We are on 33 days fasting and as I was praying God said I should ask you, whatever you sacrificed prayer for, was it worth it? I am not saying this to condemn you, but you must weigh whether it was worth it or not. This is definitely not I but the Lord saying this. If I was God I would know where I belong in the list of your priorities. Think about things you were busy with, which prevented you from coming to prayer and weigh whether it was worth it? I have been in fasting where when I fast I would get tempted and eat and the moment I finish eating I start to think whether it was worth it or not. I believe God is saying this because it is a moment of repentance. God never makes you aware of your sins when He doesn’t want you to repent. God loves you so much that He doesn’t want you to live in sin.
There are people who left the comforts of their homes, some even come from far lands to come for prayer, and there is someone who is single yet they can’t come for prayer – God doesn’t hear you, you need to repent! Repentance is a change of way, not you speaking repentance with your lips. There are people who know the throne of God [only] when they want something, not when God wants them. We entered this fasting not knowing why, but while in it that’s when God revealed His plans. Many want to come to church to hear good things only; they don’t want to be rebuked. Most of the old prophets used to rebuke people more than comforting them. If you go to church and all you hear is comfort more than rebuke then you are not in the word of God.
As a father I am rebuking you, God didn’t say we should fast the whole year but He said for forty days, so was whatever reason [excuse you put before God] that made you miss prayers worth it? God requires that you give yourself to Him. We only have seven days left, if you were not doing it right, start now. Remember we are not toiling but we allow the Spirit to carry us; we avail ourselves and He does the rest. The biggest blessing we can have from God is unbroken fellowship with Him. As I was praying today, I was asking God where my sheep are? Then God said there is one key factor between the sheep and the shepherd; the shepherd just needs to speak and it is up to the sheep to listen. Humility is seen in such things, where you don’t take hold of anything, but you just need to be obedient.
I am not promising you much after this prayer, but I am promising you unbroken fellowship. Your Spirit should matter more than anything else. The bible says why are you afraid of the one who can destroy the flesh other than the one who can destroy both the flesh and spirit? Your reality should be the spiritual world rather than the physical world. The spiritual world is more real than the physical world.
Nothing could exist without Him. The word needs to be the standard voice and it needs to be the one that leads you. When the Spirit speaks, take heed of His words and run with them. The only time you can live like a bird is when you are quick to listen in the Spirit. When the Spirit leads you, there is peace in it. Jesus Christ says I will give you peace that surpasses all understanding. Thus when your peace is in God, no one [and nothing] can take it away.
There are some people whom when they are removed from their positions, they begin to change their actions. As your father, I do not respect my position more than my relationship with God. My love for you is not the same as the love I have for Him. Hence Jesus asked Peter do you love me. In God having a relationship with him there are responsibilities.
Do not lose focus in your relationship with God for the sake of your position. When you are not at prayer, who is praying for your family? Do not make this forty days and forty nights prayer all about you, when God requires you, He doesn’t tell you His plans but you realize inside the fasting that this is what you need to pray for. Some of you are fine but your relatives are not. It starts with you, where there is fire that is where you flame up.
God calls you in prayer because you are burning so that you can flame up and torch others whose fire is off. This is not for you alone but for everyone around you. The things of God don’t make sense now, but on the other side there are greener pastures. We always want things now not knowing what the other side has for us. You must know as a believer, you are a leader in silence. Your work is not to fetch your family members but it is for them to follow you; never go and play in the playground of the devil claiming to win someone.
You are a leader in silence, even those who criticize you, are watching everything you do. So when you succumb to where they are, you are falling with them. Jesus didn’t follow Mary but He left her. He never even attended His mother’s birthday, only to win her. When Jesus’ family came looking for Him, He never stood up to speak to them but He sent someone to tell them that His family are the ones He is with. We don’t know whether they were offended or not but one thing we know is that Mary was won back when Jesus was crucified. She was not won by Jesus attending her birthday but by Him doing the work of the Lord. The only way to win those who discourage you is to continue doing the work of the Lord – be silent and serve while coming to church.
Do not prove that your way is right but leave them in silence. They are looking at what you are doing and how you esteem salvation. I thank God for this fasting, God said to me this morning that I am going to lose lots of sons, many people are not going to keep up with me. This is the moment I cherish more than anything, because this is where an eagle gets new feathers. Repent so that you can be closer to God. Pray at all times through the Spirit. I always say, if I as your spiritual father, I am able to fast forward when I see people kissing on TV and you as my son watch; one thing you must know is that I do not fast forward because I am weak but because I know the power of a seed. A seed takes its time and it waits for the time you have forgotten about it, this is what the world does to us. Let this be a worry to you if you are not able to leave social media or television for God.
