‘THE FOOLISHNESS OF GOD NULLIFIES THE WISDOM OF THIS WORLD’

Today I was listening to this other minister who was ministering about the Will and I meditated deeply on that. While I was busy meditating, God said that “it is easy to say yes to the Will than to be in the Will”. You can say yes to the Will and fail to be in the Will. Saying yes to the Will is not sufficient. Jesus praying that the Will must be done but not carrying the cross is useless. The Will is the cross. This generation knows how to say “yes to the Will” but being in the Will is the most difficult thing.

 

It was easy for the men of the old to follow God because they didn’t have many options. In our days the world has many things but the Will still remains. In the olden days, it’s either you followed Jesus or you become a fisherman. The main thing that kept them is the law. The very same law that Jesus says He came to fulfill. It was easy in those days to live in the Will of God. These are the most toughest times. It was not going to be easy for Peter and the other disciples to survive in our days.

 

The biggest challenge that this generation has is sticking to the decisions that they have made. The minute you say you are taking the Will of God, stick to that decision. It all starts with small things. It is important for you as a Christian to stick to the Will of God. Never get used to a life of letting things go. Life is a routine. There are routines that you need to accept and take them forever. Longing and crying for more is what takes people out of Christianity, not being happy and grateful for what you have. Growth does not mean that the routine will change. Leaving your routine is not maturity. We need to remain and be the way God called us.

 

The greatest gift you can receive is being a child. Many of you cannot worship God to the fullest because you have grown. You cannot dance for God because you are an adult. You cannot come in Christ with the capacity to act because you will lead God. Many have led God unaware, leading God is not only limited to you telling the father what to do. You are leading God when the Spirit in you praises Him but you are sitting down. Sometimes God does not lead you from the inside of you; not recognizing God in one who stands before you and leads you to worship or intercession is leading God.

 

Have you seen Christ in the one who stands before you because when they stand it is no longer them but Christ? If Jesus was to appear physically now, many of you would fall because you can see Him. Some children just follow and some reason and question everything. Many of you are not killed by your weaknesses, the incapability to pray, sin, or the desires of the world but you are killed by not being a child. Being a child is your strongest weapon. Children listen, they have a teachable spirit hence they say children can easily learn anything.

 

You must be able to listen regardless of the change of your status or how mightily God uses you. If a child is brought up by mute parents, the child will not be able to speak. Speaking comes through hearing. You do not do the Will because you know it but because you hear and obey it. Are your ears being used? In the book of revelation, Jesus emphasizes that those who have an ear must hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The churches that received those letters thought they could hear God. Do not hear God like an adult but like a child. When a child listens, there is progress. It is easy to hear a sound when people are speaking but not easy to perceive what they are saying, the biggest weakness that Christians have is listening.

 

The biggest problem with worshippers is that they practice a lot and they do not worship. Practice leads to performance, you cannot give someone what you never ate. You give people what you are. What makes you a worshipper is not how you practice but how you worship God. Some worshippers when they come before God and claim to be worshipping, God says “who are you?” because you are not a worshipper when you are alone. If the Word of God does not excite you but you get excited by the things of the world then you have a serious problem. If you can watch a series the whole night but cannot read the Word the whole night, you must be concerned.

 

Many compare what is in the church with what is in the world. Refuse to compete. I want to advice sisters, you can easily be deceived by Judas in the church because you want to be with your ‘type’. Let not your attraction be the things of the world. Salvation is hearing the Word of God and having the excitement of it. In everything, do not be moved by a beat in the flesh but the Spirit in you must be excited as well. Most of you are excited by what is not godly.

The word ‘cunning’ means that the serpent was smart. What kills many Christians is that they persuade wisdom that is not a gift from God. Many want to apply their wisdom when God instructs them. It takes a fool to follow Jesus. The core thing about Christianity is being a fool. The book of Corinthians says that “the foolishness of God nullifies the wisdom of this world.” It takes a fool to believe that God will heal you while someone had the same believe but they died.

 

It takes a fool to believe that you will get a job while someone sent their CVs but they are not working. Confidence is no longer in God but in knowledge. Knowing is not knowing but not knowing is knowing. Those who do not know are the ones who God gives them knowledge. Never use what God has equipped you with to move you from faith. Christians want to know the good and evil, they can bring it out of the tree of life. They do not realize that it is what they see not what the tree has. The way you perceive things is very important. What you see in the Spirit is what you get.

There are people who dispute everything to a point where they do not receive anything from God. Many have brought the wisdom of the world into the church not knowing that it has been nullified. Knowing God does not come through wisdom. If you were argumentative in the world and you are still like that in the church, know that you are missing it. You have not let go of who you are. This generation excels in making babies not raising them. Raising a baby is not dependent on finances but it is a psychological issue. Leave your own wisdom when it comes to the things of God, become a fool. You cannot serve while you are not a fool.

 

Be honest with yourself, you see that the more you reason is the more you are drawn away from the father. It is good sometimes to be a fool. Sometimes our wisdom interferes with the plans of God. You can read the bible and get your wisdom but not the Word. The minute we make immortality compulsory regardless of the Will, then we are missing it. Never use what God gives you against Him. Empty your mind whenever you come before God for blessed are the hungry for they shall be filled. The parent knows better, when he says “eat” then you must eat.

 

This also kills marriages because no one wants to be a fool. Pharaoh and David were both kings, they had the same authority and power but the other one’s heart was hardened. David forgot that he was a king when Samuel corrected him, he humbled himself. Some husbands are like Pharaoh in their households. I have led many Pharaohs and I am still leading them even now. People who are stubborn think they are wise. Most of the time when you think you are right, you are not right. You can only know whether you are right or not by listening.

 

Internal auditors audit what is internal, they make sure that everything is right before the external auditor comes. Both auditors depend on each other, they cannot fight. When people introspect themselves in Christianity, they fight the external auditor. The external auditor is there to correct what the internal auditor has missed. The external auditor cannot correct you if you do not open up. You are hiding some files yet you expect the auditor to give you a solution that will make you stand. As much as correction is painful, it helps a lot. I do not know what people get baptized into what does not change their hearts. People are denying

the Spirit to change them. The Holy Spirit softens you and changes your heart. Never mistake the touch of the spirit and being baptized by the spirit. Once you are immense, your behaviour changes.

 

When God speaks, the right voice is not always the loud one. There is a prophet of God who saw earthquakes and thunder but God was not there; in a small voice, that is where God was. You need to hear the wisdom and the power of God. People who dispute the Bible think and seem wise yet the foolishness of God nullifies that wisdom. Someday your tears will be your stumbling block. Be careful that your cry does not turn you to witchcraft. Life is not all about what you possess, Jesus is eternal life. Many of you would have cursed God way before your wife asks you to if you were in the position of Job. He looked like he was cursed. We have lost the importance of salvation. It is not all about what we get out of it but what we got – life.

It takes you being a fool to be wise. What we call wisdom is not wisdom. Be a fool at all times. If you become a fool, most of the things that you experience in salvation will not be there anymore. You cannot mind your own business if you are not a fool. Applying your own wisdom comes with disappointments.
