[2 Corinthians 10:3-6]
Although we walk in flesh we do not wage our war in the flesh. Our fight is not physical but it is Spiritual. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God, they are spiritual and in God. The biggest weapon is the Word of God. There is nothing that happens without the influence of the Spirit, it is either light or darkness. It is a matter of distinguishing what kind of spirit it is, there are two spirits that govern the world.
Our daily encounters are either governed by light or darkness. Also with regards to sicknesses, they might seem physical but are spiritual, everything has a spiritual meaning. Mostly when bad things happen in our lives they are regarded as spiritual or bad, because bad is interpreted as darkness and good as light.
However it is possible to mistake a good thing as light while it is darkness, some people need to be delivered from their good life. Hence when some people are delivered they lose their jobs or marriages, because the foundation was darkness. The devil can open doors, one can pray, and the devil answers. The plan of the enemy is not for believers to live a hard life but for believers to live outside the Will of God.
The Bible says the devil came to steal, destroy and kill(See John 10) he does such by making sure that believers live outside the Will of God. Things might favor you in your life because they are meant to keep you out of the Will of God. When Jesus was tempted in the mountain, He was promised all the good things by the enemy and not bad things. Therefore it is not always the bad that is associated with the devil but even the good. Sometimes things don’t go well in your life because you are in the valley and it is just a season and has nothing to do with the enemy.
(Verse 4) Our weapons are not carnal but mighty in God, a mere prayer can deliver us. People often associate deliverance with falling when they are prayed for, unaware that by just hearing the word “In Jesus’s name” they have been delivered. To bind the devil does not need to be physical because it is a spiritual act, deliverance takes place spiritually. People think for a bigger problem there should be a bigger solution, yet by the power granted to us by saying the word “In Jesus’s name” situations change regardless of their sizes and without any cost and the only cost for your deliverance is believe. The only cost for your freedom is believing, believe in the spoken Word.
It is easy to disarm the evil one and it takes only believe. For the power of God to be active in our lives, we must believe, and for the power of darkness to prevail, there must be fear. Therefore choose wisely, ignorance can make dark powers to be powerless. We conquer darkness by not esteeming it high or uplifting it, darkness is under our feet. We have to bind strongholds first, with our Spiritual weapons. Most people want to toil for them to know that they have conquered. (Verse 5) Casting down arguments and bringing any thought into a captive. An argument takes place between two minds/thoughts. In a battle of arguments, one must be able to cast out such arguments from their minds, for a double-minded man can never please God(See James 1:8).
We ought to cast and bind, any thought which speaks contrary to the Word of God. We must have the voice and truly know the voice of God. “My sheep hears Me by My voice”(See John 10:27). We should reach a point where we are strangers to our own voices. The greatest battles are conquered in the mind. Resolve to know nothing but only know the voice of God. The knowledge of God is the Word we have received.
[Matthew 4:1-11]
The tempter came to Jesus and did not appear, this event took place in Jesus’s mind. Jesus replied, “Man shall not live on bread only but by the Word which proceeds from the mouth of God”. The devil took Jesus up into the mountain and showed Him all kingdoms and their splendor. (Verse 10) Jesus said unto him “Away with you Satan!” by saying this He was resisting the devil and the devil left Him. The bible says “resist the devil and he will flee away” (see James 4) resisting takes place in the mind and this is deliverance. Once demons have been casted out the mind will be transformed, this is the biggest deliverance.

“Submit to God and resist the devil he will flee away.”
The main purpose of the devil is to take us out of the Will and the purpose of God, he is not after our belongings or possessions. However, the devil will touch what is important to us to move us away from the purpose of God. The devil knows what’s important to us and that’s how he targets us, he knew what was important to Job. Similarly to Paul when the devil wanted to attack him, he did not take away his riches but took him to jail, his freedom was crucial and not possessions. Henceforth never glorify anything in your life and know that the enemy can never take away the Word but your possessions.
Let the Word be your deliverance and do not focus on any other voices and meditate on the Word always. You are not defeated when you are tempted but you are defeated when you fall into sin. Temptation is merely a suggestion and not a decision, hence when the devil comes with suggestions choose to focus on the Word. There are no strongholds that will stand in your way in all aspects of your life. Liberty is here. We have faith and everything begins in the spirit, therefore darkness is not an obstacle. Similar to the Faith of the centurion man, who said to Jesus send forth the Word and my daughter will be healed(See Matthew 8:5-13), immediately the daughter was healed. The Word of God is instant.