God required you to be away from people, social media and television because no one should be an obstacle between you and God –Repent and change! [Ephesians 6:18]“Praying always with all prayer and supplications in the spirit”. A person is divided into two natures; the divine and natural nature. When the bible says, pray always in the Spirit, it is saying pray always in the divine person. Let the divine person be the one praying at all times, not the natural person. The one who is speaking now is the natural person, eating from the divine person. The natural person has to download the message from the divine person and present it to you, to hear. If the divine person were to speak, you wouldn’t hear anything. 1 Thessalonians 5:16, As I am preaching to you, the divine person has power to pray. The natural person has a time to cease; he can only do one thing at a time. A divine person can pray without ceasing. Prayer is communication between man and God. The person in me needs to be continually communicating with God. Many people claim to be praying 24 hours while it was the flesh praying.
Jesus did everything in Spirit, hence when He said “Thank you Father” they were confused. If there is something you should learn in this prayer and fasting is how to pray. There are things I have taught in this prayer and fasting which are for a lifetime and not for forty days only. When you eat, sleep and work, the divine man needs to be praying. We are in a season of prayer not to go out of it but to stay in it. We are in the season of prayer and not eating but it should be so even when we are eating. What is the flesh? Each person has a flesh, when the Bible says, do not be in the flesh it means your mind should not be in the world. The mind became the flesh when people started to think worldly. How do you pray in the Spirit? You do so with your mind. When you meditate and speak with your mind, you are praying in the Spirit. A prayer of the Spirit is a prayer where lips are not moving but your mind praying.
Your mind becomes fruitful when you allow it. When you pray in tongues your mind becomes unfruitful in the flesh, so you should speak until you become fruitful in the Spirit. How does it become fruitful in the Spirit? It is when no one sees your lips moving but you are busy praying in the Spirit. Prayer is a matter of your mind being in the Word and in God, not when your lips are moving! Even as I am preaching your mind should be in prayer. Your minds should be busy in prayer and praying without ceasing. Hear the word of God at the throne. As I am ministering to you, connect to God. People become attacked even though they pray with their lips, but the moment your mind is in prayer, the devil cannot attack you. The strong man in you is your mind not your lips.
If you pray with your lips only, the devil will invade in your life. Some people sit on their beds asking themselves what they will pay their debts with. Don’t find yourself praying with us while your mind is roaming around. Let your mind be in prayer – in God. We need to be in prayer 24 hours starting from our minds, when we open our lips they should explain what the mind has been saying because your mind has become seasoned. The only way we connect with God is when the mind is in Him. If your mind is preoccupied by other things, then you are far from God. The only way you can occupy your mind with the word is when you remain in it. Your mind can’t eat what it is not fed.
You were taught the world, sex, lying, stealing and it found the nature of the fallen man in you and it took advantage of it. You can be taught how to be divine only if you go through the Word. We stand here and teach that the bible is not the word but you can’t get to the word without the bible. Do not close the bible while you have not touched it. You have to first be in it in order to know when to close it and mediate on the word. You expect poverty to go away while you feed it every day? We can’t be busy on social media and watching TV more than we are with God and expect to have full deliverance. Turn them on only when you know you have power over them. The spirit man must be nourished more than the natural man. Don’t expect to be free in your mind while you feed it with the world.
When you defeat your weaknesses do it completely, do not have any provision for the demons you have fought. Pray all times in the Spirit. A blind man can’t lead a blind man, but you need someone who can see. Some of you came to church and found people who are struggling with the same thing you struggle with, these are not the people you should be walking with instead you need someone who is stronger than you to walk with you. In God you must capitalize, the only time you can be selfish is when it comes to your spiritual life. Some people fall because of the people they love.
This are the silly mistakes Christians do; they think they can save someone who is falling by falling with them. Look for people who will encourage you and draw you up, people who will tell you the truth, not people who will comfort you in your wrong doings. Look for people who will lead you to glory. These are people you must associate with in church. Look for people who want you to live and not die, not people who will elevate you in your weakness. Such people are the ones destroying you. The devil has left the church to destroy itself. People live in lies and their relationships are built on lies. As long as you comfort each other with lies, God is not there.
Pray at all times in the Spirit. Do not feed your mind with rubbish. You need to meditate continuously for the Word to be in you. We should make sure that everything that surrounds us reminds us of God. I would rather stay with brethren than to stay with a family member who is not born again. Family is not afraid of bewitching you, so when you separate from them you separate from the temple of the devil. People who bewitch you are those who are double minded; sometimes they are fine with you going to church and sometimes they are not. We must pray in the will of God at all times.
