THE SPIRIT OF MOTHERHOOD

We give God the glory – it is nice being a super valor. Some men are ashamed of being a [super] valor because they are conscious of gender. Such are the ones that tell women to keep quiet in church and stop ministering. The Spirit ministers beyond gender. Imagine saying a woman can’t teach. In actual fact, you are saying a donkey is better than a woman because God was able to speak through a donkey. This is an insult to women; you are saying God can only speak through a donkey and not a woman.

When you say women must not speak you are not of the Spirit. The early Church was birthed after Pentecostal; this is where gender, race, and discrimination had to be cancelled. When the Spirit comes down and speaks, He is not a respecter of man. Being male and female is just a position, but God is not a respecter of that position. You can be a woman who ministers the mysteries of God and He uses you mightily. Do not look at yourself according to gender because you are of the Spirit.

When we say Happy Mother’s Day we are saying so to the spirit of motherhood. Motherhood is found in the one who waters not the one who plants because the one who waters is able to do both planting and watering. Motherhood is not a position but it is a doing word. Many claim to be mothers, yet they are unable to mother. A mother is able to nourish. Being a mother doesn’t begin when you become pregnant but it begins when you start raising the child.

The question now is, are you able to raise? Many women became mothers unprepared, but when you mother someone you have to make a decision to do so. When you are pregnant, if you starve yourself, the baby will starve as well, but with motherhood, it is different because you can either choose to feed yourself and starve/neglect the child. A true mother understands that the seed comes from the head.

When you know who gives a child, you will not only take care of the one from your womb. True mothers raise generations, and their teachings last from generation to generation. Today when they say do not cut your nails at night, it is because there is a woman who taught that. When they say do not borrow salt at night, you must know that there is a woman who taught that. If there is a teaching that is transferred from generation to generation it is mostly household things. We have never seen many fathers who taught their children how to accumulate wealth, so by this, we understand that women are good teachers.

True mothers teach their daughters. When you see a woman not washing dishes or cleaning you must know that her mother was lazy. The daughter never had a mother. There are high chances that your daughters will remain girls, they can also give birth but it takes a mother to raise a child. When you go to a township you will find girls who are able to clean yet are poor, meaning poverty came through a man who never taught a son how to provide.

We have many households that are poor, this shows that fathers failed to transfer knowledge, yet the very same houses are clean because mothers were able to transfer their knowledge. When we say Happy Mother’s Day we are talking about qualities of raising, maintaining, sustaining, and holding a house together. Abigail was a wise woman who covered her husband’s weaknesses. A mother is able to keep the household together where things are collapsing and not going well.

When there is no bread in the house, a man will stand up and hustle to make sure he comes back with bread, but a woman will look for floor and oil and bake. A girl can sit and say there is no baking powder when there is flour and oil. A girl will say there is no way she can make gravy if there are no tomatoes whereas a mother can take flour, oil, and water and cook. A mother is able to make a plan and come up with something concrete to feed her family. A mother doesn’t give pressure to the husband to say there is no bread when flour is there.

This is why a prophet was sent to a woman who only had oil and flour to bake, how do you bake without baking powder? This was not a train smash for this woman, because she is a mother. A girl will always be at the back of your ear shouting that there is no meat but a mother will stand up and cook pap, boil water and mix it with Aromat and butter, and when the husband eats he will praise the wife for the food that she has cooked. When a baby has nasal congestion a mother is able to put their lips to their congested baby’s nostrils and slurp the snot away, while girls wait until morning when the pharmacies open.

When we say Happy Mother’s Day it is not for all mothers to claim, this is for mothers who do not allow things to be a mess in their presence. They brighten the night; they make sure that at night there is light. When Joseph had a vision, he saw his brothers as stars, his mother as a moon, and his father as the sun. When the moon shines at night you must understand that it is against all odds. You might not see clearly during the night but at least you will be able to walk, this is a role of a mother. Growing up we were below average, yet my mother made sure that we never felt it. She always made a plan, we never slept with an empty stomach even when times were tough.

I do not want to say Happy Mother’s Day to a woman who doesn’t go all out. You can’t call yourself a woman of valour while your room is dirty and untidy. If what is spiritual doesn’t have a physical reference, then it doesn’t exist. Heaven also has a physical reference which is earth, this is how God made things. You cannot be a woman of valour spiritually but physically you are not. You can’t be tongue-talking for hours and fail to wash dishes for 30 minutes. To show that someone doesn’t pray or read the bible you will see the untidiness around them. A woman who can’t wash her husband’s underwear is not a mother.

