through love. The world had its own weaknesses yet He still gave. There are people who miss God because they do not love, do not walk blind – the only way to see God is to love and not to look down on each other. Another person might look funny to you, but irrespective of that, you must love them. How many of us think we are better than others? Do not put a standard on anyone and then compare them with someone else.
LET HE THAT HATH AN EAR LISTEN TO WHAT THE SPIRIT IS SAYING TO THE CHURCH
YESHUA; A CITY ON A HILL, THE LIGHT THAT CANNOT BE HIDDEN!!!
