THERE IS POWER IN THE NAME OF JESUS

[Romans 14:11]

“Every knee shall bow down and every tongue shall give praise to God.”

[John 14:14-16]

“If you ask Me anything in My name [as My representative], I will do it and if you really love Me, you will keep and obey My commandments.”

What God is saying to us is that most of the time we want to ask for things, however, we want to ask on our own accord. The Bible says anything we ask in His Name we shall receive, the problem is that we want to ask in our names.

We often say “in the name of Jesus” yet we continue to ask in our own accord. “In the name of Jesus” has become a culture and not the Name we trust. That is why many just pray for the sake of it which is proof enough that many do not know what the word Amen means, it’s just known that it is a word one says after a prayer. The word ‘amen’ is used religiously without understanding.

There is a different revival coming and if one is not in prayer they will miss it. Christians have become religious. Many come to church and yet do not do the works of God, churches are crowded but again God is saying the Word should be preached on the streets, we ought to win souls out there in the streets.

The sick and the possessed are not in the church but out there in the streets. Although we come to church to be strengthened it should not end there, we should be able to impact the world.

As believers, we ought to impact the community and by the community, I don’t mean ‘the church’ should turn into a feeding scheme or non-profit organization, however, it should win souls, heal the sick and deliver the possessed.

Many Ministers just want to stand in the pulpit to teach those who already have been taught, unaware that the work of God is out there. The problem with many Christians is that they want to empower themselves, while there is someone already empowered. We want to be powerful while there is already someone powerful and that is Christ Jesus.

We should trust in what we have received, that is Christ Jesus. Many want to go out into the world once they have received impartations, ready to go out once they are anointed while there is Jesus who is anointed.

Many are busy empowering themselves and their confidence is in the hours they have spent in prayer and not in God. In God, we are all equal and He gave us the same gift with the same portion, no one has the higher privilege to receive a bigger or lesser Jesus. He is equal.

The Bible says there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus (yet there are people who condemn themselves by wanting to make God complex while He is simple (See Romans 8:1).

There is a mystery in John 14:13 yet many miss it because they are so sophisticated, a mystery is not meant to be complex. We should not make God complicated, He is so simple.

Spiritual and prophetic instruments have gotten so much into our heads that we lost the revelation of Jesus and His name. Many have made the name of Jesus lesser compared to the administration of prophetic instruments. God has never seen Himself less in anything, we are the ones who limit Him by how we perceive certain things.

We often sing “there is power in the Name of Jesus” yet we do not believe in the very same Name. God is simple and when we have Him, we have all. Not portions but His fullness, He is complete in us.

What is easier? Is it saying one’s sins are forgiven or stand up and walk? (See Matthew 9:5) — Jesus took the two and placed them on the same level. We need to go back to the basics; that whenever we pray for the sick, whether they receive instant healing or not, we continue and not become discouraged.

We have been walking with Jesus while things were happening around us, yet we do not say “in the Name of Jesus” because we do not know that at the mention of His Name all knees bow.

Do not allow the atmosphere to define who God or His Presence is. We have built our own mountains and temples, and we only see the Presence in them. Many should do away with the thought that the church is powerful because of the singing and instruments and fail to acknowledge the Presence in their homes due to the absence of instruments.
