WATCH AND PRAY, LEST YOU FALL INTO TEMPTATION

When the devil attacks you, he doesn’t make you reject what is in the cup but makes you reject the cup. He will make you look at the cup in another way for you not to be able to drink what is in the cup. Everyone will have that challenge.

When you become born again and receive your spiritual father there is a special Spirit or anointing that God gives you to see that person as a spiritual being but there is a time when God will remove that. What is in you needs to enable you to see them the way the Spirit was showing you.

Judas did not sell the Messiah, he sold the son of Mary and Joseph. Peter did not deny the Messiah, he denied the son of Mary and Joseph. No one can reject the Messiah but what happens when that anointing that makes you see the Messiah is removed? The Bible in the book of Psalms says “Your Word is light unto my feet” it means the Word becomes your vision; the Word becomes light to guide you on how to walk.

The anointing is not only there to minister, but also that we see through. You can receive the anointing that becomes your vision that makes you see the man as a man of God but when the anointing is removed God wants the teachings to kick in. Jesus asked them who do you say I am? Peter said you are the Son of God. Jesus said to him flesh and blood did not reveal this to you but My Father in heaven. It means the Father intervened and made Peter see Jesus in a certain way.

But when Jesus was about to die for them, He said I leave you with My commandments, meaning now they did not need the Father to reveal to them to see Jesus as they used to see Him but they need to remember His teachings.

Not all ministers of the Gospel who the Father leaves have fallen. There are those that the Father leaves them because they are sinful but there are those that the Father leaves them because they are in trials and tests. Jesus shouts on the cross “My Father why have you forsaken Me?” when He was praying in Gethsemane, where was the Father? An angel came and strengthened Him. He was with the Father always but this time it seemed like the Father was not there.

If the Father was there, they would have not crucified Him. There was a season He entered where the Father deserted Him not because the Father is displeased with Him but because it is the Father who instructed Him to die for His people, but the Father knows that He can’t die for His people with Him.

The Father revealed Jesus to Peter, he saw Him in another dimension but when the Father left, Peter was able to deny Jesus. There were those who could see the Messiah while the Father was not there because when He left them, He said, “hold on to My commands” He prepared them that all you need to do in these times is to hold on to the teachings, they will keep you.

When Israel was walking in the desert, did they remember the teachings of Moses, the Lord’s supper that he gave them? They complained about Moses even though they are the ones who were celebrating when they left Egypt.

When there is another dimension for the ministry to go into, the father has to cross over alone first, he becomes the bridge for the ministry. For him to become the bridge for the ministry the father must remove himself, and the glory must go away. Jesus said to the disciples “I am going, where I am going you cannot come now but later on” meaning you will eventually come where I am going but you can’t come now.

For the Israelites to stay in Egypt when there was a famine in Canaan, Joseph had to be stripped off. Joseph had to be seen as a slave, not an Israelite. He was not just sold, he had to get to Egypt first for the Israelites to move to Egypt because the famine was coming in Canaan. They were moving to the next stage. Joseph had to become a bridge for Israel. He had to be stripped off, the garment had to be taken away.

When the church has to go into another dimension spiritually most people lose the vision of the father because they see him as the flesh. From one dimension to another the flesh must die not the Spirit. The Spirit has to move and allow the flesh to die because it cannot die while the Spirit is there.

“The Lord is my Shepherd, and I shall not want, even though I walk in the valley of death I shall not fear for the Lord is with me”. The Lord is My Shepherd to the sheep not to the Shepherd.  There is a time a Shepherd has to go to a place of death with the instruction. For the Shepherd to lead the sheep in the valley is because he knows the valley.

God said I will give you shepherds after My own heart but they need to be tested. A shepherd that is not tested will not lead you anywhere. If a shepherd is not tested it means he is not moving he is stagnant, the growth in a shepherd is the test that he goes through. It is not the anointing that is tested but the tongue, the mind, and the heart. God doesn’t test the anointing because He doesn’t lead with anointing He uses shepherds as His vessels, He doesn’t give them the ability to do but He does it.