Many men get sick to a point of death and they can’t even help themselves to the toilet, but a woman will take care, clean, and feed her husband, these are mothers. Yet you will find a woman who gets sick and the husband leaving the wife because it is too hard for him. If we compare men and women, most men walk out when the woman gets sick. They would rather get someone to help. We will never be the same as husbands and wives.

What if God takes you through what Job went through? Instead of the woman taking care of the husband she wanted to curse God, this is not a mother. Husbands do not only need wives, but they need a mother. When the household is scattering, it is a mother who brings the family together, she makes sure there is laughter and peace in the house. To some motherhood is visible while you are still young, continue like that.

A mother does not only take care of her children. Brothers, I urge you, do not marry as if you are buying online, as they are serving in front of you they are displaying what they do in the household. Do not die for love, the threat to the love you have for her is her character. If you ignore the character because you love her, you are like a person who builds a wooden house without oil where termites are eating it. Laziness and bad character are termites, do not ignore signs.

The biggest error I have seen with this generation is thinking they will always be young. They are satisfied with their mothers taking care of them, in a way that they are lazy even to think. They only think when it suits them. Never live your life thinking about the present only and not preparing for the future.

[Genesis 2:4-18]

This is how things are supposed to be in your life. You must tend and take care before you eat, but nowadays people want to eat what they didn’t cook or bake. Adam was not eating from outside but he was eating from the very same garden he was taking care of. You are not going to school to feed someone but to feed yourself. God started by saying tend and keep. This generation doesn’t want to tend and keep but they just want to come and eat. They want shelter upon their head not knowing where it comes from. Verse 15 is for all genders, meaning that men should also be able to do household chores. You can’t sleep in a house that you cannot clean; you can’t eat the food you cannot cook.

(Verse 18) This is what the youth love the most. Many people quickly run for verse 15 and forget verse 18. To see that you are able to tend and keep, you will hear God saying it is not good for man to be alone. You can’t just go and have a woman but you have to go into a deep sleep; many people don’t want this, they want to approach. Brothers don’t want to go into a deep sleep. Do you know why God took out a rib and closed it up? Do you know why it is God choosing the woman and not Adam? The reason is Adam never chose nor created the garden, so if you can’t create it you can’t choose it.

If you can’t create her you can’t choose, but God has to choose for you. A sign/proof that you can’t make a sound decision on your own, is seen with the decisions you have made on your own. You can never talk about marriage but ignore how marriage was constituted. You want marriage but you don’t want the terms that come with marriage. People want what God has created but do not want what sustains it. When you plan to get married you can’t pray the way you used to pray before but your prayer life needs to go deeper. There must be a change in your spiritual life because another person is going to be your responsibility.

After God causes you to go into a deep sleep, He needs to take out the bone. Normal prayer won’t make God give you a wife but when you go deeper into prayer that is when He will give you one. When you go deeper that is when the operation takes place. A bone of your bones is only found in a deep sleep. The only time you regret ever marrying someone is when you have gone into a deep sleep. One thing I have realized as I teach about marriage is that there is no way you can marry someone who is not like you. There is no way a faithful person can marry an unfaithful person and vice versa. I am talking about the roots and not the fruits.

You can’t expect a woman who is faithful if you are unfaithful. There is no way you can marry someone who is not like you. The minute there was marriage you became one. For some, it becomes lying of lying, instead of bone of my bones. Before you can be one in faithfulness you will be one in lying first, which is the lowest point. The bad character always kicks out the good character. Before you become one in taking care you will become one in deception. Before you get married you must pray that God may uproot some of the things from you. Some no longer pray since they got married, this is why the Bible says ‘do not be equally yoked with unbelievers’, because it is easy for you to be one in ungodly things.

You start being the same with prayerlessness because someone entered with that character in marriage. You are what your spouse is. So definitely you will be the flesh of flesh, bone of bone, and spirit of spirit. Do not involve yourself in what comes after verse 15 if you are not interested in verse 15. Mothers and fathers need to teach their children such. Before you teach your child that they must work in order to eat, you must teach them that they need to wash dishes in order for them to eat. Paul says there is a teaching that needs to be transferred to our children.

As a young person, you must know that you won’t forever be young, you need to stand up and do something. Some people are very good at planning but they fail in implementation.
