In the beginning death reigned through Adam until Moses, and then, the law came into the picture until the times of Jesus. Then Jesus came to give us eternal life. When God created Adam, He placed him in the Garden to take care. But did God give Adam a book of how to live? No, but the way he lived was automatically in the His Will. He was perfect and holy as God is holy – so no book or law was necessary to teach Adam on how to live.
How did he survive, what did he have specifically, that enabled him to know what to do or say? Adam had a conscious (a little voice within him) that assisted him to make right decisions. So, all that Adam had to do was to listen and obey to that very voice until the end; because his conscious was the Will of God.
All went bad the minute Eve ate from the forbidden tree and gave Adam. At that moment, they lost their consciousness, then death came through. Take note that I am not talking about the Holy Spirit but consciousness. The Law was introduced to make people aware of their sins or deeds – The Ten Commandments. Everyone is born with a conscious, but not everyone has a conscious that is God willed, but it is what they are taught as they grow.
For example, drinking wine is normal to white people; even children are allowed to have a glass on the dinner table. However, some children are not even allowed to touch the bottle. Culture is not the Will of God, even though it might seem as if it goes in hand with His Word. What remains is that, if God did not speak, then it is not His Will.
So the ultimate goal of God is to bring back the consciousness that Adam had. Where we do not need the evidence of scriptures to confirm what we have to do, but our conscious automatically reminds us or makes us aware.
There are acts that many people do not do because they are not allowed at church, this then means, if they would stop fellowshipping at that particular church, they would certainly now feel free to perform them. It is just like the Law that brought fear, yet God does not want us to be afraid of doing certain things because the Law says so, but He wants us to automatically be made aware by our conscious.
Do you notice that the men of the old had many wives, even concubines, and why was this? It is because they never had an inner voice to tell them not to do certain things; even though God spoke through them. This is not only applicable to sin, you also need to be conscious in all areas of your life.
Have you been in a space where you realise that you should have done something because somehow you ‘felt it’? This is your conscious at work. This conscious assist us to make decisions. The Spirit of God and yours should testify. The problem is that when Adam sinned, his Spirit died and we were born into such. Hence, when one accepts Christ, their Spirit automatically becomes holy and sanctified. Therefore, when you dream and cannot remember what you dreamt, it is not your Spirit that forgot the dream but the flesh (mind).
[Ezekiel 11:12-18], and [Ezekiel 36:24]. The Israelites did not follow the statutes of the Lord but sunk down to the level of the customs that they grew up into. Just like our environments have an impact on us. For example, most Black people would go for a designer jean over a quality jean, whereas the White community would prefer a quality jean even though it is not pleasing to the eye. No one is right or wrong between both nations. However, to ask a question, who is it of you inquire from the Holy Spirit before buying an items?
One man of God once said, “When you are baptised with the Holy Spirit, it goes beyond your culture.” Verse (18), “When they return there, they will remove from it all [traces of] its detestable things and all its repulsive things (remnants of paganism).” Therefore, God brought them back and gave them a new heart, which was of one language – one heart. This heart will not cause one to speak of something while contradicting with the heart. Some things are not written in the bible, but this new heart will guide us on what to do and not what to do.
The minute Adam and Eve sinned, their hearts were hardened. And the hardening of the heart is a process, even though a person is baptised in the Holy Spirit; they can have a hardened heart. Look, the Holy Spirit can live in you, while you have a hardened heart but what matters is the end results, at the end you will blast or burst.
Some people have sinned to a point where they are without a conscious, yet they can stand and speak in tongues and people fall under the anointing. Thus, “Today when you hear my voice; do not harden your heart.” The new heart assists us to walk in the ways of God.
I have realised something: sin does not take away the Holy Spirit, but it kills your conscious. How many ministers, who commit sin are able to stand in the pulpit yet people fall? The Holy Spirit can still be at work yet people fall under the influence however, what matters is the heart of the minister.
Adam and Eve were chased out to prevent them from eating from the Tree of Life lest they remain as sinners eternally. They had to wait for the blood of Jesus to cleanse them so that they can have access to the Tree of Life. Jesus has revived our Spirits, so the Holy Spirit and your Spirit should testify together and not contradict each other.
We have become very ignorant of our hearts as they become hardened. Do not allow this to happen to you. This new heart enables us to judge right, that is, make God willed decisions.
[Hebrews 8:10], “for this is the covenant that I will make with the house of israel after those days, says the lord: I will imprint my laws upon their minds [even upon their innermost thoughts and understanding], and engrave them upon their hearts [effecting their regeneration]. And I will be their god, and they shall be my people.”
The baby that you feed is the one that grows. If you keep feeding your flesh while ignoring your conscious; your wages will be of the flesh. Do not ignore that inner voice (your conscious) in you, I know that you can even feel it. Simple, why do some people hide from the pastor whenever they are busy doing something wrong; e.g. drinking? By them seeing the pastor, does it not tell them that they might be doing something wrong?
Listen to that voice! I am not only talking about sin, but even in decision making. The world calls this inner voice an ‘instinct’ – but you know the truth. Man up and listen to your conscious! Your conscious is no longer of the world; the Lord has given you a new heart and a new Spirit. Consciousness is not discernment, it comes before discernment.
Even though you do not know that you are wrong, but when your conscious tells you that you are wrong, just apologise and you will realise later. Many times we fail to listen to God through our conscious. This new heart has His ways written on it as guidance. Receive this new heart!
