ARISE AND WALK

[Acts 3:1-8]

Today I want to tell you that silver and gold I do not have but in the name of Jesus rise up and walk. That’s my prayer, my declaration for you today. In the name of Jesus, rise up and walk; that’s what I’m giving you today.

They took a man and put him up the roof and when they had done that, the man couldn’t walk then the first thing Jesus addressed was “your sins are forgiven.” When the Pharisees heard that, they questioned themselves because the only person who can forgive sins is God so what Jesus was doing was blasphemy.  

Jesus said, “what is easier, to say your sins are forgiven or rise up and walk?” The answer is not the same for everyone in this verse. For God what is easier is “Rise up and walk”, but “your sins are forgiven” is tough because Jesus has to go to the cross. But for the Pharisees what is easier is “your sins are forgiven” but “rise up and walk” to them it’s difficult.

What is deemed difficult in your life is the easiest thing for God. So, rise up and walk. Some might say but why must I rise up and walk because I am not lame? Whatever that you are disabled in (an inability to do something), unable to do or to achieve, today I say rise up and walk.

Maybe the love and peace in your family are dead, I say rise up and walk. Maybe it is your pocket that needs resurrection, rise up and walk.

When John and Peter were arrested and summoned to court and asked by which power? They answered and said by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ whom you have killed, whom you rejected and He has risen. Without the resurrection, there is no power. So they had to mention that this is Jesus who died and was resurrected because His power is in the resurrection.

Rise up and walk, silver and gold I do not have, a prophetic word for you I do not have, laying of hands I won’t do, but now I say rise up and walk in whatever situation you are in.

When you are faced with a giant, you have to remember where God has taken you. A giant is only a giant when it is standing next to you, but wait until you triumph over him then it will become nothing.

In your marriage, finances, career, etc arise and walk. The Spirit that healed Peter’s mother-in-law is the same Spirit that turned water into wine, the same Spirit that healed the lame man to walk is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. If you don’t acknowledge the grace/anointing that healed the flu, you will miss the anointing or the grace working in you that will be evident in the resurrection. So, appreciate the Spirit that healed the flu because that very same Spirit is the one that will make things happen for you.

Some trust in chariots, some trust in horses but we trust in the Lord. All of these other gods are the works of men. Arise and walk!