The Bible says God did extraordinary miracles through the hands of Paul. He did not have an ability he was not anointed for this business, but he was a vessel for it. When an anointing is tested it is the anointing that matures not the minister but when it is the tongue that is given coal of fire it is the tongue that matures the vessel. When the minister goes through that, the sheep must remain with the teachings.

These are the songs Israelites sang when they were rejoicing. Where were these songs when they were complaining about water, food, the sun, and Moses’s wife? To be led don’t think you know. The journey to Canaan (the promised land) was 40 days but it took 40 years. The only way you can be led is when you do not know. Knowledge is power but it must not puff you up. What beats knowledge is love.

Love covers, it does not keep a record of wrong. Where there is love there is peace but where there is knowledge there are records.

You must see the people in the church in the right way even when they have confessed their sins, or they have done the worst thing against you.

What makes you fail to see my sons the way I see them? Why do you keep on seeing my sons the way you know them? Why do you keep knowledge of what they have done while I as a father say, “they are forgiven”. When there is no love, it will always be like that.

[Matthew 26:36- 41]

Jesus did not take all disciples, but  Peter, John, and James to pray. When He went with them, He said stay here because where He was going was the test from the Father for Him.

When He comes back who does He address? He addresses Peter, “Peter could you not watch with Me for one hour?” but this is not new teaching to Peter, He taught them all these years to pray. Jesus knew what was going to befall Peter. He sat with them at the table, and they were eating the Lord’s supper, Jesus said “one of you will betray Me and one of you will deny Me” it was still a prophecy.

About the betrayal, they asked who, Jesus said the one when I dip My bread and give to. Jesus made a direct prophecy when it comes to Judas but not Peter. To Judas He dipped bread and gave him, and “Satan entered”.

After a warning has been said Jesus sees it fit to take Peter, John, and James to pray and while they are there, the hour has come His trial time has come but it was not a trial time for Peter but temptation. In Jesus’s test, it was a temptation for Peter. He said “watch and pray” Jesus is not watching and praying He is praying but said to Peter “watch and pray”, meaning remember the teachings and start to pray.

When you don’t watch and pray you will try to prevent the Will of God because it doesn’t favour you. The Will of God doesn’t mean it is pleasant at all times sometimes it is unpleasant and uncomfortable. But are you watching and praying so you may be able to flow with the Will or you are just sitting that when it comes you try to change it?

Because Peter wasn’t watching and praying when they arrested Jesus, he took out the sword and cut the ear of the soldier and immediately Jesus rebuked him.

Few days back Jesus told them to go and buy swords. Jesus is the one who instructed them to do this, suddenly He rebukes Peter as if He is not the one who told them to buy swords.

Jesus says to Peter those who live by the sword will die by the sword, but He is the one who instructed them to buy the swords. When Jesus rebukes you for what you have not done wrong you must still find fault in yourself because He doesn’t address the situation but addresses motives and thoughts.

The Father doesn’t address your actions only, there is a time when the Father rebukes your actions but there is where He rebukes your thoughts, desires, etc. When you are addressed, you introspect. You are not above the Father that you should analyse the commands. When a command comes, you must introspect. Searching scriptures doesn’t make you right but introspecting makes you right. When you read a scripture and it doesn’t speak to you but speaks to someone else you are not meditating. Meditation prospers you not the other person. Many when they read the message to address another not themselves.

There was no need for Peter to be tempted and fall into temptation. His temptation was not sleeping with other women, drinking, and stealing his temptation was to deny Jesus. For him not to be in the Word and prayer he started to see the Messiah as Jesus the son of Mary and Joseph.

When you move from the Word and prayer, you will not see me as a Pastor. Sit and listen to people who complain about anything in the house of God you will not see the father the way you used to see him.
