‘LIVE ACCORDING TO THE WORD YOU RECEIVED’

We are here to eat from above. Be prepared for the Word of the Lord. I like what Pst Nozi said, that “The reason God said you should give is that He knows that there is provision.” So the reason God sent His Word is because He knows that there is someone who is going to listen. So you need to listen as the Word comes.

Prepare your heart to receive the Word. We need to have that communion and communication with the Word. Check how many people you communicate with within a day, the time you spend with people, and the time you spend with God. You need to give yourself much time with God. The most important thing is the Word. Except for the Word, there is nothing that we can do.

[John 1:1-18]

So it means you are made with the Word therefore without the Word you would have not existed. There is nothing we can do outside the parameters of the Word. Before we do anything we need to focus on the Word – which is from the beginning. We need to have a relationship with the Word. That is why Paul says ‘imitate me’. He cannot say “Imitate me” if he does not imitate someone.

You cannot say that you are a Yeshuanite yet you fail to follow the Word. If your father is in the Spirit then how can you not be in the Spirit? Hence we need to be in the Spirit in order to communicate with the Spirit. We need to receive the Word as the bible says that ‘He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him’. So He could not manifest Himself to them because they did not receive Him. So if you fail to receive the Word and be obedient to it, how can He manifest Himself to you? How can the Word of the Lord work in your life if you do not give yourself to it?

The bible says that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Therefore your body does not belong to you. So the moment you make it your own, God is not there because God is the one who is in charge of your body. The Word of the Lord must be the one controlling our lives. If you call yourself a son yet you do not receive the Word, you are not truly a son. Jesus used to listen to God. That is why the Father testifies that He is His Son.

Understand that you were not born from this earth. The moment you receive the Word you are not of this earth. When you live according to the dictates of this earth while you have the Word, you are contradicting the Word. It is the same as saying that Jesus died for nothing. The Word came to you and you need to live according to it. The moment you do not live according to it, you are against the Word and yourself because you are the Word.

The bible says that “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Now the Word is in you. The Word could not work in their lives because they did not believe.

We need to have that communion with the Lord. You cannot see if you are not obedient to the Word. If you do not believe, you cannot see Him and be with Him at any time. There are many people in the bible who were with God but not at any time. Jesus was able to have a relationship with God at any time, and God spoke to Him at any time. It meant the way He received the Word was different. It was not the same as others. That is why our father said that we shouldn’t compare ourselves with others.

Jesus was unique. You cannot ask why others are doing that, for you are not like them. You did not receive the Word the same. God was able to use people in the bible according to how they receive Him – according to how they have a relationship with Him. So how you give yourself to God matters.

(Verse 18), “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father…” The bosom is the intimate relationship – Word. It means Jesus was able to be in the heart of God. That is why He could hear everything that came. So when you are not in the bosom, what you speak will not be from God.

[John 14:3-10]

God told them that they know where He is going however they say that they do not know. This means they were not one with what He was teaching them. They were walking with the Word but they did not comprehend Him.
Just like in John 1:4 “And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.” It means there was something that caused them not to know God.

So we need to be in the place. It means Philip and Thomas were not in the Word – Place.
If they were, then there would have not been the need to ask. How can you ask about the way if you know it? Imagine walking with someone and you become confused yet you are walking with the Word. You have the Word in you yet you cannot understand the Word. When you are in the Word you will know the truth.

What made them not know is because they did not believe. There was no need for Jesus to call them sons because they did know the Word. It is like going to church without understanding what is happening inside. Knowledge is found in the Word.

Philip says that it will be sufficient for him to see the physical because Jesus was walking with Philip in the Spirit – they were walking with a Spirit so how can they not be in the Spirit? Hence he wanted to be sufficient. They wanted to be convinced that God is truly with them.
They did not have the same mind of God because when you are in the mind of God you can see the mind of the Father. How can you ask about God while you have His mind?

They only saw Him in the flesh and not in the Spirit. You walk with a person and do not see what is happening in the Spirit. It means all along you were led by the flesh. That is why our father said that he is not fathering our body, but our soul. If you know Him in the flesh then it means you are saying he is fathering your body. Perfection did not come, you know in part.

We have people who have a relationship with God but not that intimate. They know God but they still want to control themselves somewhere somehow. They still want to move themselves.

[Romans 10:1-3]
“For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted to the righteousness of God.”

Their own righteousness is their own belief. So you are righteous because you believed. It means they believe in a certain part and not the entire message. They want to be sufficient – meaning that at some point they were sufficient.

[John 1: 46]
“And Nathanael said to him, “Can anything good come out of Nazareth?” Philip said to him, “Come and see.”

Nathaniel wanted to see for him to believe. If Nathaniel was in the Spirit just as Jesus was, he would have seen Jesus whom Philip was talking about. He could not see because he was not in the place. You cannot see what is happening inside when you are outside. So how can Nathaniel see under the tree if he is not in the Spirit?

We ought to keep on believing, for in that a relationship is created. Yet when you give yourself to other things, you are creating another relationship. Some when you hear people speak, you are reminded of someone else other than being reminded of God. So what do you hear at any time? You need to hear the Word of the Lord at any time because God is always speaking. The book of Job  says “For God may speak in one way, or another, Yet man does not perceive it.” God is always speaking but where are the hearers? Let us hear God and be in the Spirit that we may be led by the Spirit.
They were supposed to know without asking. Where are you positioned when you are asking?

[Acts 1:12-14]

So now the Holy Spirit comes and finds them in one accord, now it shows that there was no one accord in John. If it was the case then they were going to be sufficient. You ask about the Father without being in one accord with Him. Now in Acts, they have the relationship, when the Holy Spirit comes they are able to receive power. Being in one accord helps us to see, believe, and being one with God. If you are not one with Him how can you believe? When God comes He reveals what is in you. How can He reveal what is in you?

The book of Jeremiah says, “Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.” So how can God perform when there is no Word? There is nothing that came to you but you want something to happen for you. Last year we were confessing that 2020 is a year of “Favor”, but it was not just favor. Noah was favored and he believed; he was obedient. So if you do not believe favor won’t work for you. You can confess many times, there is nothing wrong with confession. Confess what is in you, for if you confess other things it will be a hindrance for God to perform.

[1 John 1:5-6]

Our father Abraham Unknown taught us about practicing the truth. So if then you are not one with the father, how can you become a sheep whilst you do not listen? It starts with listening and then you believe. And when you believe it must be practical. So you cannot practice what you did not receive. Righteousness must be seen. The truth cannot be in us while we are not inside the truth. If you are not in Him, how can you produce what is from inside? If you are not inside you cannot benefit from inside.

So we cannot expect someone to produce the fruit of the Spirit if they do not have the Word. Noah believed that is why he built the ark. How can you built the ark without seeing the rain – something that is promising. To show that you have received the Word of God, it will be seen practically. If there is nothing practical, then it shows that you did not receive anything. You just heard the scripture and did not understand what is happening. Like the Israelites, you have a zeal without knowledge. They are ignorant of God’s Word. They are like the Romans when they failed to receive Him.

When you do not receive Him, it means that you are saying you are alright, you do not have a problem. We do not have to claim the relationship with God but we live according to it. If there is still darkness in us it means we are claiming – even if there is still a part of us it means we are claiming. Even John said that he is not the light. He used to fellowship with God but did not know the light. It meant before him the light did not come, but it only came after him. So now can we say that was an intimate relationship?

We want to hear God at any time but do you obey Him at any time? Some obey seasonally.

We need to practice the Word and believe that His Word is with us.
