OBEDIENT IS ALLOWING THE SPIRIT TO BE IN CONTROL
January 25, 2023
DO NOT LOSE YOUR SALT AND LIGHT
February 1, 2023We all know the Holy Spirit, He is part of the trinity – Jesus, the Father, and the Holy Spirit but they are one. The Holy Spirit within us does not have a level, but we grow in the Holy Spirit and not the Holy Spirit growing in us. We have equally received the fullness of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a person and speaks when least expected and individually so we need to learn how to hear Him.
We do not measure the growth of the Holy Spirit but we measure how we respond to the Holy Spirit because we must be able to hear Him. Without the Holy Spirit, we cannot believe, convictions come through the Spirit. We need to know the Holy Spirit and be able to respond when He speaks.
[Romans 8: 9]
“You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact, the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Him.”
[Acts 2:38]
Peter said to them…” repent and let all of you be baptized”. When there is repentance there is the disposal of the Holy Spirit. Upon getting baptized they received the gift of the Holy Spirit. Often manifestation is seen as receiving. After the resurrection, Jesus took the disciples and breathed upon them and they received the Holy Spirit. However, before the resurrection, the disciples only received tongues (See Act 2:4).
[Ephesians 1:13]
“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in Him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, therefore it is impossible for one to believe without the Holy Spirit.”
[Galatians 4:6]
God sent His spirit unto our hearts, our bodies belong to the Holy Spirit, and the factuality of the Holy Spirit is evident in the body. The Holy Spirit does not only give us a prayer life but guidance concerning the ways of life. Utterances and language to pray are granted by the Holy Spirit.
[1 Corinthians 12:13]
We are baptized and we are one in the Spirit because we have received the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not at our disposal to work for us, but we must work hand-in-hand, indeed He is a comforter and advocate but we should be co-workers of the Holy Spirit.
[Romans 5:5]
Hope does not disappoint; the Holy Spirit was poured into our hearts to enable us to love and have hope. We ought to learn the language of God, we cannot fully say we know the entire language of God. The Bible is a manual to guide us to know and understand the language of God.
The Holy Spirit comes/unfolds in three ways; fire (the Presence), purity, and passion, and these three we ought to receive when we receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will give us the passion to work for Him, fire will burn away everything that is not of Him and there will be purity.
