Through one way or the other, we all need to have a personal knowledge of Christ, not just mere information about Him. That is, general awareness about Christ and His ways of doing things. For you can have such information and the gates of hades still prevail against you. Surely, countless people have this information about God, being a healer and a provider, compared to so much lack of knowledge about Him. That is, His true identity.
The moment you have this treasure of knowledge, intimacy is bound to be in your spirit, the very same way Adam knew his wife in the beginning. Realise this, women are powerful; they can bring what man gives to life. Basically, they are capable of turning a sperm (Word) into a human being (tangible blessing). It is the woman (church) who catches the seed (Word) – knowledge of Christ.
[Genesis 3:2], ‘’And when the woman saw that the tree was good (suitable, pleasant) for food and that it was delightful to look at, and a tree to be desired in order to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate; and gave some also to her husband, and he ate.’’ Adam and Eve had information about the tree of life, that when they eat from it, they will die. Yet the minute after they ate, their eyes which saw life became closed and they attained the knowledge that puffs up. With the tree of Life it is all about love.
The devil told her the truth, when he said she will eat and be like god – but they did not check which “god” the devil was referring to. Rather, the god referred to here was not the evil one (Devil) but it is the system of the world in which it operates. In this system, there are tough times and good times, there is happiness and sadness – this is knowledge of good (happiness) and evil (troubles). Moreover, there is complain(s), up(s) and down(s), but up there in the heavens, there is no change of situations, it is joy every day – one continues day.
Look, even though you are attacked down here in this physical realm, know that it is not your place of dwelling. You are of the heavenly realms, where there is no time and seasons. Do you notice that Adam and Eve were in the Garden of Eden for decades? We cannot use the system of this world to measure or to calculate the heavenly matters? For the Garden of Eden was not governed by the moon and the sun? The two great lights (Sun and Moon) were not created for Eden.
It is time for you to go into a deep sleep, yet be proactive in the Spiritual realm. We need to reach a level, where when we wake up, we find our houses clean without a sign of any physical evidence, this then testifying about the effort of the Spirit – don’t you know that the Spirit can clean? Selah! …Therefore, do we know calamity? No, we do not, we walk with God; we only know blessings. The bible says we ought to fix our eyes in Christ.
The matter or the error is not the eating, it is what then the eyes see after the eating by man. This is how Adam and Eve fell in spirit. What you see completely matters. For an instance, when you are wearing sunglasses which are tinted with a darker shade, all that you see when using them, will be a bit darker than normal. You need to live as though you are out of your life. Even though you experience a miscarriage or failure, continue to see God. Therefore, check what is it that you see? What knowledge do you have? What vision do you have?
[Mark 16:18], “They will pick up serpents; and [even] if they drink anything deadly, it will not hurt them’’. The knowledge of Christ does not kill. The moment you see poison, then it will harm you. Weapons prosper against you the moment you see them as weapons. Many are afraid of fire, but David was able to say, though he makes his bed in hades [fire], the Lord is there with him – see Psalm 139:8.
Our problem is that we fight sicknesses instead of resting in the bosom of Christ. Why are you fighting poverty? When Jesus was on the cross, He said, ‘’it is finished’’- see John 19:30. The moment you start fighting, you testify that you do not have a husband that fought for you, when you rest, you know that the husband has defeated on your behalf.
[Zecharia 4:7], ‘‘Who are you great mountain before the Lord?” Zerubbabel asked the mountain, ‘who are you?’ – Clearly Zerubbabel did not know of the mountain, he had no knowledge about the mountain before him, he only knew God. Do you know the mountain you are facing or Christ? You know too much, too much about poverty, sicknesses and failure. What you know is what you will have to fight, you cannot fight what you do not know. I resolve to know nothing but Christ. Resolve to know nothing but Christ crucified.
Paul shook off the snake that bit him, he did not go on to search so as to know if it had poison or not. People are trying too hard to know the causes of the misfortune they are experiencing. Stop searching to know if there are marriages in your family or not, know Christ and rest!
The blind man resolved to know his present state and future, period! Do you know Jesus as a healer, or did you just hear that He can heal? The moment you know Him through personal experience, then you can become one with Him. I don’t know whether its saliva in the water or what? Whether he (L.A Unknown) brushed his teeth or not? Whether he is sick? Your answer should be, ‘’I don’t know.’’ Take this saliva water and fill the world with the knowledge of our Lord, Christ.
When you come and tell us your problems during counselling, it is not for us to have information about what you went through, however, it is to help you offload and make you feel at ease. We do not work with your problems, we work with what God says – it is He at work. When the woman had to touch the cloak of Jesus’ garment, she did not have to explain how long she has being suffering, it all came out as a testimony. Power does not need to know or check how big your enemy is. Others think that they need to pray hard in order to receive power. In power, there are no measurements.
[Matthew 16:1], Jesus asked His disciples saying, ‘’ Who do people say that the Son of Man is?’’. This was information. Peter acquired this revelation through hearing not through seeing, hence, the church was built upon the rock (Christ) not Peter. If Peter had the knowledge of what the Father has revealed to them, he would not have denied Jesus. All the disciples had information about Jesus, the awareness of the miraculous signs He performed etc. Note this, by then, Christ was not yet revealed unto them all.
Hence, they (disciples) wanted to see the Father whilst they were with Jesus. And Jesus told them that as they have seen Him, they seen the Father. The prophets prophesied about the sufferings of Jesus but Peter did not know Jesus needed to suffer, that is why he wanted Jesus not to die. Only those who personally know about His sufferings, see His marks.
The minute you see Christ, you see each and everything through His eyes. What the bible cannot contain, the Spirit can contain. The world cannot contain everything that Jesus did, those who see (have personal knowledge of Christ), they are the one who can contain it. Someone needs to catch and grab hold of His precious knowledge. Realise, when the lighting hit, Paul was at once taken to the day of Jesus’s crucifixion. David also spoke of Jesus by saying, God do not delight in sacrifices but in a broken heart – this was referring to Jesus as the broken heart. The bread that was broken for the disciples and us the church.
David was a man after God’s heart, the heart (Jesus) was walking before David. David did not hear of the broken heart but he saw the heart. Every time when Jesus was busy with the timber of His Father, He saw Himself. This was not in the general time period, it was rather in the Spirit. We do not look at the cross and say 2000 years ago, we know that the cross still has the power even today, for the blood is still fresh. Faith is now! The crucifixion of Christ is now! The cross is not in the past but it is now!
It is time we only eat from the tree of life, the knowledge of Christ. Eve saw that the fruit was good to be eaten; today you will see it pleasant to only eat from tree of life. We are doing away with the tree of knowledge of good and evil. We now have two trees of life. [Revelation 10:9] The tree John was instructed to eat from, was the scroll itself. He ate and it became bitter in his stomach, then he was able to prophesy about the two witnesses (the two olive trees) just like Zechariah – one witness shut the heavens to rain and another one changed water into blood.
Furthermore, when Peter was fishing, he had information about the Messiah, knowledge came when he ate. From fishing, he saw fire with food prepared for him to eat. Only after eating, was he then asked if he loved much. This time, the Father did not have to help Peter by revealing that, the Son of Man is the Messiah, he personally had the eyes of the Father. Therefore, he moved from the latter revelation that came from the Father, to now seeing Christ face to face. Do you need a sign? Christ is revealed unto us, there is a sign on this table. I declare, the way you used to see, today it will change!
